Absolutely anyone can achieve their dream smile here at Duo Orthodontics. Our highly skilled, multilingual team is led by two experienced, caring doctors, Dr. Gordon Barfield and Dr. Maria Lewis, who utilize the latest technology to deliver comfortable, predictable care. Whether your child needs braces or youre interested in aligners for yourself, were ready to make the treatment process easy, and its guaranteed to result in a bright, confident smile.
Moving the teeth and adjusting the bite is an extremely precise science, and to make sure we deliver exactly what a patient needs each and every time, we rely on state-of-the-art technology, like the iTero scanner. This allows us to capture a highly detailed digital impression of a patients teeth in minutes. We also maintain a 3D printing lab where we fabricate our own clear aligners and many more instruments designed to make our care as seamless and productive as possible.

Our friendly team is able to work with both the young as well as the young at heart, so you, your child, and even your parents can come see us to attain a gorgeous smile. We have services specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of each age group, and our team has years of experience treating both children and adults, meaning you can trust that were always ready to provide what you and your loved ones need.
Dr. Barfield earned his dental degree at the University of North Carolina (where he met THE Michael Jordan), and then he completed an Advanced General Dentistry Residency with the US Air Force. He then served as the Staff Comprehensive Dentist at Barksdale Airforce Base, before returning to his hometown to practice family and esthetic dentistry for 16 years. He went on to complete a Residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Nevada.
Dr Barfield and Dr. Lewis are both huge fans of travel and culture and have been to some of the most interesting places you would imagine. He is a sports superfan and never misses a game that involves the Braves, Tarheels, or Atlanta United. He also is a certified scuba diver. A big believer in giving back, he currently serves on the Clinical Review Panel for the Smiles Change Lives Foundation, which helps underprivileged families gain access to top-tier orthodontic care.

Everyone here is so friendly, and the atmosphere is super chill. The music they play is good as well. The people are nice and fun to talk to, and they make my day better all the time. I unfortunately am moving away, but this place was awesome, and I hope I can find another place like it to finish my treatment.

The Best staff ever. From the start of my treatment until now (almost done), they've made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They're very knowledgeable and confident in their profession. Dr. Barfield and his wife Dr. Lewis is the coolest orthodontist I've encountered, and very reassuring and very down to earth. Their staff is the best out there. The techs are very warm and conforming. Tiffany, the Clinical Director is Awesome, and I love the comradery they have with each other. I'm definitely a satisfied customer. 100%.

I always love coming here. The staff are extremely skilled and very friendly. I will definitely bring my kids here if they ever need braces. Dr. Barfield and Dr. Lewis are the best! You will love them. All of the orthodontic technicians I have met are very kind and friendly. Today I went for a scheduled visit for adjustments and I had Isabel as my technician. Isabel was very friendly and professional. The whole staff is outstanding. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

The vibes are immaculate. The ambience is so peaceful here and everyone is soooo nice, including Berenise E. who I had for my last appointment. Even though my teeth are sometimes sore after an appointment, it's still so relaxing here. Also they are very professional and know what they are doing to make our teeth straight! 11/10, would recommend
