Dr. Nichol Penna and Dr. Doug Delli Colli are proud and thankful to be able to continue Dunstan Dental Centers ownership as a family-run dental practice that specializes in caring for local families and patients of all ages. Dr. Nichols parents, Dr. Joseph Penna and Dr. Demi Kouzounas, opened Dunstan Dental Center in 1986 when Dr. Nichol was a young child. Although the dental office was like a second home to her, she never fathomed that one day she and her husband would continue ownership of the practice while raising a family of their own. After several years of partial ownership with her parents, Dr. Nichol and Dr. Doug transitioned to become full owners of Dunstan Dental Center in 2021.
Dr. Nichol Penna was raised in Saco, Maine and graduated from Thornton Academy in 2002. She continued her education at Colby College in Waterville, Maine and graduated in 2006 with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Nichol continued her education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. It was at Tufts that she met her future husband, Dr. Doug Delli Colli.
Dr. Doug Delli Colli was raised in Pepperell, Massachusetts and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in 2001. He furthered his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and graduated with a degree in Microbiology in 2005. Upon graduation he entered Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his degree in 2009.
Dr. Nichol and Dr. Doug enjoy spending time with their two young daughters. As a family, they enjoy what Maines four seasons have to offer and try to get outside to experience them all. Dr. Doug is a muscle car enthusiast and enjoys taking the family out to cruise nights and car shows during the warm months.
Dr. Doug and Dr. Nichol both enjoy furthering their education and find continuing education courses and local study clubs to be essential to their practice. Both are active members in the Greater Portland Dental Society, Maine Dental Association and American Dental Association. They are members of their local Spear Study Club and have enjoyed several mini residency programs together. Dr. Doug enjoyed several years as Adjunct Faculty at the University of New England Dental Hygiene School as a clinical supervisor. They take pride in providing their patients a comfortable experience and maintaining their patients trust. They enjoy providing full dental care to patients of all ages starting from 6 months old and continuing throughout their golden years. The personal connections they establish with their patients continues to drive them forward. They plan on continuing to bring new education and technology to their practice to offer to their patients the best experience possible.
Dr. Demitroula Kouzounas is a graduate of Thornton Academy, the University of Maine Orono and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She also completed post graduate training at the 86th Medical Detatchment at Giessen, West Germany.
She has helped coordinate the GPDS Dentists Who Care For Maine project for the past two years and volunteers at the Childrens Oral Health Program in Portland providing dental services for immigrants and the working poor of that city.
Dr. Colette Sirois was born and raised in Waterville, Maine. She pursued her undergraduate studies at Harvard University, earning her bachelors degree in history in 1977. She continued on to the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and earned her DMD in 1981.
Dr. Sirois spent her first year out of dental school in a general practice residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.She remained in southern New England for her first years in private practice, before returning to Maine.Dr. Sirois has been a part of the Dunstan Dental Center team since 1991.
Dr Sirois is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, and the Greater Portland Dental Society.She has also had the privilege of taking part in the annual Dentists Who Care for ME free dentistry day program.

This review is specifically for Dr. Doug. I wouldn't see anyone else but him. Like many others, I've had scarring experiences while receiving dental care, but Dr. Doug is fabulous. He is very friendly and kind, checks in with you to be sure you're comfortable, and communicates what he's doing throughout the exam or procedure. He is professional. Can't say enough good! Thank you Dr. Doug!

I am writing to give Dr. Sirois a review. My husband's entire family has been seeing Dr. Sirois for YEARS! After having seen her I can see why she is a patient favorite and has so many people only wanting to see her. She goes the extra the mile for each person and she gets to know you and your dental wants without sacrificing our dental health.

I came to Dustan Dental with a huge fear of the dentist after having a filling go wrong at another office. I'm finally over my fear of the dentist because of Dr. Sirous and her team. I only had wish I found her sooner in life. Thank you for your active listening, your effective communication and your dedication to the patient. You folks have gone out of your way to help and it does not go unnoticed. The front desk is very helpful as well!

After I moved to Maine it took almost 5 years to find a dental office that fit my needs. Dunstan dental has excellent hygienists, a dentist that partners with me for proactive dental care, and receptionists that offers great hospitality. It is very easy to highly recommend this practice.

I have been a patient for several years, I've always received the best dental care from the team at Dunstan Dental. I had an emergency today, and thanks to great scheduling, was able to be seen and have the problem resolved within hours of calling. I enjoy developing professional relationship in all that I do and I feel that Dunstan Dental is as interested in developing a relationship with me as I am with them.
