Quality is a trait all of us desire. You want the satisfaction of knowing youve purchased something attractive and of lasting value. Quality is the basis of our orthodontic practice, and I look forward to determining whichservices are best for you and your family.

Each day as we create beautiful smiles, we make wonderful memories and lifelong friendships. I want to assure you that our staff is committed to making your experience one of the best memories of your life!

A quality education prepared me to provide excellent care. I have been practicing orthodontics for more than 35 years and received specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. In addition, each year my staff and I take continuing education courses in order to provide the best treatment possible.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and human anatomy from Pacific Union College. I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University and continued with Loma Lindas orthodontic residency program and earned a Master of Science and specialty degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, Ive also had extensive experience in cleft palate treatment and orthognathic surgery.

Each year, I continue to take more than 60 hours of continuing education to remain current on the latest technological developments and surgical treatment. In addition, I help to educate future generations of orthodontists by lecturing at local or national meetings.

It has been my honor to receive the Table Clinic Research Award from the California Dental Association, and the Foundation for Orthodontic Research Award. It has also been my privilege to publish articles in the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics as well as deliver various continuing education presentations. My membership in several professional associations includes:

When Im not in the office, I love to be outdoors: gardening, hiking, running and snow skiing. I also enjoy creating art and watching sports events. That being said, Disneyland is one of my favorite places because I refuse to let the kid in me grow up.

At Dunn Orthodontics, our goal is to provide patients with the same type of care we expect for ourselves or our family. Not only do we believe excellence begins with your first visit and continues throughout your treatment, we also believe you become part of our family once you step into our office.

Dr. Dunn uses clinically proven orthodontic techniques to ensure our patients achieve the best possible smiles. Traditional metal braces are the gold standard for treatment of children and teens, and adults can take advantage of clear braces and ClearCorrect clear aligners.

Digital imaging that provides three-dimensional data for both soft tissue and hard tissue structures such as teeth and bone. This computerized imaging provides digital slices made at .25 mm increments in any direction.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children be examined by anorthodontist between the ages of five to seven years old. During the examination, we will evaluate whether your child would benefit from early treatment.

Early treatment, known as Phase One or Interceptive Treatment, typically begins around age eight or nine. Phase Two will begin around age 11 or older. The goal of early treatment is to correct the growth of the jaw and certain growth problems, such as underbite or a crossbite. Early treatment can also make room for permanent teeth and avoid impactions.

Orthodontic problems such as crowded teeth or too much space between the teeth, jaw growth problems, protruding teeth, and bad bites can be caused by a variety of circumstances. These circumstances may include genetics, injury, early or late loss of baby teeth, or thumb sucking.

Dr Dunn and his office staff are wonderful to work with. Me and my son have gone through orthodontic treatments for the past 2 years and we have not encountered any problems during our monthly visits. The office is composed of very nice, organized and caring staff. Dr Dunn is very patient in explaining the process, treatment, steps and end results. I highly recommend visiting this office.

I had a great experience with Dr. Dunn and my braces/retainer. My braces did exactly what they needed to. Since I have had my braces off a few years ago, my retainers work well and I had no issues getting my lower retainer repaired after I accidentally damaged it recently. Everyone in the office is very professional and nice, and Dr. Dunn works swiftly and walks you through everything he does. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This doctor ruined my face. I wanted to cry when I was shown the before and after pictures when I was done with his "treatment". And I still have to live with the damage he inflicted on me. He used three different retractive devices on me: headgear, a retainer, and braces. The head gear slung my maxilla backwards, the retainer was supposed to "encourage" my mandible to come forward, and the braces caused all my teeth to move backward in my face, blocking out any room for my wisdom teeth to come in. Instead of making more space for my jaws and teeth, he closed everything up. The entire time I was trusting this man to help me and fix my face, I wondered why pre-industrial humans never needed braces. Why didn't they suffer overbites or underbites, open bites or crowded teeth? Why did those humans need their wisdom teeth and not us? How did they have room for every single tooth? The answer is a lot more simple and easy and CHEAPER than what the orthodontic industry has to say. The answer to all those questions is that humans used to MAKE room for their teeth. Their tongue and face/neck muscles worked to shape the bones. Any athlete or anatomy or physiology student would understand this. It's a lie that your facial bones can't grow forward or upward to make space. It's a lie that your bones can't change in adulthood. How does bone lengthening work if adult bones can't grow or change? The bones to respond to force. For every biological process there is a reverse process. It's a simple fact that the orthodontic industry chooses to simply ignore. For your crowded teeth or other malocclusions, there is something your body can do to fix it. Or there are doctors that can help you with SUPPORTIVE appliances to help your body fix it. Please don't go here or anywhere else like it. Learn about orthotropics and some basic human development.
