I am dedicated to providing excellent care to every patient and strive to make every child feel comfortable and relaxed so they can have a fun and positive dental visit. A childs early dental experiences can shape their outlook on dentistry and medicine for the rest of their lives. Because of this, I believe in a total health approach where I am mindful of your childs overall well-being. My staff and I focus on prevention by teaching children and parents how to avoid cavities through proper dental hygiene. In the event that your child does require treatment, my goal is to accomplish this with as much comfort and as little anxiety as possible.

As a mother of two, I understand that each child is unique and I take the time to build trusting relationships with each child and their family. I foster this bond through patience, compassion, and positive reinforcement. I am passionate about pediatric dentistry and want your child to love coming to Duke City Pediatric Dentistry.

I grew up in Roswell, NM and completed my undergraduate degree at the University of New Mexico. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and remained in Colorado to complete a two-year pediatric dental residency at the Childrens Hospital in Denver. I served as the chief resident during my second year, and during my two years of advanced training, I treated a diverse population of patients and performed a wide variety of dental treatments. I dedicated my time to learning both the latest techniques in the treatment of children and behavioral methods to provide care in a non-threatening manner. I have the expertise in treating children of all ages and personalities, including those with special healthcare needs.

My husband Kevin and I enjoy traveling, hiking, sking and spending time outdoors in the beautiful New Mexico weather. We enjoy playing outside with our sons Brady and Bryce and love watching them grow and explore the world.

We recognize that all of our young patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our dental assistants are here to make your childs experience at Duke City Pediatric Dentistry as easy and stress-free as possible.

Usually found working alongside Dr. Coffman, our assistants help with many of the procedures and treatments your little one will receive at our office. They are dedicated individuals who look forward to building a relationship with you and your child.

This place is really, really fun, which is not a commonly used adjective for a dentists office but there is no other way to describe it. They have tvs while you are getting checked and you can watch almost any disney movie. They also give you a quarter at the end that you can use on the prize nachine. From Susheer

I have been bringing my son to Duke City Pediatric Dentistry for about 2 years now. I love how comfortable the staff, from the front office to the back office, makes my son feel! He always knows what office I'm talking about when it's appointment time with Dr. Coffman

I started my kids' dental care with Dr. Coffman five to six years ago. We were quite happy with Dr. Coffman and her team of hygienists before 2020. The staff were very friendly and good with kids and had smiles all the time. However, all these have changed since 2020. For over 2 years now, the staff appear to have become unfriendly and sometimes quite rude. They all have masks on during the whole time so the kids cannot see their smiles. In fact, I feel they do not smile at all whenever we have a dental appointment. I can understand all the precautions that they are taking with masks and temperature taking, and I can tolerate that. However, the thing that really bothers me is, whenever I refuse an unnecessary treatment suggestion for my kids' dental care, the hygienists were always unhappy and sometimes threatening. Here is an example. Just a few weeks ago, at the end of my son's regular teeth cleaning, his hygienist (I do not know her name since they all have masks on and I cannot tell who is who) suggested that my son will have a panoramic 3D X-ray image of his entire jaw to rule out any cavities and potential dental problems during his next visit. I immediately refused it since I do not want my son's head to be exposed to X-rays when there is no known problem with his teeth at all. I said something like "I am not comfortable to have my son's whole head exposed to X-rays at this age." I can tell that the hygienist was offended right away because I refused to do what she told me to do. Then I heard she said something like "Are you comfortable to see another doctor?" It took me a couple of seconds to realize what she meant. Basically, she was threatening me that if I do not do what she suggested, I should stop seeing Dr. Coffman. That was a very disappointing comment from the hygienist. Fortunately, Dr. Coffman herself is still friendly and respects my choice of dental treatment for my kids.

Used to be a great place but has seriously gone down hill. Find another place to go because even though the dentists here is amazing the staff are incompetent and rude.

Love this dentist. They are always on time and super efficient. And both of my girls love everyone there. They are kind and patient and make them feel comfortable - explaining everything they are doing. My oldest gets anxiety for docs/dentists and this is the only appointment she doesn't dread!

My 4YO LOVES visiting the dentist, she asks throughout the year when she gets to see Dr. Coffman again. I feel like this is testament enough of what a wonderful job the entire office does. She looks forward to her twice yearly dental visits the same way she looks forward to birthday parties.

We absolutely love Dr. Coffman and her staff. Everyone is super friendly and very helpful. Dr. Coffman and her hygienists do a great job of talking to my kids (5years and 3years old) and letting them know what is going to happen next. My daughter had to get fillings done and it was such an easy experience for both of us! Both of my kids love going to the dentist now that we have found Duke City Pediatric Dentistry and I recommend them to everyone.
