The Pacific Northwest has always been home for me. I was born and lived half my childhood in Portland back when it still had a small-town vibe. High School years were spent on the Clackamas River. Hiking & biking for miles in nature, I learned to love the seasons, history, and traditions of Oregon City and West Linn.
I returned to Portland to complete my undergrad and graduate degrees at Portland State University. After that, acceptance up the hill at OHSUs School of Dentistry was my dream-come-true because I had no desire to leave the area.
While finishing Dental School, I looked at all my options and decided theres no better place to raise a family and follow a career than at home in the Pacific Northwest. From that time, I committed myself to build a private dental practice that provides service to and makes a difference in the communities I grew up in.
Dr. G was our family dentist and made a big impact on my life. When we switched to him, I went into his office expecting the same anxiety-ridden trauma Id experienced before. But Dr. G proved a dentist can be gentle, calm, and engaging. He helped me understand there were options, why he had to do the work needed, and that a lot of people have the same feelings of fear and anxiety. In college, I realized that fear is a learned behavior, and dentistry was one of the few things I feared as a kid. I wanted to help others discover that dentistry doesnt have to be a bad experience like Dr. G did for me.
Another big inspiration is my mom. She spent 40 years in healthcare helping thousands of people. Year after year, I see her as one of the most benevolent people Ive ever met with a genuine sense of service. She continues to amaze me. Thanks for everything, mom!
While all of the above is important to me, its not my whole life. One of the keys to a long and successful career is a balanced life outside of the practice. Being at home with my family helps keep me focused and refreshed. My wife, Liz, and I have a small farm where weve raised four kids (only one still at home). We love our life of continual projects, being outdoors, music, spending time with animals, and having everyone home for special occasions. Off the farm, we enjoy time in Portland, trips to Central Oregon, events in local communities, and time with friends.
If you looked up Amazing Dental Hygienist in the dictionary, you would see Leslies picture. She is an extremely talented patient educator and very passionate about helping people understand the importance of their oral health. She has two beautiful daughters who are attending University of Oregon. Leslie and her husband enjoy weekend trips to visit their girls and cheer on the Ducks!
Alexis is our Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and has been Dr. Duggers sidekick for many years. With her huge, compassionate heart and expanse of dental knowledge, she is great at putting nervous patients at ease. She and her husband have resided in the Oregon City area for the last 15 years where they have raised three amazing teens. You can often find them watching lacrosse or a soccer game!
Debbie is one of the first people youll see when you arrive at our office. She takes great joy in helping reassure a nervous patient and setting them up for a successful visit. Debbie has 20 years of experience in the dental arena and prides herself in making lasting relationships with patients. She and her husband have two children and a dog named Luke that she loves more than any of them! Debbie loves going on outdoor adventures, usually with a camera in her hand and Luke by her side.

I count myself very fortunate to be a patient of Duggar Dentistry. Dr. Duggar practices at the highest level of the profession and he is easily the best primary care dentist that I have ever had. His team are all experienced professionals who are highly skilled. In addition to the top tier competence, Dr. Duggar and his team create an atmosphere of calm and respect for the patient. I always leave Duggar Dentistry feeling better than when I arrived. I love these guys. They are great. I recommend Dugger Dentistry 100% and without reservation.

Best Dentist and staff that I have ever had. I am not a big fan of the "Dentist Office" so I went in with my guard up. Dr. Dugger repaired/replaced 3 crowns that had been done at another Oregon City dentist that was done poorly and caused pain. The new crown work was a breeze and beautiful. Recently, he put in an implant to replace a tooth that needed to be removed, and it has gone extremely smooth. The bottom line, Dr. Dugger is a true craftsman of his trade. He brings tremendous skill and knowledge to his profession, always putting the patients care before anything else....a rare quality. The friendliness and kindness he and his staff present are truly a bonus!! I am never changing dentists...

With time and age problems can and do come up. Dr. Dugger and his staff have always met my challenges, from tooth breakdown, gum and root problems to wearing out enamel. Highly recommend this dentist his assistant(s) and office staff.

If there were 10 stars, I would've given them to Dugger Dentisty! Their staff is kind, professional and more than that, take time explaining the procedure to the patient. Leslie is a delightful hygienist and Dr. Dugger always stops by to see you after the cleaning. The office staff is warm and takes time explaining charges.

I really don't like going to the dentist but Dr. Dugger and his staff are so great it makes it easy. Got my teeth cleaned yesterday and they actually use warm water instead of cold and it makes a huge difference. Thank you Dr. Dugger and Team!

Have been going to Dr. Dugger for years. Warm, friendly and very supportive of the "dentalphobics" like myself. Great team and I love the fact I can show up and leave with my crown on the same day!!
