Dr. Sophie (Yoon-Mi) Lee Matracia, DMD, MS, was born and raised in South Korea. There she practiced as a licensed physical therapist before moving to America in 1998. Dr. Sophie continued her academic studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry in 2003.
Upon graduation from UCLA, Dr. Sophie moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She graduated with high honors in 2007 and was selected as a lifetime member of the National Dental Honors Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Choosing the pathway of further education and specialization in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Sophie was accepted into the Pediatric Dental Specialist Program at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Childrens Hospital in 2007. During her residency, Dr. Sophie was extensively trained in assisting children with special healthcare needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dr. Sophie received her MS in 2009, while also serving as a clinical instructor at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Sophie has practiced in the Columbus, Ohio area as an associate dentist since 2009. She is a certified member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the Ohio Dental Association, the Columbus Dental Society and The Ohio State University Women in Dentistry.
Carol is the Office Manager/ Administrator here at Dublin Kids Dental. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and an Associate of Arts degree in General Social Studies from the University of Findlay. She has over 10 years' experience in the dental field. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading and spending time with her husband and two children as well as family and friends.
Alyssa is a Front Desk and Insurance Coordinator here at Dublin Kids Dental. She studied Interior Decorating at Penn Foster College and plans on furthering her education in that field. She enjoys cooking, trying DIY's and taking long walks outside.
Alexandra is a Front Desk and Insurance Coordinator here at Dublin Kids Dental. She is currently enrolled at the Columbus Academy of Dental Assisting and plans on furthering her career in dentistry. She enjoys playing the piano, singing, hiking, and outdoor adventuring as well as spending time with her family and friends.
Sarah is a Certified Dental Assistant and Coronal Polisher here at Dublin Kids Dental. She attends Columbus State Community college and plans to transfer to Ohio State University to purse a Degree in Pediatric Dentistry. She enjoys playing the violin, spending time with her beloved pets as well as her family and friends.
Adalee is a Certified Dental Assistant and Coronal Polisher here at Dublin Kids Dental. She is currently attending Columbus State Community College for her Associate's Degree before transferring to Ohio State University to pursue a career in Dentistry. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking care of her Parrot, Pepe and her two dogs.
Adela is a Certified Dental Assistant, Coronal Polisher and EFDA here at Dublin Kids Dental. She is currently attending Columbus State Community College for her Associate's Degree before she transfers to Ohio State University to pursue a Degree in Dentistry. She enjoys playing sports outdoors, drawing and spending time with her family and friends.
Aliza is a Certified Dental Assistant and Coronal Polisher here at Dublin Kids Dental. She is currently attending Columbus State Community College for her Associate's Degree before transferring to Ohio State University to pursue a career as an Orthodontist. She enjoys spending time with her family and taking care of her two dogs.
Kathryn is a Certified Dental Assistant and Coronal Polisher here at Dublin Kids Dental. She earned her certification at Polaris Career Center in Northeat Ohio. She plans on attending Columbus State Community College to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. She is a car enthusiast and is part of the Honda's car club. She also enjoys spending time with her dog, Eric.
Hayle is a Dental Assistant here at Dublins Kids Dental. She attended Southwester Career Academy and plans to further her education as a Coronal Polisher and EFDA. She enjoys outdoor adventures, watching Disney movies and spending time with her family and friends.
Daisy is a Dental Assistant here at Dublins Kids Dental. She is a student at OSU pursuing a biology degree and plans on applying to dental school after she graduates. She loves playing badminton, the piano and hanging out with her family and friends.

My kiddo just had his first appointment at Dublin Kids Dental and it was a great experience! He has a a lot of dental work done and was very nervous about going. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The dental hygienist, Sarah was awesome and so patient and helped my son be comfortable, which is just what we were looking for. Dr. Sophie was amazing and kind as well. I am so happy we found a dentist that my son feels comfortable going too now!

My children love going to Dr. Sophie. She is always going the extra mile for them. She has a very warm and inviting personality. We will never go anywhere else! Definitely recommend Dublin Kids Dental.

Closest pediatric dentist to us and it was still an hour away. Now they are dropping us because they don't want to take our insurance anymore and we have to find a new pediatric dentist which will be even farther away. Hate dentists!

My daughter needed a tooth pulled. She didn't get adequate lidocaine. And screamed and liken lifted off the table in pain. Dr. Sophie said she was going to check to see if she needed more but then didn't give her more. She said because she has started to pull the tooth she couldn't stop to give her more lidocaine. But when she was "testing" before she started pulling my darter was crying in pain. I was told to give her Tylenol. She screamed in pain for hours. I will not be going back.

Dr. Sophie is the absolute best!!! The office is very clean and the staff makes you feel right at home! My son needed extraction of two of his adult teeth. He was very comfortable and we were out of the office in no time!!!! Thank you Dr. Sophie!

I don't know of many kids who likes to go to the dentist. My kids jump for joy when I tell them it's time to go see Dr. Sophie! Thank you for always taking such great care of my kids and their dental health.

Super friendly staff, clean waiting area. The dentist was wonderful, explained everything to us, and explained things to my 6 year old so he could understand. They made him feel so comfortable. Very courteous and professional, they really cared about my son.

It has been 4 months since my daughter first time at DKD. I still remember the first time we came, we didn't have the insurance, because we didn't understand how the dental insurance work and everything. The staff is absolutely amazing and extremely friendly, almost makes you forget you're even at the dentist. Dr. Sophie is also professional and caring, walked me through the treatment plan and explained everything in details. The front desk staff are amazing. I asked them about the insurance stuff, they explained so details for like 15min because I was kept asking over and over gain. I understand that explain how the insurance work is not their job but they did. Overall, even I come to the practice with or without the insurance, I still experience the same thing as my first time. I love this practice. Recommend!!

My five year old was referred to this office, an hour away from our home. It was easy and to schedule a timely appointment, the office is clean and welcoming, the hygienist was amazing with my son and Dr. Sophie was fabulous. She explained what needed done to my son in a way that he could understand by showing him his x-rays and drawing a picture that was easy for him and myself to understand. I would give 5 stars with our experience until I had to schedule his surgery with the office manager. She was short with me, interrupted me every time I asked a clarifying question, belittled me and wouldn't help when I was ensuring I understood the instructions for insurance. When I asked a question, she interrupted again and her answer was "you don't need a translator the information is listed on the paper I gave you." How HORRIBLE and condescending. While she deals with this daily, a surgery for my five year old was new ground for me and within my rights to ask a question so I understood prior to services rendered. I thought maybe she had a bad day or I was "emotional" while processing the information EXCEPT when I spent over an hour with my insurance on the phone and they recommended a pre determination be done, I told them that I didn't believe the office manager would assist or be willing to submit one. My insurance agent asked if she could assist with a conference call, which I accepted. When calling the office and speaking to the office manager, she interrupted the insurance agency repeatedly, spoke down to her and refused to fax the paper work so a pre determination could be accomplished. The agent had to ask 3 times prior to her finally agreeing. When the office manager hung up, my insurance agent apologized to me on her behalf! What a horrible way to treat patients. If my son wouldn't have fallen in love with Dr Sophie and be so comfortable with her for his surgery, I would find a new place. Even though the office manager deals with this daily, there are dozens of patients that have to be in my situation monthly... I hope every other family and insurance company is treated with more basic human kindness then I have now witnessed twice. 5 stars for Dr Sophie, the office and hygienist 1star for the office manager

Yesterday was my daughter first exam at DKD and I'm really pleased. The whole staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. They are honest and definitely put the customers first. Dr. Sophie is extremely professional and thorough when she explains her procedures. She is also very compassionate and child friendly, making my daughter feel comfortable. She was also really great about hearing my concerns and explaining to me the different options we could take for her cavities., even though I have broken english. Also, the staff at the front desk are amazing and considerate, I did not know anything about the insurance stuffs so I asked and they try to explain as simple as possible for me to understand. I'm so grateful for that. I'm hoping to bring my children here as long as she is available! Really recommend you guys to come here.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was our first time seeing a pediatric dentist, so we weren't sure what to expect, but any expectations were exceeded. Dr. Sophie and staff were all great I can't recommend this place enough!

The staff were very welcoming and kind, dr. Sophie took the time to explain what was going on & what needed to be done. Most importantly they helped my kids relax and have a good experience. I couldn't have asked for a better dental practice. Highly recommend!
