With top honors, Dr. Thomas Drummond graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, then furthered his education by attending the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Washington D.C. With his memberships in several associations such as the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Society, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association, he has been recognized every year since 1998 in the Consumer & Checkbook magazine. On his off time, he likes spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and reading.
Dr. Tanya Drummond is from Chicago and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1997. She is also a member of several associations such as, Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association, as she further continues to expand her knowledge on all fields of dentistry, Even voted the 'Best for Families' in her area in 2003. When she is out of the office, she spends her time outdoors, exercising, sewing, and with her family.

Dr. Tanya is phenomenal with kids! Mine actually ask when they can go back to see her. She is gentle but straightforward. Doesn't make them feel bad about having cavities, but tells them how to brush and floss better. She's also great with adults. Non-judgemental (my last appointment was 1.5 years prior). Positive attitude and professional. The entire staff is very helpful, friendly, and polite as well.

Dr. Drummond and his team was very thorough and spent hours to fix my issues. This was After visiting another dentist, who couldn't resolve what I needed. Excellent dental practice conveniently located near Dunn Loring Metro in Merrifield, VA. Free designated parking in a garage, a 3 minute walk away. Caring personnel, great dentist whose wife is also a dentist in the practice. They always call back even if you don't leave a message! Highly recommended.

My wife and I have been going to Drummond Dental Care Family Dentistry for 17 years now. Dr. Tom and Tanja Drummond have always been consummate professionals, as is their staff. Their greatest qualities are honestly and integrity and an ethical approach to their work coupled with a friendly demeanor which leaves you with a warm and family like feeling during and after your visit. Dr. Tom's father was also a great dentist and I suspect that these old-fashioned but timeless values have been passed on from father to son. They explain why a procedure is necessary, if that is the case, or recommend procedures, but leave it up to you to decide. These days with get-rich-quick dentists, who recommended unnecessary procedures those are rare qualities to find. They treat patients with care and we always know that we are in safe, steady and knowledgeable hands when we sit in their chairs. This is a hidden gem and best-kept secret in town that I have now reluctantly decided to share, since I selfishly guarded it all these years. My reasoning is that they may get too booked to see me and I might have to wait six months for an appointment if I tell things as they are. Warning: If you try them you will be hooked for life. I am normally a critical detail-oriented person, but I can't find a single thing wrong with this place.
