Dr. Andrew Witrock and Dr. Diane Axelrod have been in practice in Port Jefferson Station since 1988. Their associate, Dr. Walter Homayoon has been part of their dental team since 2001. Both Dr. Witrock and Dr. Homayoon are specialists in Prosthodontics. Dr. Axelrod is a General Dentist. All three doctors take pride in their commitment to their patients.
Dr. Andrew Witrockgrew up on Long Island. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SUNY Albany, he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation in 1986, he was accepted to the Post Doctoral Prosthodontic Program at SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Witrock completed that program in 1988 and then returned to Long Island to open his dental practice.
Dr. Diane Axelrodis this practices primary general dentist.Born and raised in New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University in 1984 and graduated from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1988. After completing her dental residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, Dr. Axelrod moved to Long Island to practice general and family dentistry.
Dr. Axelrod joined her husband, Dr. Andrew Witrock, in practice in 1993. She was on the faculty at SUNY Farmingdale Dental Hygiene Program for many years. As well, she was the first female dentist to work at Madonna Heights Residential Treatment Center, helping adolescent girls facing a variety of medical and emotional challenges receive dental care and education.
Throughout the years, Dr. Axelrod has enjoyed being an active member within the community. She is well respected for her efforts to share both dental education and career awareness to children and young adults by speaking at school health fairs, career days, and hosting preschool and scouting events at her office.
Dr. Axelrod's gentle and positive approach has allowed even the most apprehensive and sensitive patients to strengthen their own confidence and comfort level to achieve and maintain a lifetime of dental health.
Dr. Walter Homayoonreceived his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology formStony Brook Universityand graduated with his Doctoral of Dental Surgery from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1993.He then attended a one year Post-Graduate residency at Booth Memorial Hospital in Queens, NY.
After practicing general dentistry for several years, Dr. Homayoon made the decision to further his dental education and completed a three year Prosthodontic residency at theState University of New Yorkat Buffalo in 1999.

I had the pleasure of visiting this office yesterday for a check up and a filling. I just can't say enough nice things. I don't know about you, but for me it has not been easy to find a good dentist. From the initial phone conversations to the moment I walked in the door, the staff right up to the doctor were the nicest people and made me feel very comfortable. I really felt very confident with Dr. Witrock's examination of my teeth. I knew I was in good hands. I highly recommend you give this dentist office a try.

Dr. Witrock is honest and does not try to make you pay more money than you should. He is a relatable person and truly genuine. His character of staying late to fix my front tooth shows how much he cares for his patients. I recommend him over any others!

Ok so I took my kids to this dentist, wow Mrs Diane j, Axelrod, D.D.S at General Dentistry. I could never ask for a better experience for my kids, they both had their vaccine 3 in all the same day, and I thought they would be nervous on their dentist visit, but I was in awe at how the dentist interacted with them and she was very attentive to them also,they were very comfortable with her, am looking forward to take them on their next visit. Yes she was that good, a wonderful and great person. I would surely recommend Mrs Diane j, Axelrod at General Dentistry any day. Thank you Mrs Diane j, Axelrod.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Whitrock and Axelrod for years. We aren't just patients to them, we're friends. They are exceptional and stand out in their field. They will take care of you like they would their own family. Integrity and reliability!

From the moment I set foot in Dr. Witrock's office as a walk-in, I felt welcomed. I was greeted very friendly by Dr. Witrock and Nisreen his office staff. I brought my son who's 15 years old to Dr. Witrock as he came highly recommended for a Marilyn Bridge. I tried other offices, but unfortunately, other dentists were unable to help us. Upon Dr. Witrock's evaluation, he too agreed with the other dentists. However, Dr. Witrock did not want to give up. He immediately saw how disappointed my son and I were and Dr. Witrock looked for ways to help us. He went well above and to make us happy. He was also very clear of the plus and minus, and gave us the hope we needed to move forward with his suggestion to use bonding. This was done over a month ago and the work Dr. Witrock did is holding up strong and looks great! Needless to say that my son and I are very happy with the work Dr. Witrock did and how he and Dana (his dental assistant) treated us throughout the entire process. I highly recommend you visiting Dr. Witrock because he won't give up on you! Thank you so much Dr. Witrock and your amazing staff!!!

I recently went to Dr. Witrock to get a crown for my implant. I was very impressed by his attention to detail, it was obvious he wanted the crown to look and fit perfectly, and it did! His office staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you have concerns with COVID, this office takes all the precautions seriously and even has a ventilated exam room for higher risk procedures. I will definitely be going back to Dr. Witrock's the next time I need dental work! Highly recommended!

I have never been more satisfied!!! My daughter needs a lot of work done and Dr. Axelrod makes her apart of everything and speaks to her one on one to make her comfortable. Before she would cry thinking about going to the dentist. As a parent she also speaks to me separately about our next visit. They truly care about patients and the sincerity shows through. The other staff is also extremely sweet and helpful. I would never want my children going anywhere else now that we experienced this amazing office.

Witrock and Axelrod are both excellent dentists and their staff is professional and friendly! I recently had an upsetting dental emergency and Dr. Witrock was skillful and compassionate in helping to quickly resolve my dental issue. To do so he stayed open after hours to accommodate my needs. I am grateful to have such a great dental team!!

We have trusted our family's dental health to Drs. Witrock and Axelrod for more than two decades and we couldn't be more pleased. They are OUTSTANDING dentists. We have had some tricky dental problems and I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. Not only are they great dentists, they're terrific people. I actually have fun while I'm sitting in the dentist's chair. Needless to say, they have my highest recommendation.
