Dr. Weidman has passed the West Virginia state specialty exam for orthodontics and has been in practice since 1986. He received his undergraduate degree from Wheeling Jesuit University, a fellowship in medical chemistry, before graduating with honors from West Virginia Universitys dental school. He then completed his masters in orthodontics. He occasionally lectures to the West Virginia University Graduate Orthodontics Program and is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, West Virginia Dental Association, West Virginia Association of Orthodontists and the Monongahela Valley Dental Association.
Dr. Weidman is an active supporter of the St. Francis School, University High School and St. Lukes Church. He has coached local basketball and baseball since 1990 and, in his spare time, enjoys camping and fishing. In addition, Dr. Weidman is one of 13 children!
After graduating from Bridgeport High School in 1996, Dr. Michael Hazey received his dental education and orthodontic training from West Virginia University. Dr. Hazey holds a West Virginia State Specialty License for Orthodontics and is a member of various professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and the West Virginia Dental Association. Dr. Hazey is also a part-time instructor training future orthodontists at the West Virginia University Department of Orthodontics.
Drs. Weidman and Hazey III and their team want every aspect of your visits to our office to be as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Our caring, courteous and competent team is dedicated to providing outstanding orthodontic care. Our clinical team is comprised of orthodontic assistants who are certified by the state of West Virginia. To stay abreast of the latest in the field, we regularly attend continuing education seminars on topics such as OSHA standards, current, state-of-the-art technology and orthodontic assisting.
We offer computerized check-in services for a more efficient and convenient office visit. Drs. Weidman and Hazey III enhance communication with our patients by offering treatment conferences and providing brochures regarding care at the onset of treatment. Our reception area offers a comfortable setting with current periodicals, coffee, juice and videos for you to enjoy. Whoever is answering the phone under the name Catharine is very condescending and rude. Without giving too many details, I have been under the care of Dr. Hazey post op double jaw surgery. She downplayed the severity of what ended up being an infection growing under implanted plate and screws that now have to be removed urgently. She is not an advocate for patient care. And she certainly does not believe anyone outside of her office is intelligent enough to know what's happening within their own body. I will not be returning for any follow up care in their office.

My fiance has previously seen Dr. Hazey with all good experiences, but whoever answers the phones, a receptionist, or maybe a hygienist...Catharine, is extremely unhelpful. She had plates put in her jaw a year and a half ago and her mouth started swelling and she thought one might be infected and called the office. It was downplayed as not an emergency and that she couldn't see Dr. Hazey until November 10th. We went to WVU Dental where the surgery was done and after c rays, it was indeed infected and needed emergency surgery performed. To have this surgery performed in the OR in Morgantown she needed a referral for insurance to approve it. She again called the office and again spoke to Catharine Roberts. It was downplayed again that her plate was infected and she would not let her speak to anyone else. All she needed was a referral. For an emergency surgery.

Dr Hazy is awesome with my son and his travels through the braces world, the other staff is A1 and just a wonderful group, my son loves them all and they have helped him with everything. Would recommend every time

Receptionist (Lori) was very very rude. I asked if she had time to answer just a couple of questions and she hesitated and told me she really didn't have time and asked me what it was for. I told her what it was for and she still told me she really didn't have enough time but was in a rush to get off the phone with me because she didn't want to answer my questions. She also kept interrupting me while i was talking to her. I told her if she was too busy she could have handed the phone to someone else so I could talk to them. (I am in a dental assistant program and asked her two questions that I was assigned to ask). She was just very rude to me on the phone. I could've been a costumer asking questions trying to make an appointment would definitely not want to work there or go there period for myself.

I found the receptionist to be very rude as she insulted my mothers looks and her age. She said that she had seen women that looked better than her at her age. My mother is a very sensitive woman and I will not stand for this.To the receptionist I say that my mother carried five children, and she is stronger than you will ever be, so don't you dare insult her.
