Dr. Trava, was born and raised locally, graduating from Lycoming College in 1984, and graduated dental school from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, (UMDNJ), in 1988. He was accepted and finished his two year post-graduate work in Endodontics from UMDNJ, 1990. Dr. Trava started his practice in Hawthorne in1990, Ho-Ho-Kus 1993, Oradell in 2009 and Wyckoff in 2010. He was an assistant clinical professor at UMDNJ teaching Post Graduate Endodontics from 1993- 2000. In his spare time, he volunteered at Evas Village doing dental work and with the National Basketball Association. Dr. Trava was honored by the Paterson/Passaic Boys and Girls Club in 2010. Dr. Trava lectures nationally on diagnosing patients with 3-D imaging and laser technology. Dr. Trava is also a published author.

I had a root canal performed by Dr Yang. All I can say is wow, great experience and such a thoughtful person. He explained every step of the procedure and was very thorough. I did expect some pain that night or in the morning. Absolutely perfect with little to no pain. You will not be disappointed by Dr Yang.

I could not be happier and more thankful to Dr. Shon for saving a tooth that has been constant trouble for years. After seeing a different endodontist and being made to feel that the likeliness of a successful root canal was very low and that an extraction would be the easiest option, my primary dentist (Dr. Kim right upstairs from Dr. Shon) recommended I take a second opinion from Dr. Shon. Seeing Dr. Shon's confidence that he could operate on my tooth successfully, put me at ease and it worked out perfectly. Zero pain during the procedure, expected soreness afterward (minor), and no complications since. I am so happy to put this trouble tooth out of my mind and I have Dr. Shon (and Dr. Kim) to thank for it.
