After dental school, Dr. Thompson completed an American Dental Association-approved general practice residency at the University of Louisville Hospital. Dr. Thompson has been practicing dentistry for over 18 years, with 3 of those years here in Scottsburg.
The relationships he builds with patients of all types of backgrounds is one of Dr. Thompson's favorite things about his job. He likes to perform different procedures, and he appreciates the variety that dentistry brings to his day as no two days are alike.
Dr. Dunn has a BA in biological sciences and a DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery), both from Indiana University. After dental school, he completed an American Dental Association-approved general practice residency at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Dr. Dunn started this practice in Scottsburg in 1979 while also a faculty member at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He's spent years building relationships with patients in Scottsburg and has also established a reputation for high quality dentistry provided with integrity, which Dr. Thompson is upholding today.
Now that he's only at the office on a part-time basis, Dr. Dunn enjoys volunteering at the Falls of the Ohio and Charlestown State Parks. He also enjoys time with family and outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking.
After serving the people of Scottsburg for so many years, Dora feels that our patients our more like family. She loves the team that she works with, and she has a passion for promoting good oral health and educating patients on how to practice excellent home care.
Allison received two degrees from the University of Southern Indiana, her Associates of Science in Dental Assisting and a Bachelor of Health Services. She has also been in the dental field for over 23 years. Nine of those years have been with our practice.
Allison says, 'I get the opportunity to meet patients from many different backgrounds, and it 's nice to be able to offer comfort and assurance to nervous patients. I love my co-workers, and I appreciate that I 'm never bored at work because every day is different.'
