At our Lafayette, LA dental office, we take pride in our experienced team. In addition to practicing comprehensive, state-of-the-art dental care, Dr. Jerome Smith and Dr. Daniel Domingue have received multiple prestigious awards for their high level of skill. Other dentists across the region come to our office to receive training in a variety of advanced procedures.
Drs. Smith and Domingue believe in ongoing education and staying current with the latest developments and advances in dentistry to provide the very best care to our patients. Our hygienists, assistants, and other staff are committed to ongoing training and education to advance and develop skills. We love dentistry, and it shows.
Dr. Smith was born and raised in Lafayette and attended Our Lady of Fatima from first grade through graduation in 1973. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree and graduated cum laude from the University of Louisiana, Dr. Smith graduated from LSU's School of Dentistry in 1980 and was a member of the C. Edmund Kells Society as a top graduate. He has spent more than 40 years practicing General Dentistry in Acadiana with an emphasis on implant dentistry and comprehensive adult reconstructive care for the past 36 years.
Dr. Smith also serves Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor LSU School of Dentistry. He is co-founder of the Mexico Medical/Dental Project 26 years ago in conjunction with Latin World Ministries in Guererro, Mexico.
Dr. Smith has been published in Dental Implant Digest, The Farran Report, Dentaltown, The Implant Society, LDA Journal, ADDA Quarterly News, The Consumer 's Guide to Dentistry, and PPAD. He has given lectures and presentations on a variety of subjects including Practical and Clinical Management of Implant Dentistry in General Dental Practice, and initiated 'Implants in Black and White', a live surgery and lecture course that he gives with Dr. Domingue for dentists throughout the U.S. he co-founded in 2003. All of the proceeds from this course are contributed to the Mexico Medical/Dental Project.

Dr. Domingue and staff made my dental implant experience painless, short and sweet. Courtney helped me beyond expectations, and Jennifer saw to it that I was always comfortable. Everyone there is so nice.

Dr Dominique and his staff are exceptionally nice and I wish I could continue to see them. Unfortunately the lady making my follow up appointment told me that I would need to find a sitter for my daughter which is not an option for us. We travel for my husbands work and I do not know anyone who could watch her without my husband having to take off. When making my first appointment here the lady I spoke with on the phone assured me it would be no problem for my daughter to come. Mind you for over 2 years I have taken my daughter with me to every and all appointments I've ever needed( including dentist appointments for fillings) and she will sit quietly in the corner and watch her tablet. As she did with this dentist office the first time I went. I have never had any issues, my daughter is very well behaved as she is used to going to appointments with me.The only reason she would be a distraction, is if the employees approached her, which I can not control. I found another dentist that is going to see me and take care of the tooth that is in pain. Very disappointed I can't see Dr Dominique he really did seem like a great dentist.

I had all fours put in sideways, so I wouldn't have to get a sinus lift. Dr dominque did a great job & it saved me a lot of money. The staff is all very nice & friendly.

I've been dealing with them for years now, and I'm rating 5 stars to Miss Caitlin who works here. She's absolutely amazing; by far the best employee in my opinion. She's hardworking, very knowledgeable, and thorough. She's always in a great mood, and definitely cares about all her patients. Out of the 5 or so years I've been dealing with Dr. Domingue, she's definitely the best employee I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Love this dentist. I moved here from Austin and thank goodness I found Smith and Domingue. Nothing but great things to say about the staff as well as the dentists. I HIGHLY recommend you give them a call to schedule an appointment for your dental needs.

I would 10/10 recommend seeing Dr. Domingue for any dental concerns. My treatment plan included bone grafts, crown lengthening, two implants, and crowns. I am thrilled with the results. Dr. Domingue and his team were always super friendly! It seems like they truly care about patients' well being and health. When something wasn't exactly right, Dr. Domingue was sure to talk through it and redo it until it was perfect. I appreciated this more than I can express in a simple review.

I would highly recommend Dr. Smith and Dr. Domangue. I have had implants and crowns from them. My dad was my dentist and eventually retired. So I had to choose another dentist which wasn't easy. These guys are good and very efficient. When you get in the back they don't waist time. All of the hygienist and staff are super nice.

Dr. Danny and his staff are nothing short of amazing. From my first consultation, to getting sorted for Invisalign with Caitlyn, to having all four of my wisdom teeth pulled in one day with almost no pain and zero swelling I can't be more thankful I chose them for my dental care. The waiting room is very cozy and you don't have to sit very long. They are very prompt in appointments times. The receptionists are always polite and knowledgeable as well. Highly recommend!

Dr. Domingue is awesome. He and his staff honestly care about their patients. They are professional, and make you feel like you're safe in their care. They have explained every aspect of my treatment plan. Dr. Domingue is the most gentle and caring dentist I have ever seen.
