Rekos & Border Oral Surgery - Oral surgeon in Dublin, OH

As the practice grew in size, the decision was made to open a second location. In 2000, a new, state-of-the-art surgical suite was constructed on Bradenton Avenue near the Tuttle Mall. Eventually, the Dublin location became the sole office for the practice and through the years we have continued to make the office technologically advanced in order to serve our patients better.

In 2010, Dr. Greg Rekos joined the practice as an associate and three years later he became a partner in the practice. Together, our doctors have developed an outstanding surgical practice, equipped with a compassionate and caring team of professionals, advanced technological tools, and a friendly, safe environment for our patients.

Oral surgery is never a picnic, but Dr. Border's approach and bedside manner make the process less stressful. The office staff are friendly, professional, and compassionate and the office is serene and comfy. Dr. Border is abundantly patient with explanations and questions, ensuring complete comfort about and understanding by of procedures. I don't wish to have oral surgery again, but should I need to, I will go to Dr. Border.

Dr. Border did an excellent job removing all four of my fully erupted wisdom teeth in preparation for adult braces. He was very respectful with my time and got things done quickly. Dr. Border called me to follow up and make sure everything was going well, that was a very nice personal touch. Highly recommended.

Excellent! Very high standards! Dr Border was able to provide a detailed explanation of the surgery in a concise, organized manner. His follow up was considerate and thorough. The staff from our evaluation through recovery was professional and knowledgeable. I believe our RR nurse was Dasha, she was excellent. We thank you, The Kelleys

We had a little bit of a bad experience with the people handling appointments and billing here, reportedly due to staff turnover. However, Dr. Border personally owned the mistake and handled a bad situation in the best and most professional way possible. Clinically, I can only say that he was great in the initial consultation and that he is exceedingly well educated and trained, as we switched to an in-network provider after the initial meeting.

Excellent! Whole-heartedly recommend. The entire office, from the admin staff to the dental techs/assistants to Dr. Rekos, was top-notch. Personable, polite, respectful, knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, Dr. Rekos was outstanding. I'm old enough to remember when this was the kind of service one encountered routinely, and it was truly refreshing to find a practice like this. I had two implants done at the same time and was somewhat nervous. Dr. Rekos and his team quickly assuaged my nerves. In fact, they even had me laughing during the procedure! I highly recommend!

Dr. Border was absolutely phenomenal. From the consultation to the procedure the very next day, he was very attentive and handled everything flawlessly. I have a huge dental-phobia, but the whole process couldn't have went any smoother or easier. The entire staff was great. I even had a follow up call from Dr. Border later that day (I was asleep from the meds so I missed his call), and he left a nice follow up message to check in on me. Thanks so much to Dr. Border and the whole staff. It was a great experience and I'd refer them to anyone I know.

The billing department can't call the insurance company to see what is covered, instead they write a letter & wait 60-90 days. So they want you to commit without knowing what it will actually cost. So I called the insurance company & they told me what was covered that day so it wasn't as difficult as they say. After they expect you to commit without knowing what out of pocket costs are, if you question about the insurance coverage, the staff automatically cancels your appointment without telling you. As professionals, they could have handled this better in so many ways. They could have called the insurance company themselves to find out exactly what it would cost and mostly they should have told me they cancelled the appointment. But they don't care. They don't care that two working parents are trying to coordinate their schedule to take off work for this surgery or anything about the kid's schedule. Extremely disappointed. If the staff shows this mush incompetency how will everything else be handled?

Had my wisdom teeth removed on 10/22 by Doctor Border. I have some dental anxiety, and even in the preliminary appointment, Border was very courteous, answered all of my questions, heard out all of my concerns, etc. What makes this a 5-star experience was that, after I had them extracted and was sent home (on a Friday), Doctor Border gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to text him if I had questions or concerns. I texted him 2 or 3 times throughout the weekend, on his days off, with quick questions about whether or not I could eat certain things, timelines and expectations, etc., and every time I texted, he responded super promptly with very helpful information. I really didn't want to get my Wisdom Teeth removed, but this was an excellent experience. I'm not saying I'd do it again, but Doctor Border definitely made the process both literally and metaphorically painless. Also, no dry sockets.

We had a challenging experience with this office from initial appointment to end. I went in to have a wisdom tooth extraction consultation. The entire time the doctor seemed as though he was too busy to be there... and that was the best part of the experience. They planned to submit a pre-estimate to my insurance to get a patient cost estimate for me. Somehow it never made it to my insurance. I called the a month after my initial appointment to let them know the insurance had not received it and they acted annoyed that I had checked in with the insurance and claimed they had told me to "be patient". So I wait a few more weeks and we are now two weeks before the surgery and I called the insurance again to see if they had received the request. Still had not. Called back to the office and now they finally want to do something about getting the estimate but it's too late, it's a full 14 day turnaround to get one (they knew this as they told me at the initial appointment). The worst part of it all!was when I called to find out why my insurance had not received the request they promised to send... they tell me they had not bothered to book the anesthesiologist they would need for my procedure. They knew they would need to book one from my initial appointment on October 4th and did not do so in time to get one booked for my prosedure on December 11th (three months). So because they failed to get this done they would need to move my surgery that had been on the schedule and had not changed for three months. My husband who is a doctor took off in the middle of covid on this day to attend and my mom was driving in from out of state. We ended up going to a different practice and they had my whole appointment booked in one day on my original surgery date with the anesthesiologist. I recommend going somewhere else if you don't what to feel like a burden.

My wife had services done back in November and because we were out of network we had to pay in full. Our insurance payed on the claim within 1 week and we still have not received the refund for what we paid. I called multiple times and got the same thing. "Will pass the information on to the billing person." Asked to be called by the billing person and no one called us back. Finally received email saying they got check from insurance and would send out check. Still 2 weeks later have not received the check. When asked when we will receive check they said they don't know. Would not recommend going here if you are out of network. With COVID-19 money is tight and we plan use it for Christmas but until now. We received nothing.

My son had his wisdom teeth removed on 1/7/2021. As far as the procedure went, all was well , but much as with the 2/24/21 review submitted by Stephanie on Yelp, we are having issues with the financial end of this office. In my hindsight, they ran the estimate for treatment with a 2020 date so it came back that our benefits for the 2020 year were depleted so our out of pocket was higher. The surgery was not scheduled until 2021 though, so they ended up collected about 3x more than they needed to. The insurance company paid them on 1/18/21 and I have been trying to get a final bill out of them. I have reached out to them three times now. Rebecca states that she is "far behind" because she keeps getting pulled to the front. She has not processed payments that are now over a month old and can give me no idea when she can do so. Conveniently for them delay is in their favor as they are holding several hundred dollars of our money hostage. I have a feeling if we owed them money, they would be in a bigger hurry to send the bill. It is unfortunate that in a time that so many households are struggling due to Covid, that this office can't put some effort into getting their act together. Beware.

My son Jon had his wisdom teeth removed today. We both agree everyone was great. I like that Dr Rekos didn't push getting the "high test" pain meds. The after care pack and thorough instructions were much appreciated.
