Dr. Rachel Malterud is thrilled to have joined her father at the Minnesota Center for Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Dr. Rachel has been working in different capacities with the practice since 2010. She shares the same philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry our patients have come to know and love.

Our office has been mercury-free for 30 years. We have perfected the procedure for placing stunningly white composite fillings, and customizing them to blend with your existing smile. Due to our experience and conservative approach, our white fillings generally last well beyond the average dental restoration lifespan.

I delayed going for my cleaning & when it did get scheduled I was still a bit anxious. But from my arrival at the door greeted by Betty's smile & thermometer,until I walked out, the experience was so positive. Infection control protocols were of highest standards and I felt safe during the whole visit. It was good to see Mark & now Rachel! Of course there is no hygienist better than Liz. In addition to her experience & exceptional skills , she is authentic in her concern for her clients' dental health as well as on a personal level. Would not go to another dental group !

Dr Mark and his team are excellent working for and with you. Betty(Reception) is so outstanding, words can not express my gratitude. Dr Mark is extremely knowledge, kind hearted, fun & VERY professional as well, as his staff. They have COVID19 measures in place. Dont forget to wear masks in and out during this time. Super friendly folks who are holistically-minded. Although it was just a consult and I've yet to have any work done, it's obvious they truly care about their patients as they spent nearly an hour just answering my questions and reviewing my X-rays.

Warm, friendly & thorough. Dr. Mark set me at ease as to what needs done for optimal dental health. While definitely a Natural bent dentist, he did not pressure, bully or shame me to immediately get rid of all amalgam. He instead encouraged me to take care of "problem areas" first, with the option of doing more later. Staff was also welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!!

My old bridge for my three front teeth snapped off last night leaving a huge gap in my smile. I was to get in to see Dr. Mark this morning, an he was able to reattach it. I was in and out of his office in less than one hour. While working on the repairs, he explained the process, and sent me home with my smile intact! Thanks, Dr. Mark!

Dr. Mark did an excellent job explaining to my 7-year-old what to expect before and during her entire procedure. He did a great job building her trust, and is so skilled (and gentle) that he was even able to do one filling without any Novacaine. No nitrous gas either. My daughter left with a smile, and is not afraid to return. Thank you, Dr. Mark!

My mouth has been under my e were r re the fantastic care of Dr. Mark since his first start as a dentist, and his ry first office in 1983, (has it been) that long? His wife taking care of the office, and now his daughter Dr Rachel. Then, thyere is the fantastic super hygienist Liz, whom is like a sister. The rest of the staff is first rate. And recently they performed the ultimate restoration on 4 teeth, incredible job, I don't even recognize my smile!! Many thanks Dr Mark and Linda...

Friendly, professional and thorough. Never any "shaming" when I came in after years of no dental visits or because of any bad habits. Their entire staff and caregivers are personal and dedicated to the health of my teeth and my overall health. I have a TBI and they are very thoughtful about sound and light when I ask for accommodations.

I needed a root canal, Dr. Mark was reccomended by my husband. Today I went in for a consultation with Dr. Mark he explained everything to me. I totally feel confident that he'll make the right decision for my two teeth when he starts the process to see what's all going on in there. All the staff are super nice!
