Dr. Leal is a Tar Heel born and bred as a double graduate from UNC Chapel Hill: in 1982 with degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics and in 1986 with a DDS from the UNC School of Dentistry. Following dental school he completed a General Practice Residency at the Eastern Virginia Medical School and continues his pursuit of life-long learning through various dental study clubs.
Jeff has shown leadership in the dental field through fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and membership on the Forsyth Technical Community Colleges Dental Advisory Board. He also is a member of the NC Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and served as president of the Forsyth County Dental Society. As a Winston-Salem native and alum of Reynolds High School, Dr. Leal loves giving back to the community and volunteering his services with ministries such as the Community Care Center dental clinic, the NC Baptist Medical/Dental Bus, Meet the Dentist, and Give Kids a Smile. Jeffs greatest joys are his wife and three children and he likes to spend his free time cooking, swimming, running, or bicycling.

I have been a patient of this practice for several years and cannot say enough great things! Though I typically see Dr. Spangler, all three doctors are extremely knowledgable, thorough and attentive to detail. The staff as a whole combines professionalism with genuine concern for the patient to provide individualized care. Scheduling or being seen in a timely manner has never been an issue as the administrative staff members are kind, caring and extremely helpful! Dr. Spangler grew up in the Queen City of Charlotte, and then headed to UNC Chapel Hill for his undergraduate and dental degrees. After graduating with his DDS in 1993, he completed a 2 year residency in Oral Medicine with a third year of fellowship at Duke and UNC Hospitals. During dental school, Dr. Spangler found a study buddy that is now his wife, Gina Spangler, who is a pediatric dentist in town. Vic and Gina moved to Winston-Salem in 1996 and they love raising their 3 kids here.
Vic has a heart for service and has volunteered with the Community Care Center dental clinic, the Baptist Dental Bus, Give Kids a Smile, the Mexico Project dental mission trip, Boy Scouts, and as a mentor to dental students. He is a fellow in the Academy of General Dentists, past president of the Forsyth County Dental Society, and also is a member of the American Dental Association, NC Dental Society, and Seattle Study Club. Dr. Spangler enjoys spending time with his family, rocking out on his guitar, and trying to play golf.
Dr. Johnson grew up in Kentucky and completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. After dental school, he finished the two year general practice residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in the Department of Dentistry where he remains as a volunteer instructor
Ben enjoys practicing all aspects of comprehensive general dentistry with a special interest in implant prosthetics, complex treatment planning and sleep/airway issues that affect the dentition. He has a strong belief in the combination of scientific evidence and excellence in clinical technique in order to achieve the best outcome for each individual patient. He is dedicated to lifelong learning and continuing education and is a member of the Spear study/faculty clubs, the Seattle study club, the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Forsyth County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He volunteers clinical time with North Carolina Missions of Mercy, Christinas Smile childrens clinic and the NC Baptist medical/dental bus.

Outstanding. Great expertise of treatment such as root canals. Reliable, competent, able to find out the underlying cause of a dental problem. Able to perform accurate dental treatments without complications. They take the time and effort to delivering a gratifying experience. Very polite and patient.

I have typically seen Dr Leal when going to this practice. I recently had an emergency and they quickly got me a same day appointment with Dr Young. Him and his assistant took awesome care of me. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this office. They genuinely care about the people that walk through their door. Reception was great about scheduling and I even made an appointment for my husband! Thank you all and especially Dr Young!

Dentist appointments are not what I'd call an "enjoyable experience," but a necessity. I appreciate Dr. Leal making each visit as good as it can be, with the time he takes talking, explaining, and caring. I also appreciate that he is able to get us in as soon as possible for a dental emergency.

My family has been patients of this dentist office for over 15 years. Dr. Leal has been seeing my oldest since he was 5 and Dr. Johnson has been seeing my youngest since she was 3ish. Great doctors, both very trustworthy and personalble. The staff is kind and the office is nice and always clean. No complaints here!

I have been going to this practice for decades. It was started by Dr. Snyder and I have been a patient there since I was five years old so that should tell you something about how I feel about them. My main dentist is Dr. Spangler but all three dentists are fantastic. My husband is Team Johnson. Everyone is very pleasant and knowledgeable. Top notch work and a caring staff.

I can't say enough good things about this office. I've been to Dr. Young a few times now and I highly recommend him and this office for everyone. The entire staff is so patient and kind. Courtney at the front desk is so sweet and Janice was amazing! They have all been very accommodating and this is by far the least judgmental dentists office I've ever been to.
