Dr. Kroll is a native Californian, born and raised in Northridge. While in his teens, he realized dentistry was the perfect career that would blend his social nature with his love for science and his natural dexterity.

Dr. Kroll graduated in 1982 from Loyola Marymount University (LMU) where he played water polo and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Kroll began practicing dentistry in Ventura after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC) in 1986.

Dr. Kroll has served as an adjunct professor at UCLA School of Dentistry for over a decade. His focus is on bite engineering and implant biomechanics, teaching graduate dentists at the Center for Aesthetic Dentistry as a part of their two-year residency program. Dr. Kroll also teaches these topics to practicing dentists at The California Implant Institute in San Diego.

Dr. Kroll resides in Ventura, CA with his wife Cathy, a Ventura travel agent. Together they have three children his eldest, Dr. Stephanie Kroll, works alongside him as a dentist, and his youngest daughter and son are pursing careers in Veterinary Medicine and Business. In his spare time, Dr. Kroll enjoys surfing, swimming, maintaining his black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and listening to Jazz and Classical music.

Dr. Steph was born and raised in Ventura, California. She discovered her love for dentistry early on while spending time at the office with her dad, Dr. Philip Kroll, where she watched dentistry positively transform patients lives. She loves how dentistry is the perfect blend of patient care, health science, and art.

Dr. Steph attended Buena High School, where she played volleyball for the Bulldogs and graduated in the top of her class in 2008. She earned a Bachelors degree in Physiological Science from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2012, and continued her dental education in San Francisco at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (UOP). While at UOP, Dr. Steph regularly volunteered both in San Francisco and abroad to provide dental care and oral health education to underserved communities. In 2015, Dr. Steph graduated with honors from UOP and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

Continual learning is of paramount importance to Dr. Steph, allowing her to provide leading edge dental care to her patients. Dr. Steph is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an honor attained by only 6% of dentists worldwide. Dr. Steph is dedicated to continual learning, and she is actively pursuing her Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD).

Currently, Dr. Steph is a clinical educator at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where she and Dr. Philip Kroll teach graduate dentists at the Center for Esthetic Dentistry as a part of a two-year residency program. Dr. Steph also serves as an Area Director for the Santa Barbara-Ventura Dental Society, where she facilitates collaboration and networking between her local colleagues.

Dr. Steph lives in Ventura and is happily married to her high school sweetheart. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with friends and family, traveling the world, practicing yoga, SCUBA diving, and hiking with her adopted greyhound, Nala.
