Dr. Jan T. Bagwell graduated with her doctorate from LSU School of Dentistry, and she has been dedicated to providing the best oral care for patients since 1984. She is board certified by the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry.
She is a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, American Dental Association, Northwest Louisiana Dental Association and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, as she is passionate about keeping up with the newest advancements in the field for the benefit of patients.
Dr. Bagwell also serves her community by supporting the United Way, American Cancer Society, FCA, Life Choices, and both Sterlington and Neville high school athletics. In her free time, she likes to horseback ride, an activity she has participated in for her whole life. She is also a board member of Cross Keys Bank and the Sterlington Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the Hats on Gang.
Dr. Jessica J. Johnston is a graduate of LSU School of Dentistry. After graduation, she completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the V.A. Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in Monroe and attended Neville High School. She is happy to be back home practicing dentistry with her mother, Dr. Jan Bagwell. Dr. Johnston is an active member at Christ Church in West Monroe and participates in mission trips throughout the year. She is involved in Bible Study Fellowship, Young Life, and Neville Alumni and Friends Association.
Kim attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She also gained a certification in Anesthesia. She joined the team at Jan T. Bagwell, DDS in 2007 as a registered dental hygienist. Today, she lives in Farmerville with her husband, Will, and her two children, Kate and Emme.
Miranda attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. She began working as a registered dental hygienist at Jan T. Bagwell, DDS in 1998. She now lives in Monroe with her husband, Danny and their children, Mary Kathryn and Daniel.
Ashley has been a dental assistant for over 15 years and has been on Dr. Bagwells team for seven years. Ashley lives in Bastrop, LA with her husband, Allen and two children, Keira and Kameron. Ashley enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with family.
Sharon has been with Dr. Bagwell since 2017. She lives in Sterlington, La with her husband, Mark, of 26 years and their three children, Victoria, Katherine and Nicholas. Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and grandson Porter.
Alicia attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated with a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene in 1999. She joined our team in 2018. Alicia lives in Monroe. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her friends and family, including her twin daughters, Madison and Madeline.
Jennifer has been a member of Dr. Bagwells team since 2017. She loves making our patients feel comfortable and leave with a smile on their faces. Jennifer lives in Sterlington, where she and her daughter, Abby, enjoy cheering on their favorite Sterlington Panthers, Alex and Parker.

I saw both Dr Johnston and Dr Bagwell. Honestly, that was the best dental experience I've had. Everything was clearly explained and I didn't feel pressured into treatments or procedures. Both they and their staff were caring and attentive. I'm a little apprehensive about dental work, but they took the sting out. I would highly recommend them.

I can be an anxious dental patient at times. Dr. Bagwell has a calming, compassionate manner that puts me at ease. She goes out of her way to work around any challenge, such as drainage that triggers a tickly cough. She also figured out the inaccurate records, etc, that were transferred to their practice. I like Dr. Johnston, too...just haven't received her care all that much yet.

I have always been a little apprehensive when going to the dentist. Dr. Bagwell was recommended to me by a close family friend and I knew I needed a few fillings done. I came in and immediately all of my butterflies vanished. I have yet to have a bad experience and plan to keep coming back. Family friendly is the atmosphere! I'm always greeted with a smile by every hygienist and assistant that I pass! 10/10 recommend

This has been easily the best experience I have ever had with a dentist's office. The staff are courteous and efficient. They provide helpful reminders for appointments and make follow up calls after larger procedures. I have felt known by the staff and they have inquired about specific aspects of my life and family every visit. The work on the teeth seems to be done well. I have never had any complaints about the work they have done. I have never felt guilty about my teeth after an interaction here, only supported and encouraged. Perhaps the best praise I can provide is that my children actually like going to the dentist, and that is definitely because of the actions of the staff and not because I have been teaching them to like visits to the dentist. Full praise for Drs. Bagwell and Johnston and all the staff there.

I have lived many places and been to multiple different dentists and never have I really thought about how great a dentist is until I went to Dr. Bagwell's office. The experience for me was amazing, and I would most definitely recommend her to anyone. I have actually already recommended her to several friends and co-workers bc she and her staff are just that great. She takes her time and I never feel like she is in a rush. I recommend giving her a try just once to see exactly what I'm referring to. By far the best dentist I've been to.

I want to make sure I let Dr. Bagwell and her staff know how very thankful I am to them all. I am not one for dentist, I get extremely nervous and fearful. My husband went to Dr. Bagwell and came home telling me you will love her. Well I put it off as long as I could until I had a terrible toothache which lead me in her direction but I had a few hurdles before I got there. In my time with her for the first time I felt so much more calmer and cared for than ever before and she certainly took very good care of me. She sent me to someone else to take care of my tooth and since then I have been back to her and had some more of my teeth worked on and cleaned. I left with much joy an thankfulness. I have found the best dentist ever and I now look forward in going to see her. You need a good caring dentist then go see Dr. Bagwell and get this she called and made sure I was doing okay after my procedure with the other dentist and then when she worked on my teeth last week they called and checked on me. That was a great feeling to know they really do care.
