I had a filling replaced due to the present one being cracked. I didn't know this was being done since this particular tooth wasn't causing me any pain/issues. After I left I had pain when biting into food. I was assured this was common yet it went on for weeks. I went back to Dr. Clarkson three times due to this. Each time she made adjustments that didn't work. She told me after the fourth visit I would need a crown. I was upset that a costly procedure was needed for a tooth that hadn't caused me any issues prior to the filling. I decided to get a second opinion which happened yesterday. The two dental hygienists saw right away that part of the previous metal filling was still present, hadn't been completely removed, along with the new filling. Because two types of filling were present, one being metal, they couldn't bond, thus causing my pain. I am outraged and angry that this could be seen with the naked eye yet Dr. Clarkson did nothing about this on FOUR visits. I paid for a filling that will now have to be replaced which will cost me out of pocket again. The dentist office I went to yesterday was amazing. Suffice it to say, I will never go back to Dr. Clarkson again.

Everyone was super friendly and so wonderful. The front desk ladies were super sweet and helpful. Lexie was so fast and efficient. Plus she had a super personality! Like a best friend you could trust but you'd never met before. Doc said I needed a root canal so there was that but he was very nice and kind. I love the people here! Also they have super tech I'd never seen!

I have been going to see Dr Newell for over 20 years! He and his staff are so kind, friendly and compassionate. This was a happy place! When is daughter joining the practice things were even better. They are clean and have state of the art equipment. He turned my trailer park teeth into a beautiful smile,. BUT.... since Dr. Newell has retired I have seen this happy place transform into a not so happy place. I would have seen Dr. Clarkson but was put on the new guys schedule insted. I gave him a chance.. I came to them in pain, had a tooth pulled, told to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen, told antibiotics were not needed, suffered through the weekend in excruciating pain to get a 3pm appointment on Monday. Dr Boyd my jaw was infected into my ear and throat. You did not get everything and Tylenol and Ibuprofen does not touch that kind of pain. I am a grown woman but cried from Friday to Monday. Dr Newell would have never let me suffer that long.. I found a new dentist who would see me right away, treated my infection and relieved my pain. I will never go back to Dr. Boyd and his confrontational dental assistant. 6/7/2022.

I have been a patient here for two years or so and I cannot say enough about this place! Every time I go there everyone is professional and friendly, with some emphasis on "friendly". Lexie, in particular, is so warm and caring! She talks to me like a friend and I truly feel like she wants the best for me, not just the best for my teeth! I recommend this place with absolute confidence!

Great experience today with Dr. Carrie Clarkson and her assistant who were able to take me in with less than 24 hours notice because someone cancelled to do a big job, the start of putting in two crowns. Both she and her assistant were super. THE BEST BESIDE MANNER. ( Which is very important for me as I would rather give birth than have anything done on my teeth.) She talked me thru what she was going to do and what she did and made me feel so much more relaxed than I ever thought I would feel. She knew exactly what she was doing and they both worked as a team with great precision! Also, MIchelle helped me understand the insurance part dealing with two insurances and that was extremely helpful. I really appreciate how gentle all were with me today I will see them again in two weeks to get the permanent crown put on!

Incredibly unprofessional and frustrating business to deal with. Financial advisor, Michelle, was incredibly hostile to me when I was just trying to understand my treatment and finances. I was hung up on, told to "move past" mistakes, and overall was not able to receive treatment that I should've been able to receive, all of which while I was in pain and trying incredibly hard to receive treatment. The dentists and hygienists themselves were wonderful, patient, kind and thorough, but the clerical staff made this the worst expirence of my life. As a student, my dental insurance ran out at the end of November. I approached them in MAY to treat a few cavities and implants of two baby teeth before I was kicked off of insurance. I was told that they could certainly do this within the timeframe, but Michelle told me that my insurance "probably wouldn't cover" the implants and "usually has a max anyway." After a series of issues where pre-authorizations were either lost for six weeks or not put in, having to chase them down with phone calls to receive any information, and receiving information from my insurance that they actually would cover around 40% of my dental implants, CONTRARY to what I was told by the dental office, I was finally told to "forget the past and move forward with my treatment." They said they were "not going to hash out what may or may not have happened." When I questioned if the timeframe the treatment could now be done it would still be able to be completed within my insurance, I was told "well, you said you had some money saved up, right?" and when I said yes, but I'd still like to know if I can get insurance to cover it (as the money i have saved up would certainly not be enough to do both baby teeth, and the insurance coverage would've enabled me to do both), she said "I'm not arguing with you." and HUNG UP on me. I understand that places are short staffed--I am a nursing student and have dealt with it personally in the hospital--it's not an excuse for not owning up to your mistakes and repeatedly neglecting a patient. People who come for treatment are incredibly vulnerable and often don't understand insurance or treatment plans, and I don't think that should be used as a shield for potential clerical error that ends up causing a patient harm. I normally wouldn't post a bad review but the service I received was unbelievable, and I have NEVER had this expirence at a dental, vision or medical office before. I would love to settle the matter privately but the best chance I could receive on that was "leaving a message" with the doctor--we'll have to see if that gets anywhere.
