Dr. Stacey has been practicing at Parkview Dental for 19 years. He is a native of Boone and was accepted to the UNC School of Dentistry after just three years of undergraduate studies in Chapel Hill. He graduated, with honors, from the dental school in 1998 and entered the US Navy, commissioned as a lieutenant. His tours of duty included a year-long residency in advanced general dentistry in Jacksonville, Florida, two years at the US Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and one year at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He and his wife, Kim, have three children: Ethan, Alec, and Olivia. In his free time he enjoys skiing and mountain biking. Dr. Stacey has a gentle demeaner and approach that brings a sense of peace in the dental chair.
He grew up in Asheville, graduated from Asheville High School, and attended the University of North Carolina where he received bachelor degrees in both chemistry and literature. Upon graduating from the UNC dental school in 1979, he joined Dr. Robert H. Owen in dental practice. Dr. Flaherty has served as president of the Buncombe County Dental Society, as president of the First District of the North Carolina Dental Society, as well as other professional, church, and civic committees and boards. He and his wife, Darlene, have two children: Brooke, a graduate of UNC with a degree in public relations, and Trey, who recently graduated. His favorite past times are playing golf and enjoying his granddaughter.
He was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended The University of Utah for his undergraduate studies before graduating with honors from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While at Temple, Dr. Holt was the president of the Haiti Dental Mission Club and personally provided much needed dental care to the most remote reaches of Haiti. He also served in many underserved clinics in and around Philadelphia during his time in school.
Along with his wife, Laura, and two children, he moved back west after dental school. Both Dr. Holt and Laura speak Spanish fluently and take pride in serving those of the Latino community whenever possible.
'I find great fulfillment in helping those who are in pain and discomfort to feel better once again. I also really enjoy those who are self-conscious or embarrassed about their smile to feel confident and take pride in their smiles again.'
Dr. Mac joined the Parkview Dental team as a dentist in August, but has been a patient of the practice for many years. She was born and raised in Asheville and Dr. Flaherty was her dentist growing up. She attended A. C. Reynolds High School, graduated from the College of Charleston Honors College with a bachelor of science degree in biology, and earned her doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina.
While at MUSC, Dr. Mac was exposed to a lot of digital dentistry and is excited to see some of the new technology incorporated into Parkview Dental. She is particularly interested in SureSmile clear aligner treatment and using oral appliances to help her patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
Dr. Mac and her husband, Willy, just recently got married after moving back home to Asheville. They are enjoying newlywed life, being close to family again, and are hoping to add a puppy to the mix real soon!
Leslie has been at Parkview Dental for 12 years as the Referral & Billing Coordinator. She & her husband Shannon have 5 children; Alex, Brayden, Kennedy, Ellis, & Jesse. In her free time she loves DIY projects, watching Liberty Football, camping, and spending time with her family & church. She has a strong desire to help patients better understand their treatment and options, as well as keeping things organized and flowing smoothly.
Christy has been a Patient Coordinator at Parkview Dental for 3 years. She & her husband Greg have one daughter, Kylie, who is currently in nursing school and one sweet dog Maggie Mae. Christy loves spending time at the beach & lake, as well as hanging out with friends. She is such an asset to our office with her positive attitude and her love for people. Along with being a patient coordinator she is our office 'beautician.'
Lindsay is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two boys, Zach and Sam. She is a great problem solver and even greater at researching benefits for patients to make their part as smooth and as simple as possible.
Alicia has been in the medical field for 9 years and has recently joined our practice. She is a local to Asheville and she lives in Candler with her puppy Chance. In her free time she is involved in ministries that gives back to the community. She loves hiking, running, and reading. She is also a prophetic artist, working with charcoal and oil paint.
Adriene has been with Parkview Dental for 4 years. She has been practicing Hygiene for 19 years, serving 6 of those years as a dental hygiene instructor in FL and NC.She is most passionate about making patients feel comfortable, educating them about the physiology of disease, and providing thorough, gentle cleanings. We consider her as such a compassionate educator. It is very evident, through feedback from the patients, that she continues to love what she does.
Erin has been a part of our Hygiene team for 6 years. She has been practicing Hygiene for a total of 12 years. She and her husband Matt have a precious son Pierce and a cute little dog named Pippa. Erin loves traveling and shopping. She and her family love their trips to Disney. Erin's personality truly brightens our office. Her patients love her because she is so caring, thorough, and compassionate.
Kassie has been with Parkview Dental for 6 months. She has been practicing hygiene for 21 years. She is happily married to her Haywood County Native husband, and together they have 4 daughters, 2 grandkids, and 3 dogs. In her free time she loves spending time hiking, traveling, trying new foods, and her church. Kassie has many strong attributes including, honest communication, easing anxious patients, and teaching.
Jenna has been at Parkview Dental for 4 years. She has been a dental assistant for 6 years. She has a close relationship with many of her family members including her dad & her Aunt Chelsea. She also views our team here as family, saying that we are strong and we thrive together. In her free time she loves watching The New Orleans Saints play, making people laugh, dancing, and enjoying her fur baby Lexi. She is a very driven, dependable, and hard working part of our team. She wins the award for best patient notes in the office.
LaShanda has been with Parkview Dental for almost 7 years as a dental assistant. She is married to her high school sweetheart of 19 years. Together they have two very handsome boys, Christopher & Nicolas. She enjoys spending time with family and exercising. At work she prides herself on connecting and relating to patients on a personal level. She is light hearted and is always smiling and laughing... unless there is a spider in the room.
Verronica has been with Parkview Dental for 5 years. She has been in the dental field for 11 years. She has three amazing daughters and one precious grandson. In her free time Verronica loves going to the beach, hiking, family time, and traveling. She is such an asset to our office. She is well educated, timely, and precise. She pays attention to detail and loves a great challenge. Her patients always commend her for her attentiveness and friendly demeaner.
Savannah has been with Parkview Dental for 5 months but she has been a patient for many years. She has been in the dental field for 4 years. She enjoys her time with her sweetheart and her 7 year old step son. She is also very close with her parents and siblings. In her free time she loves going to the lake to fish and swim, crocheting blankets, playing with her fur babies, and reading a good book. She has a special way of connecting with people as well as a determination and willingness to learn.

Dr. Holt is very kind, patient and highly skilled. I am receiving an implant and they made it very comfortable and easy. I am so grateful for this wonderful practice. All the hygienists and staff are kind and caring. Dr. Stacey is wonderful too. He is also my dentist and is highly skilled, caring and compassionate. I highly recommend this practice!

Upon my return to Asheville, I wanted to get established with a new dentist. I was very happy to get an appointment so quickly. Today I had a cleaning with Erin and a consult with Dr. Mac. Everyone at the clinic was just great. The facility is very clean. I was surprised that the only staff wearing masks were the dental techs and dentist but it wasn't crowded and I was content wearing my own mask prior to my procedure. I am very happy with my experience. Both individuals patiently listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly. I am very happy to know I have a great dentist in my new home.

Parkview Dental I was seen as a patient on 9.28.22 at Parkview Dental. Dentist: Dr. Stacey Christie and Alicia Our patient care coordinators. The title does not really grasp the full responsibilities that they handle for the practice. Alicia contacted me to tell me that they had an early opening for my dental care and could I make it today? I told her I could call her back in half an hour or so if she could hold the appointment. She was more than accommodating. I had a call back several times. One I inquired how long my treatment would be? The staff regardless of how many times I called. Was always very patient with me and extremely polite. When I was checking out I paid for my upper and lower by plate. I was quite surprised that they did not check with my dental insurance to see what they were going to cover for the x-rays and the teeth cleaning. I thought once my dental work was completed. The staff would know what my copay was. Christie told me that I could pay on my next visit and that everything would be fine. I believe it was Alicia that called me. To inform me that my upper and lower night guard was ready. Could I come in this coming Wednesday. They remembered that I'd like the afternoon appointments. Which means the staff pays attention to the patient. The amount of camaraderie and teamwork among the staff is outstanding. Many businesses or medical practices do not recognize how important it is that the first individuals the patients come in contact with are critically important in the overall care of an individual. My dentist name was Doctor Stacey.Who is a very gentile, compassionate, and very comprehensive about explaining everything to me about my procedure's. My hygienist Adriana was painless, explained that she likes to use the hydraulic cleaning pic first. Then she proceeds two evaluate each tooth with a separate instrument. She took a full set of x-rays and said, everything looked fine. She wanted to have Doctor Stacey's opinion. She was vivacious, and spoke about how she was going to one of her daughter's game immediately after treating me. She said, have a happy weekend. LaShanda Dental Assistant, used the state of the art equipment that scanned Your upper and lower teeth for the night guard. You no longer had to use substances and metal instruments and bite down repeatedly to take an impression of your teeth. Then the impressions had to be sent out to a lab which could take weeks. Doctor Stacey Invested in expensive equipment where they could make the upper and lower bit plate right at their office which expedited you having your bite plate as soon as possible. The cost savings passed down to the patient's is amazing. Thanks to Doctor Stacey's office I have invested in two MEDIFY AIR AN OZONE AIR Purifiers for my place. When you're at Doctor Stacey's office you feel like you're breathing in pure oxygen. The air is so clean. My previous dentist office the staff was impatient, incompetent, and acted like a collection agency even though i paid my bills on time. If you have any fear of seeing a dentist; you should set it aside if you're considering making an appointment with Dr. Stacey's office. They do everything they can to make the patient feel as comfortable as possible. The environment with the staff is enticing, calming and most important of all they treat you with respect. My gratitude to Doctor Stacey and his staff. I am very fortunate to be a patient at their office.

This dental practice is wonderful! The front office staff is helpful, professional and very pleasant. The hygienists are knowledgable, professional, caring and highly skilled! Further, Dr. Stacey is gentle, thorough, and clinically prudent, not to mention highly skilled, compassionate and a great communicator. I trust him so much that I take my kids to see him, and have referred all my other family members AND my patients to him as well. Can I say more?

I went into for a tooth emergency from a fall today and the team got me in that same day to see Dr. Stacey. Seeing me with a full load of patients, Dr. Stacey and his assistant were so incredibly kind, talented, and gracious. I cannot recommend them enough! While Dr. Flaherty is sadly gone to retirement, Annette is still there to clean my teeth and the whole staff is welcoming and professional. Will continue to go there for my dental work as I have for nearly 20 years.

I've been a patient at Dr Flaherty and Stacy for over 10 years now and they have been terrific. Fortunately, my need has been routine cleaning and x-rays. In my time there I've only had two dental hygienists, low turnover and good quality people.
