As of 25FEB22: Horrible customer service. Called and had to reschedule twice. Both of my attempts at getting in for a routine cleaning and check up were interrupted by what I do as a profession/healthcare provider. The second time was a contact exposure to COVID. Longstory short, I called on 24FEB with an emerging urgent care need and was told I must first pay $100 in no-show fees. I informed the front desk that I had called and respectfully cancelled both previous times and she insisted that I no-showed. She said I must call 48 hours in advance otherwise I am charged with a $50 no show fee. She was extremely rude and personalizing the situation. I explained the nature of my cancelations and the fact that I cannot predict the future, especially given my profession, and the worker didn't care. I said, so, are the licensed DDS providers refusing to seeing me or stabilize my tooth/unethically abandoning me as their patient with an urgent need over $100 in questionable no-show fees that were not actual no-shows because I called and canceled? They are witholding emerging care for me over a questionable/debatable event? The worker then said she would talk to the Dentists and call me back in order to see if they will waive the no-show fee or not for my situation. It has been 2 days now, I remain in pain, it is still an urgent matter needing medically assessed by a dentist at the very least, and no one has called me back. If I do not get in soon and have my fees excused, I will be reaching out to the Virginia state board of dentistry and filing a complaint for abandonment/neglect. No call back. No sense of urgency in taking care of their patient. No follow up attempt. Straight abandonment. In essence, they are leveraging my oral pain and emerging urgent need to be seen to bully me into $100 no show fees (which they weren't even no shows) before taking care of my oral issue.....unethical and pretty certain the board would be highly interested in this situation. What's even more cold and rigid is all my wife and 4 kids also go there and we have a great record of getting to all of are appointments. 2 Years ago: We recently relocated to the area and opted to establish dental care at this practice for our family of 6. The front desk staff are very polite and kind. The technicians, hygienists, and dentists here were all very kind, personable, and professional. I have to give it 5 stars because they are very accomodating to families coming in all together and render excellent and professional work. Thank you FF &M!! We will see you in July for our follow-ups!!

Dr. McCoy saw me today for tooth pain and bleeding gum. Saw my xrays from previous dentist Dr. Paratsu of Dental Care of Lightfoot. She said I need $5000.00 worth of dental fillings, Invisialign and other stuff after seeing me only 8 months before for the 1st time. 1st. time she said my teeth looked great. Dr. McCoy said I had no problems with my teeth based on her xrays now a year later. He said my pain was from my sinuses. Very honest and didn't try to "upsell" me. The front desk is very nice and professional. Family practices are always better than Corporate ones. Will be going back for checkup.

Today while being seen we had a horrible experience with Dr. Gisela Fashing. We have been going here for about 5 years now and my son has been seen here for 3 years. We have never been told he cannot be seen here and a pediatric dentist has never been recommended. My 5 year old son, who is diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Speech Impairment, has a very hard time at the dentist- which they know. It is in his file that he has Autism and I have reminded them multiple times. He had an appointment today for a cleaning. He was having a hard time as usual when Dr. Gisela Fashing stormed into the room and started yelling at my son, who did not understand what was going on and who was scared, and I in front of my 7 year old daughter and several staff members. She was being disrespectful. It was humiliating and horrifying. Dr. Maria Fashing tried to apologize for her mother's outburst, and told us she didn't want us to feel unwelcome. While I appreciate the sentiment it is hard to feel welcome after that sort of outburst. It was completely callous, unprofessional and disrespectful. I left in tears. No one should ever be treated this way. As a professional you need to hold yourself to a higher standard. It would have been easy to take me aside to have a private, calm, professional conversation with me if you felt you could no longer see my son. We have more knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorder now than ever before- but there is still a staggering amount of people ignorant on this topic- including many people in the medical field. There is still so much progress that needs to be made. This whole event was a reminder of just that.

Taking 4 kids and myself to the dentist usually is like a bad balancing act in the circus, but Dr. Maria and Dr. McCoy are so very patient and accommodating it really takes the worry out of it. They actually take time to talk to you and explain anything you need to know. And believe me, with 4 kids, I have A LOT of questions. It is a small business so there aren't any fancy tv's on the walls in the exam rooms, but they are one of the only ones who still take our military dental insurance and are thorough and caring and will inconvenience themselves to help you out. Dr. Maria is very good with children and Dr. McCoy has done crown work and fillings on me and did a superb job.

I was delighted with professional informative staff and Dr. Maria Fashing. They gave a detailed discription of my required dental work as well as what my insurance coverage. I will recommend them to everyone. Second visit cleaning was excellent. The fabulous Hygenist removed dark ends of broken off veneers. I was amazed. So professional and confident. Dr. Fashing explained how she shall fix Chipped veneers and build up a small front tooth. I am delighted.

Dr and hygienist listened to my concerns and were helpful. They provided time to discuss options and did not just rush me out the door. Hygienist was a bit rough, but I deserved it, lol.

I don't like going to the dentist so I had not been for 12 years. A friend told me this was the place to go, like a good friend I made my appointment that day. I got their every one was friendly I chose to wait outside and it was not a problem. When it was my turn (on time) the assistant was a calming force for me she talk to help me relax and when the dentist came in she was super nice and understanding. She explained everything she was doing and after 2 hours and two fillings I felt better and I will be returning, my appointment is already made.
