Dr. Kara Heimer grew up in Faribault, Minnesota. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the College of St. Catherine and her dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Heimer has been serving patients in Southern Minnesota for over seven years in family dentistry with a focus on comprehensive care and cosmetics. She provides expertise with Invisalign and KoR Whitening.Dr. Heimer enjoys meeting and learning about patients.
Dr. Heimer is a member of the American Academy of Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association and theAustin Dental Society.Shealso serves as an Austin YMCA Executive Board Member. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running and golf.
Dr. Peter Green grew up in Plainview, Minnesota. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Hamline University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota. In addition, Dr. Green also attended the Air Force Academy, and is a Doctor of Conscious Sedation and a Diplomat in the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Discipline. He has been serving patients for 36 years and joined the clinic in 1981. He describes his experience in the dental industry as amazing, fulfilling, grateful and rewarding.
Dr. Green provides patients with full-service dental care, conscious sedation, implants, dental sleep medicine, jaw joint health treatment, pediatric dentistry, white fillings, same day crowns, smile makeovers, root canals, extractions and more. He enjoys the dental team of providers at Elrod, Green & Heimer and all the wonderful patients that put their trust in us.
Dr. Green is a member of the American Academy of Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, Austin Dental Society and CEREC Doctors Academy. He has served on numerous boards and has volunteered for a variety of organizations. In his spare time he enjoys family time, biking, running, skiing, playing hockey, volunteering, fishing and traveling on Haiti dental missions.

My dental hygienist, Ashley is just the best. She is so nice and is always so thorough when cleaning. My teeth always feel so clean! And Dr N is also so nice! Thank you for making my dentist appointments less scary!

Without a doubt, the best dental experience ever!!! New to the area, this was my first visit. I am typically very anxious in a dental chair. Not to worry, the dental hygienist, Ashley, was very thorough and gentle, explaining the cleaning process along the way. When she finished, Dr. Whitehurst came in and examined my teeth. Images of my teeth appeared on a screen in front of me. She expertly shared areas of concern and together we formulated a care plan. The key word here is "care". From checking in to checking out, the care was phenomenal. Five stars doesn't adequately describe this practice. They are worth all that and so much more!!!!
