Dr. Weinberg was raised in Durham, NC. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wake Forest University before attending the University of North Carolina Dental School. Dr. Weinberg went on to complete his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Before returning to North Carolina, he remained on faculty at CCHMC for 3 years. Dr. Weinberg has achieved Diplomate status as a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Weinberg is past Chairman of the Board of the Childrens Museum and past Chairman of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Additionally, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Weinberg lives in Wilmington with his wife Betsy and their two young daughters. He enjoys soccer, golf, running and spending time with his family.

If I could rate higher I certainly would. My 7 year old daughter needed to have two baby teeth pulled because of overcrowding. Our normal dentist does not preform this procedure on children. We called Dr. Cherry and from the start the office made it a pleasurable experience. Procedure went without flaw and they made my daughter comfortable throughout the entire time. Dr. Cherry called no less than 3 times for a follow up to make sure she remained well. Thank you Dr. Dimock, Weinberg and especially Cherry.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience for my very anxious child. The staff did an excellent job of making sure he was comfortable at all times and reassured through out the appointment. Not only was my child very happy with the visit, I was thrilled at how thoughtful and transparent both Dr. Cherry and the receptionist were. I am so happy to have found this dental office.

My son has been coming here since he was a toddler and has always gotten great service and always taken care of. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Cherry is always knowledgeable and answers any questions you might have. The staff is always friendly. A+

The hygienist and administrativel staff are always very kind to me and my children. They talk to them and have made them feel comfortable from day 1. They are fast and efficient and Dr. Cherry always compliments my girls on a good job caring for their teeth while also telling them ways to improve. I also appreciate him not suggesting unnecessary procedures and making recommendations that are the least invasive. We are always in and out in less than an hour and both my girls are seen at the same time.

I have had the good fortune of having Dr. Julie Dimock as our pediatric dentist for the last 11 years. As we left their office today it dawned on me just how lucky we are that we always leave with smiles on our face. Pediatric dental visits can be worrisome for both parent and child but that has never been the case. From the moment we walk in we are pleasantly greeted with a smile and are quickly led to the back by an upbeat hygienist. Dr. Dimock and staff are repeatedly professional, kind and approachable. The staff at check out consistently does an excellent job making sure our next appointments are scheduled as well as taking a moment to speak to my kids about their visit. Thanks to Dr. Dimock my kids take pride in their dental care and look forward to going back each time.

The staff at the Leland office was Amazing with my Autistic son. The dental hygienist Hailey explained every step before she began, visually showing him what she was about to do. Thank you for giving my son such a great dental visit!!

I have a 16 month old son. He fell on his mouth, and broke his tooth vertically to were the nerves/pulp was hanging down the middle of the tooth. The Dr. sat us down explaining the process, and what needed to be done. They immediately knew they had to extract the tooth. It took all of 5 minutes, and they were calling me back in. He had already stopped crying! They are so professional, and caring. They gave him a toy for being such a great patient. This was the best experience I could have asked for!

We switched to Dr.Dimock a few years ago and we have been very happy with her, the staff and their awesome facilities. Today our son had to have some dental work under anesthesia and we were a little nervous. The whole process was so much easier and less stressful than we imagined. They are really wonderful!

Best dentist I ever took my kids to, I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great outspoken loving dentist for your baby, to come here. They made my kids so happy & felt very welcomed! My 4 year old hates the dentist with the last one he went to before & I was ready for him to through a fit but he didn't have not one melt down, they made him very happy & had no problem at all!

Dr. Leone was awesome. My son had 4 cavities he needed filled and she did it so quickly and professionally. After she was done my son was very upset and kept crying and she wasn't like most DR who just ignore that PTS she continued to check in on him and make sure he was comfortable and she even tried to help calm him down. I would definitely recommend anyone and everyone to this Leland office. All of the staff was very polite and very professional as well. Thank you guys so much!!! Armstrong Family

My son needed an infected baby tooth extracted. The staff there were amazing! He was super anxious about the procedure and the dentist took the time to explain everything real time while doing the procedure. My son was all smiles the whole time!!!! They are Awesome!
