Dr. Jodi graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Chemistry minor and went on to attend the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta (formerly known as the Medical College of Georgia) where she received her doctorate of dental medicine degree (DMD) in 2016. During dental school, she developed a passion for treating children and special needs patients.
After dental school, she completed an additional two-year residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Dental College of Georgia. During residency, she completed training at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) at both Scottish Rite and Egleston. She also trained at the Childrens Hospital of Georgia. From this training, she gained a wealth of knowledge in special needs children and children with craniofacial anomalies. During residency, she was trained to be a specialist in the management of infants, children, and teens including hospital and sedation dentistry, behavior management, growth and development, preventative dentistry, management of acute dental trauma, and management of special needs and medically complex patients.
Dr. Jodi stays active in organized dentistry through her membership in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, Southwestern District Dental Society, and the Florida Dental Association.
She and her husband Martin have a little boy Leo and two dogs, Meeka and Madi. When not at her office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves the beach, traveling, practicing yoga, and being outdoors.
Dr. Jodi is committed to providing the best-individualized care for each of her patients and is passionate about developing great experiences for each of her patients so that they LOVE the dentist for years to come.

Our almost 2 year old went in for a cleaning and the pediatric dentist quickly noticed decay in his upper teeth. She recommended we attempt to reverse the decay with proper brushing twice a day with flouride. She gave clear instructions about using only a pea sized amount, which eased my worry about flourosis (which is something that I have and don't want for our son). The dentist recommended we return within 3 months to see our son's progress. Unfortunately with our continuation of day and night breastfeeding the sugar from my milk decayed his teeth even further so he clearly had 4 cavities on his upper teeth and the dentist recommended a few options for decay removal. It was a tough decision but we decided to go with the 4 front upper crowns. The staff, anesthesiologist, dentists, dental hygienists and everyone else at the office were very kind and professional. They did a great job. Our son's teeth look so good. It's a work of art, actually. We followed their recommendations for post op and it worked perfectly with little to no discomfort. We would highly recommend this pediatric dentistry if you are considering a switch or just came into town like us and needed pro help.

My daughter was a patient of Dr. Cummings. We had a good experience overall with Dr. Cummings. My daughter had a recent visit to remove the permanent retainers. They removed the bottom permanent retainers and then convinced my daughter to replace the retainers. My daughter did not really want to proceed with getting a removable retainers. She understands that her teeth will move but she was thinking of getting retainers later on. I feel like their practice was too aggressive and charged an excessive amount of money for what I had already paid for this procedure under Dr. Cummings. I would not recommend them to any new patients. In summary they are too greedy and I no longer trust them.

We've been using Drs. Carey & Jones for years for our kids' dentist and orthodontist needs. They are always courteous and professional. The staff is friendly and super helpful! The doctors are great! Waiting times are usually low. We love them and highly recommend them!

LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE!! The entire staff is beautiful and perfect, it is full of the most genuine, caring, and comforting people. Not to mention the exceptional customer service at every visit. P.S. Dr. Jones and Dr. Carey was the only doctor office I enjoyed visiting :)!

I have enjoyed the services of Drs. Carey and Jones for all three of my children. They had their very first visits there, years of check-ups, and all three have had braces. The office is very friendly and professional. They have a great reminder system. My kids have always been comfortable going there and we will miss them when we have to start using adult dentists!
