Dr. LuAnne M. Curatola graduated from Wellesley College, receiving a BA in Biology and Art History. She received her dental education from New York University College of Dentistry, and after completing a residency program, went into private practice. She has maintained private dental practices in Manhattan and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

Before deciding to become a dentist, I completed a double major at Wellesley in art and biology. This has only enhanced my ability to pay particular attention to detail on aesthetic/cosmetic procedures and to create a look so natural and beautiful, people will never know youve had dental work. My goal is to help people create the most aesthetic and healthy smile through advanced dental care. That is the most rewarding part of all the hard work and education.

Dr. Curatola is a member of numerous professional leadership organizations, serving as President of several local dental study clubs. This has enabled her to bring national clinicians as speakers on the latest topics of cosmetic and implant dentistry.

Dental theory, knowledge and procedures are rapidly advancing. Each day, new research appears and new clinical study results are published. To keep current with this information, so that you get the best dental care possible, I attend postgraduate courses regularly.

Dr. Curatola is dedicated to health awareness, and brings the most current medical and dental information to her patients. She has chaired numerous philanthropic fundraisers, including Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer Golf Outing. As the Young Professional Chairperson of the Second District Dental Society of New York, she was the state representative for dentists under 40 years of age to the National American Dental Association. She has presented lectures on the local and national level representing Women in Dentistry. As the mother of three daughters, she has continued to lecture to schools and children with relation to pediatric dentistry and career choices.

I consider my children to be the greatest source of inspiration and have only enhanced my ability to be a most compassionate practitioner. I love to share my enthusiasm and respect for my profession with young children who are first starting to think about future career plans. Dentistry and motherhood have been a beautiful blend for me, whereas colleagues in other professions have not had the ability to enjoy their professional and personal life simultaneously. After many a career day presentation at a school, receiving a phone call about how I have inspired a young girl in the audience is not uncommon.

Dr. Curatola has a particular interest in prevention and periodontal health, attending many post-graduate courses on non-surgical intervention in periodontal disease and is happy to share that with her practice. She is an active and dedicated member of her profession and continues to practice with the highest regard for the profession.

Sharing information with my colleagues is one of the most important benefits of belonging to some of the countrys most prestigious dental organizations. It lets me exchange ideas and learn about new treatments that can help my patients. Its a win-win situation.

Dr. Curatola has had a life-long interest in the performing and visual arts. Not only is this reflected in her personal life, but she finds it particularly rewarding to be practicing in the heart of the performing arts of Manhattan. She is also a patron of many local and national museums. Her technical ability and warm compassionate nature have attracted Broadway, Metropolitan Opera, and Juilliard performers whose dental needs are of the highest aesthetic demand. Her association with visual artists has enabled her to host office exhibitions of their work, bringing the arts even closer to her professional environment.

A life-long passion for dentistry has been the driving force in Dr. Zagamis pursuit of dental excellence. After finishing his Bachelors of Science at Wagner College, he went on to complete his Doctorate of Dental Science at New York University College of Dentistry.

I knew dentistry was for me when I was just 8 years old. Having just had a mouthful of cavities filled, I was mesmerized by my dentists skill. Since then, mentoring has always been important to me. Having had world-renowned clinicians as instructors has led me to my ultimate pursuit of specialized dentistry.

Dr. Zagami continued his education by serving a residency at Lutheran Medical Center, and then earned a specialty Certificate from New York University College of Dentistry in Prosthodontics. This comprehensive educational background has allowed him to pursue the very finest in the dental restorative arts.

A solid educational foundation has allowed me to focus on providing you with the care you deserve. My personal and professional commitment to exceptional dentistry means I continue learning every day. I want you to benefit from the newest treatment and latest technologies.

He continues his education with advance training in such programs like the Nobel Bio-Care Surgical Program, as well as continuing educational programs through the American Dental Association, American College of Prosthodontists, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Zagami is well versed in all leading-edge technologies and treatments in cosmetic, preventative, and restorative dentistry.

I firmly believe in a comprehensive approach to restorative dental treatment. This approach is best brought about by the efforts of a unique team; a Surgical Specialist, a Master Technician, and a Prosthodontist. I feel the combined ability of the team I have assembled in my practice ensures the highest standard in both function and esthetics.

He was an attending instructor at Lutheran Medical Center and NYU College of Dentistry. On numerous occasions Dr. Zagami has been invited to lecture at the annual Greater New York Dental Meeting, and well as various other New York area dental societies and study clubs. He has helped in the mentoring of future dentists to train in some of the finest dental schools in the country. He has served the West Side community at large for over twenty years of private practice. Recognizing the importance the arts play in this community, he and Dr. Curatola developed The Performing Arts Program in order to serve the unique needs of artist and performers.
