The history of our practice begins in 1937, when Dr. Harold Singer opened his office on Main Street in Torrington. He gained a reputation for compassion and quality of care, a legacy which continues to this day. Dr. Cutts practiced with Dr. Singer for several years, retiring shortly before Dr. Coutant joined the practice.
By that time, the office was at 30 Peck Road, and two years later, Dr. Sederquist (Dr. C and Dr. S were classmates at Tufts) joined the rapidly expanding practice. Dr. Singer retired in 1973, moving with his wife to California to be closer to their three daughters.
The office was expanded, and Dr. Nebor joined the group in 1979. Eventually we designed and built our present building at 55 Peck Road (moving in at the end of 1989), which has allowed us to care for our patients in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Dr. Clauss joined our group in 2007, bringing several years of prior experience to the practice. Dr. Wojewoda joined our practice after completing his residency in July of 2017 in anticipation of the retirement of Drs. Sederquist and Coutant.

Well qualified dentistry. Attuned to the needs of each patient. Efficient staff within a beautifully landscaped setting. Each office has large windows showing off the setting in the Litchfield hills. I find the natural beauty surrounding the office helps put me at peace. Dr Wojewoda and Dr Clauss have the latest dental equipment, offer potential concepts for dental needs which allows patients to make decisions to be expertly carried out. I highly recommend this dental practice

Obliging, caring staff, especially Dr. Kelly Clauss. She takes the time to explain everything she is about to do and is very patient in answering any questions. I visited Dr. Clauss after having received an outrageous estimate for dental work from my previous dental services provider. Dr. Clauss made her own assessment of the health and condition of my mouth/teeth. She then performed what dental procedures were actually necessary (not nearly as complicated or invasive as I had been told!!) and she saved me a couple of thousand dollars in the process. I'm still not a fan of going to the dentist but I am most appreciative that my care is in her hands. I highly recommend Northwest Corner Dental and Dr. Kelly Clauss. (Hygienist Kristina also did a great job!)

So my Father Richard had a stroke a few months ago and he had an appointment here today. The staff was kind, caring, compassionate, and sensitive to my father's needs. Our family has been coming here for 30 years and it's never had a bad or negative experience. I would continue to recommend anyone to come here.

So my Father Richard had a stroke a few months ago and he had an appointment here today. The staff was kind, caring, compassionate, and sensitive to my father's needs. Our family has been coming here for 30 years and it's never had a bad or negative experience. I would continue to recommend anyone to come here.

Great practice with caring staff. Love that they have Saturday hours too. I've been a patient for a few years and like that they see my child too at the same time which is convenient for a busy mom!

Couldn't even get my foot in the door. It wasn't certain that my insurance was going to cover the work I needed done so the receptionist told me to look elsewhere in a condescending fashion. I haven't been for a cleaning in sometime and she made it clear they wanted nothing to do with getting me back on track. Three weeks before I could get in for a cleaning! I called another dentist in town and they said come in this same day.
