I love being an orthodontist, and the opportunity it affords me to be able to meet so many wonderful families. It has always been my focus to 'do the right thing at the right time!' Therefore, I treat my patients as if they were one of my own children. I am extremely passionate about orthodontics and am continuously seeking educational opportunities for myself and my staff. This allows us to deliver the best treatment for our patients. It is important for me to provide excellent orthodontic results using the latest technology while having a friendly and fun atmosphere.
I have been providing outstanding orthodontic care since 1995. After finishing my undergraduate studies at Duquesne University, I attended the University of Pittsburgh Dental School for my dental degree. I then completed an orthodontic residency at New York University. I also maintain memberships with such professional organizations as the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the Raleigh Wake County Dental Society.
Being a part of and giving back to our community is of the utmostimportance to me and my family. I continue to be active in the community, volunteering and supporting local schools, boy scouts, food banks and various other charitable organizations.
I have been married for over 25 years, with four wonderful children. When not tooth moving, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, playing volleyball, or catching a Pittsburgh Steelers game!
I grew up in a little farm town. I met Karen, my wife, in 8th grade and we have been together every since! I finished my Biology major, then Dental School, then Orthodontics Specialty Residency, at The University of Buffalo. My wife and I have been blessed with four sons and one daughter. Raising our children and pursuing my Orthodontic career, kept us busy for many years. Recently, we moved to the Raleigh area to be closer to our children. We have enjoyed the weather and community here in North Carolina. My family and I love traveling and experiencing life's treasures together. Outside of family, I absolutely love the world of Orthodontics and continue to be excited about the advances that our industry continues to make. I am particularly fond of Airway and orthodontics and the differences that Dr.Khara and I are able to make in our patient's lives.

Although I was born in Erie, PA, my roots are planted in Fuquay-Varina. I have been in dentistry, and with Dr. Khara, for thirteen years. Originally, I wanted to be a dental hygienist, but quickly fell in love with orthodontics. When I am not at work, I head off to my favorite place to be, Oak Island, NC! I enjoy spending countless hours on the water with my husband, daughter and our three dogs!
Although born in El Salvador, I grew up in New York and currently, North Carolina is where I call home. I joined the dental field in 2006 after earning my dental assisting degree in NY and I have over 20 years of customer service. Building lasting relationships with our patients and work family is very important to me. I enjoy working with the best doctors and amazing dream team. As a team, we will help our patients achieve a healthy and beautiful smile they will be proud of. When my time is not spent at a soccer field, I love to travel with my husband and our three sons.

I am originally from Massachusetts and relocated 16 years ago. Although New England will always be my home, I have fallen in love with North Carolina. Born and raised in San Francisco California, I moved to Raleigh in 2006, and the south quickly grew on me. I have worked for for this amazing doctor and with this team since 2010. A southern California girl but raised in North Carolina, I am a newbie to the dental field. However, I am enjoying this journey in which I have embarked. I started my orthodontictreatment in this office. I love my braces and seeing my transformation, but I must say I am amazed with seeing my patients transformations as well. My family is from Honduras, but I was born and raised in Durham, NC also known as Bull City. I am currently a student at Wake Technical Community College and plan on becoming a dental hygenist. I'm a Salvadoran-Maryland girl that relocated to NC in 2017. I've been living back and forth between MD and NC my whole life. North Carolinian born and raised! I have a beautiful daughter and come from a huge family; family is everything to me. My favorite vacation spot is the mountains (if I had it my way, Id be living off the grid in Alaska haha) and you will always catch me singing. I have been a dental assistant in general dentistry since 2015 but have dreamed of being an Ortho assistant since I was 15. Im the newest member of the Dream Smiles family and I wouldnt change it for the world! I love what I do and being able to learn a new skill set has been so fun and rewarding. This group of people has made my Ortho experience, so far, everything and more than I couldve imagined and I couldnt be more thankful to be a part of this family.

Upon arrival for your first visit to our office, you will be greeted by our administrative team. They are your first point of contact in our office, and will help you get signed in, assist you with paperwork, as well as be your tour guide through our office. Once you are signed in, feel free to head straight back to our tooth brushing station. Our toothbrushes are pre-pasted and disposable for your convenience.
Afterwards, you are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee from our coffee bar and relax in our lounge. However, you will not be waiting long! Our office prides itself on seeing our patients in a timely manner!
