Dr. Carl Drake grew up in El Paso, Illinoisand is a graduate of the University of Illinois. Carl continued his education at Indiana University School of Dentistryand received hisDDS degree, graduatingwith highest honors. He then completed a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Florida and received hisMS degree and certificate of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
It is Dr. Drakes personal goal to ensure that his patients receive the best care possible. He is committed to participating in continuing education as a way to further develop his skills and knowledge in orthodontics and to stay current with the latest advances being made in his field. He maintains several professional affiliations that provideopportunities for continuing education, including:
Dr. Drake and his wife, Kristen, a Gridley native and University of Illinois graduate, reside in Bloomington with their children, Ben, Ella, Dylan and Owen. In his free time, Dr. Drake enjoys outdoor activities, including running and golf, music, sports, church, and spending time with family and friends.

Natalie is our Treatment Coordinator. She graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She enjoys meeting new patients and making sure they have the best experience when visiting Drake Orthodontics! She is a wife and mother. She loves spending time with her family and friends.
Tammy works part-time as our Scheduling Coordinator, has been in the dental field since 2008. She is a wife and mother to three boys! Her hobbies include shopping, spending time with family, and relaxing with a massage.
Jourdan is our scheduling coordinator and has been in the dental field since 2018.She was born and raised in Indiana (Go Colts!), but lived in St. Louis for 5 years before her husband was transfered to the Bloomington-Normal area. She is a wife and mother and enjoys spending time with her family in her free time!
Shelley is our financial coordinator. She has extenstive clinical and administrative experience in the healthcare field. In her free time she enjoys crossfit and is on the board of a non-for profit art organization. However, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her two children!
Kim is a clinical assistant and has been in the dental field for over 5 years. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She also likes craftingin her spare time.

I did not use Dr Drake for my braces but I saw him for a consultation to get his opinion about braces for me. I believe he is knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services in the future if I ever needed to. The information I learned at my consult helped me understand my condition and hopefully improve my prognosis. He was thorough and seemed very trustworthy to me.

Dr. Drake and his team are really personable. You can tell they really enjoy their careers. I was only concerned about two spaces in my teeth, so I got braces. Those spaces closed up very quickly, but there were other concerns Dr. Drake had. He wants things to be perfect and my teeth are literally perfect now. I was extremely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend.

We were traveling through Illinois from Missouri to Wisconsin and my son had a wire sticking out from his braces. He had the wire changed Wednesday and didn't notice it until today. They took us in right then and fixed it! Very accommodating and helpful! Wonderful staff!

My son had braces with Dr. Drake and had them removed about a year ago. We were so pleased with Dr. Drake and his staff. They were very professional and their price was a little less than other orthodontists in town. I appreciated that they had check up hours available after school so students wouldn't miss school and parents wouldn't miss work. Because of the type of braces used, there were times we didn't need to be seen for 6 or 8 weeks, which lessened the time commitment for us. He was really good at getting my son to take proper care of his teeth as well. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I went to see Dr. Drake after I had gone through Invisalign with another practice and needed some additional adjustments. Dr. Drake's attention to detail is amazing - he was more picky than I was about my teeth :) Great guy and obviously knows his stuff. Highly recommended!
