Dr. Katherine Khaghany-Duffy has been in private practice for over 19 years, enjoying all aspects of general dentistry, including family and cosmetic dentistry. She attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate and graduated with Honors from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Khaghany-Duffy actively participates in continuing education courses and strives to stay current in all aspects of dentistry. She is a current member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society. She is a graduate of the Kois Center, an advanced graduate level training center for practicing dentists. When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Khaghany-Duffy looks forward to spending time with her sons. They enjoy playing sports, riding bikes, reading, and spending time with their extended family.
Dr. Marisa Welburn has been with Drake Dental since 2010 and she began working in private practice in 2005. She is a Michigan native from the Kentwood area. She graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in biomedical science and then from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where she received her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Welburn is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society. She has completed numerous hours of continuing education classes in the fields of general and cosmetic dentistry and is up to date with the newest technology and techniques. In her spare time, Dr. Welburn enjoys running, competing in triathlons, and spending time with her husband, Andy and son Jase.
Dr. Jonathan VanDenburgh has been practicing dentistry in Michigan since 2015 and joined Drake Dental in January of 2019. He attended Andrews University and Kettering College of Medical Arts for his undergraduate. Having spent most of his life in Southern California, he graduated with honors from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. VanDenburgh is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, SW Michigan District Dental Society, National Dental Honors Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. When not reading dental texts and attending continuing education, Dr. VanDenburgh enjoys time with his wife and three children traveling, fishing, sailing, and doing photography.

Showed up for the appointment and they said my appointment didn't exist even though I had both the confirmation email and text from them saying it was at that time. Made no attempt to correct the mistake. I was sent away even though I had to leave work during a critical meeting to get there. No concern for patient's wasted time caused by their mistake.

By far the nicest dentist office I have been to. Building inside and out is top notch. The best part are the staff members. Everyone is unbelievably nice! Thank you much for being so kind. Very much look forward to coming back.

Every single staff member is incredibly kind! I'm blown away by how nice and caring they are here. Also very knowledgeable, helpful and they explain everything clearly. Believe it or not, I no longer dread going to the dentist since I started going here.

Pros: staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also do wonderful work and appointments are punctual. The buildings for both practices are beautiful and state-of-the-art. Cons: every single bill we've had for the past 6 years needed to be checked, called, and corrected -to the point it seemed suspicious. We were mislead quite a few times on extra charges that were not necessary regarding the most expensive x-rays, doctor visits, etc. Every appointment felt like we were getting swindled and pressured with regard to paying for extra services -the practice is gorgeous, but they nickel and dime for everything. Ask questions always and check your bills. We liked both practices for the most part, but got sick of having to check/correct bills and we also didn't care for feeling pressured and misled.

Wonderfully professional staff: front office, scheduling, billing, as well as techs and doctors; everyone does their job flawlessly. The environment provides privacy and their treatment approach serves to keep you as informed and anxiety free as possible. Plus the outcome was excellent; I couldn't be more pleased with the result .

This office is great! I felt like I was at a spa. It's super clean. Staff are efficient and concise. Alex was my hygienists and he explained everything and was gentle and friendly. Check in and out was easy. No services were pushed on me. Def going to continue coming here!

I hate the dentist and usually avoid it. Now that I have good dental insurance I decided to take control of my dental health and get back on track. Drake dental has been wonderful! They make you feel so comfortable, the free nitrous doesn't hurt either but everyone I've met in the office has been so kind and comforting I really couldn't ask for a better experience. Plus it's gorgeous in there highly recommended

WORST experience at a dentist ever! I'd have rated a ZERO if that were an option. I have anxiety about going to the dentist anyway. But my visit after the Covid hysteria, I was made to feel like I, indeed, had Covid (or leprosy!) with their UNFRIENDLY, regimented, calculated, and very cold procedures ordering me to go and do precisely as directed. Condescendingly correcting me when I, unknowingly, did something or didn't do something according to their protocol. No personableness. No warmth. Just another "Covid risk" moving along their new mechanical system. I felt more like a thing to be inspected than a human being. Keeping Covid at bay is the new top priority. Not people. Anyone else see the irony here?

So refreshing to finally find a dentist who cares about ensuring they are doing the best job possible and not just upselling you on unnecessary procedures. This dentist is top knotch!

I've been going to Drake Dental for about 4 years now and they are amazing! I hadn't gone to a dentist in 6-7 years due to anxiety and Drake Dental took away all my fears. Everyone there is always friendly and helpful in explaining all procedures. They always take the time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. I can finally say I love going to the dentist.

I had to get a filling and had anxiety about it, but the assistant, Kelli, made sure I was taken care of while Dr.Vandenburgh completed the filling. The procedure was swift, and I didn't feel any pain. Also, this dental office is extremely nice and clean. I would 100% recommend this to people.

Drake Dental has amazing staff who are compassionate and motivated to give the best care they can. They have been amazing with my husband as he has had to have numerous procedures. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

After yet another great experience from visiting Drake Dental, I figure it's time I finally write a review about this wonderful office!...My family of 4 have been patients at Drake dental for the past 4 years. Their staff is very welcoming and kind. Our kids have had fillings done and the staff has been great at soothing their anxiety and getting the procedure done in a timely manner. We've seen all 3 doctors multiple times over the years and they're all very knowledgeable & professional. We are always impressed with the care we receive each visit. We highly recommend this dentist office!

I am a new patient here. My first visit was my post-COVID cleaning, 12 months overdue. The staff was amazingly friendly and put me at ease. In less than 48 hours, my teeth were clean ("look Mom, no cavities!"), my front chipped tooth was repaired, and I had new night-time retainers in my hands. I recommend you support this business.
