Visits and services were always 5 stars in the past Last visit I got some filings, and they didnt stay in properly. When i called the first time they told me I'd have to repay to get them redone. So naturally that made me leave them as my go to dental place. Its crazy that I have to repay due to them not placing the caps in right. I'm in my early 20s i cant afford to keep paying due to them not getting it right the first time. Finally there phone service is terrible... most of the time it goes to voice-mail, you can text the number but you'll never get a reply, and obviously you never get a return call.

Pros: staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also do wonderful work and appointments are punctual. The buildings for both practices are beautiful and state-of-the-art. Cons: every single bill we've had for the past 6 years needed to be checked, called, and corrected -to the point it seemed suspicious. We were mislead quite a few times on extra charges that were not necessary regarding the most expensive x-rays, doctor visits, etc. Every appointment felt like we were getting swindled and pressured with regard to paying for extra services -the practice is gorgeous, but they nickel and dime for everything. Ask questions always and check your bills. We liked both practices for the most part, but got sick of having to check/correct bills and we also didn't care for feeling pressured and misled.

Soo before my appointment in January I had a cleaning and all that jazz and found I had a cavity with a tooth I never had trouble. I take good care of my teeth and all that jazz. Anyhow my insurance covered most of it so I scheduled it.. Supposed to be done in September and went out to Jan cause I had COVID and then went to March. Whatever.. Anyhow I pay my portion and go on. Well when I had my cleaning in Jan thay became.a huge ordeal because they couldn't find my dental insurance. Well my hr had a not so nice conversation with him as well as my self.and they were harassing me for 3 weeks after. Got resolved and taken care of..March came and I had my cavity. Well they rushed through it because they were running behind and let me tell you it hurt. Well it was immediately throbbing after and I couldn't chew on my left side. I called over six times to get it re checked and they would tell me they would call me back and never did. So I decided screw it ai am changing dentist and switched.. anyhow for my next cleaning it will take until July and mg family goes in at rosewood in June..but my tooth was still throbbing cause headaches and enabling me to eat certain things..I did go in this week as a new patient with less.tjan 24 hour notice at my.dentist and they tell me my last two cavities, only ones I ever had were messed up. A gap I did not have is open and they did not fill in the tooth all the way and are still sending me a bill from my cavity where I paid into it in 2021 and are telling me i need to pay the new amount for 2022 even though they rescheduled me 6 months out and took my money. Since then I have had friends switch and my whole family has.. do not go there. They are money hungry and incompetent. They even dragged there feet sending my releases. Rosewood Dental is awesome!!

I went to Drake's dental for a cleaning and to get cavities filled. While I was in the chair the dentist made an appointment for me the following day of which I said I was unsure if I'd be able to make so I didn't want to schedule. The dentist said I could just cancel the appointment if I was unable to make it. Cool. Went back to work and ended up in a Teams meeting until the day ended. I called Drake's Dental first thing in the morning to cancel but I was informed it was too late and is need to fork over $100 for a missed appointment that I never scheduled myself. So I won't be paying it and I've already found a new dentist. Cool staff but super shady and expensive practices.

My family have been patients at Drake dental for years. The care has been outstanding. The office is inviting and the front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I have had the privilege of meeting each of the Drs over the years and they are all fantastic, but Dr. Khagney has been our primary dentist and she is truly outstanding. If you are looking for a new Dental home I would strongly suggest Drake Dental.

I hadn't been to the dentist in so long and was so embarrassed when a broken tooth left me in a lot of pain-but everyone here was so kind and professional, my anxiety melted away. I was able to get the tooth extracted the same day. I highly recommend this hygienic, professional office.

I'm a Double Lung Transplant Survior and fairly new to Kalamazoo and I've been looking for a Dentist for the past several months. Drake Dental was highly recommended by a friend of mine. In late February I finally broke down and called to schedule an appointment. After giving them my information, I mentioned to them that I am a Lung Transplant patient which requires me to take pre meds before I could get my teeth cleaned. They also mentioned that I needed to get a pre authorization from my Dr. before my visit. I called my Dr and asked if he could give the ok to have my teeth cleaned. I gave him the fax number and he said I'll take care of it. I know that my dental care has been neglected, I did only the traditional things like brushing and using mouthwash. My teeth and gums are in bad shape because in 2012, I lost a good friend who also had a Lung transplant and all his teeth romoved and put vaneers in and about a month after all his teeth were pulled he passed away. Since this occurred I refused to attend a Dentist. My appointment was on March 2nd, as soon as I walked in I didn't feel comfortable, nothing was said or done to me directly, I just wasn't getting good vibes. They took x-rays of my mouth and they preceeded to explain the wrong things with my mouth. They didn't do a cleaning because they needed to get the ok from my Dr. I didn't tell them this was already faxed back to your office by this point I just wanted to get out of there. I was told by them that they will contact my Dr and get the ok to have my teeth cleaned and they would let me know so I could come back to have my teeth cleaned and continue my exam. As of May 11th, I haven't heard from them about my follow-up visit but they did call me several times about paying a bill that should have been covered by my insurance. My company switched insurance carriers and I didn't get the memo until I contacted my insurance provider and was informed about the change effective March 1st, so I called Drake Dental and gave them my updated insurance information. My point is they can call me several times in back to back day about paying my bill. Since March 2nd, I didn't receive 1 phone call regarding my follow-up teeth cleaning. I found another Dentist and just from the scheduling department, it already sounds better than Drake Dental.

I was aggressively forced to use hand sanitizer after walking in. I explained it burns my hands. "Uh bruh, just use the hand sanitizer" she said. Then I was talked into getting a crown on my tooth with minimal decay. Now I can barely drink room temperature water due to severe temperature sensitivity causing pain. They now want to charge me over a $1,000 to have a root canal on the tooth. This place just wants to continue to do unnecessary procedures to keep charging you. I will be going somewhere else from now on. Avoid this place like the plague.

Drake dental is the best dentist I've ever been to! Andrea is the best cleaner I've ever had she never once hurt my teeth or gums which is always my top concern. I also had to get my first filling here and they made it go incredibly smooth! Even though I'm out of state now I'd definitely go back if I'm ever visiting again!

If you have good insurance, be prepared for them to tell you that you need multiple teeth filled and several other expensive procedures. If you disagree, they will tell you that you don't need a 2nd opinion and will try to bully and scare you into agreeing with them. Purchasing products that they sell will also be pushed upon you, as well as getting other cosmetic procedures done. So, if you fancy sitting in the dental chair on a regular basis, exhausting all of your dental insurance and opening up your wallet, then this is the place for you.

I question the ethics of this office. Their billing practices are not centered around preventative care but rather the most efficient way they can charge you more. They have an extensive waiting list but when you cancel an appt hours after the cancellation window hits, they happily charge you for not being able to make the appointment. I appreciated the health care I received here but the billing process is horrific.

Great experience from check-in to check-out. Went in for a teeth cleaning and Dawn was the best, gentle, steady hands, and great at informing me of what's going on and future stuff that could effect my teeth. I didn't get the "up sale guilt trip" from the Doctor, me was respectful of my lack of financial backing and explained what was needed. Then at check-out they were great at working with me get get squared up and out the door with a clean smile on my face.
