Ruskin,Dr. Vejayan Krishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin are talented and trusted oral surgeons serving the Greater Farmington, Brighton and Canton areas of Michigan. Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. William Ruskin, Dr. VejayanKrishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. William Ruskin, Dr. VejayanKrishnan and Dr. Aaron Ruskin practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant procedures and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery and cosmetic surgery. They can also diagnose and manage diseases of the face and jaws.
The surgical staff at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of Michigan are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. The administrative personnel are well-versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified. Our staff is trained in assisting with I.V. anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

Dr. William J. Ruskin is a graduate of the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He served in the Air Force for two years after graduation and then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including St. John Providence, St. Mary Mercy, and Huron Valley-Sinai.
Dr. Vejayan Krishnan received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Krishnan was most recently Chief of the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local Michigan hospitals including Henry Ford, Huron Valley-Sinai, St. Mary Mercy, and St. Johns Providence. He is American Board certified in his specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Aaron Ruskin is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He began his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training with an internship at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He then completed his training through the St. John Hospital and Medical Center and Childrens Hospital of Michigan (Detroit). He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including St. John Providence, Childrens Hospital of Detroit, St. Mary Mercy, and Huron Valley-Sinai. He is currently chief of the division of oral and maxillofacial surgery at St John Providence Hospital in Southfield and Novi. He is American Board certified in is specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Zaid W. Abu-Seir (Dr. Z) is an honor graduate of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. He then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Education at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Abu-Seir then completed his Residency Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery through Wayne State University School of Medicine: at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Childrens Hospital of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospitals and St. Johns Medical Center. He is well trained and experienced in the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is on staff at local hospitals including Childrens Hospital of Michigan, Beaumont Hospital Troy, St. John Medical Center and Providence Hospitals, Detroit Receiving Hospital and Henry Ford Hospitals. He is American Board Certified in his specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

My son had his 4 wisdom teeth out yesterday with Dr Aaron Ruskin. His assistant was warm and welcoming! He was amazing and took great care of my son! Now I have had 2 kids he has done surgery on! I would highly recommend him for any procedure!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Aaron Ruskin at the Brighton location. I was a little bit nervous since I'm 26 years old and I have heard it's better to get them out at a younger age. I've also heard lots of horror stories from this procedure. However I think Dr. Ruskin and his staff did a wonderful job. Beth and Cierra/Sierra (I could be butchering their names) but whoever was helping the doctor were amazing. Everyone involved made everything extremely relaxing and were very professional. I had my procedure done yesterday morning and so far I haven't had any complications. I highly recommend this place if you want a quick and easy removal.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted in one visit. From the very beginning with my initial phone call to set up first , to the very last check up one week post-op, I was treated with a lot of respect and care. Dr. Ruskin took his time walking me through the procedure and answering any questions I had. His staff was also very helpful in working with my busy work schedule and accommodated me whenever possible. I'm over 30 years old, so I was really afraid of getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled at the same time, but Dr. Ruskin was amazing. I felt some slight pain, but experienced very little swelling and quick healing. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars for this office to be completely honest.

I feel I'm being generous leaving one star, as a former employee I feel like I need to inform people as to what goes on while they come for surgery, the employees are just rude to patients, while a patient is suppose to trust and rely on the doctors and staff while being "put under"/sedated, I will have you know your not.... while you are sleeping you are being made fun of, talked very poorly about, being mocked and the staff is wanting you out of their office as soon as possible so they can leave!!!!! Im not making this up, I was not fired I chose to leave this negitive office on my own, I have found a much better, caring office where we respect patients and you truly are appreciated and cared for! I can't tell anybody where to go but if you want to be laughed at, made fun of, mocked, rushed, not cared for and disrespected this office is for you!!!

I personally thought he was very rude. I haven't seen him but once and the first thing he said to me was "how long have you been smoking meth?" Now call me crazy but I'm pretty sure I know what I've been putting in my body a little better then a "doctor" whose only met me once. He was rude beginning to end. He had an attitude the whole time which surprises me because I WAS a paying customer. Sometimes only being good at your job isn't enough. Treating people like they're human no matter who they are is very important, something Dr Ruskin wasn't taught in school apparently. You expect your doctor to be kind and calming, especially if you're about to get your wisdom teeth pulled but instead I felt embarrassed and honestly ashamed that I even let him work on me after being treated the way I was.
