Dr. William P. Muldoon is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Davidson College and received his DDS from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He served on the US Navy Dental Corp for three years and then completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He has been in private practice in the Charlotte are since 1989.

In addition to dental training, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons must also complete at least 4 years of intensive hospital-based surgical residency training. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons also have a thorough and comprehensive training in the adminstration of anesthesia, and may therefore, perform procedures with the use of nitrous oxide, intravenous sedation or general anesthesia.
