Following graduation, Dr. Morang studied anatomical sciences at the University of Georgia. During that time, he had the opportunity to assist his father, Dr. James Morang (a recently retired orthodontist of 40 years) with charity dental work at the Athens Nurses Clinic. Dr. Morang also traveled with his father on numerous mission trips to Nicaragua, Peru, and Mexico, where they provided dental work. These experiences ultimately inspired Dr. Morang to pursue a career in the dental field.
An avid sailor, Dr. Morang then went on to manage a junior sailing program in Annapolis, Maryland, for two years before attending dental school in 2008. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2012.
Dr. Morang is a member of the American Dental Association and is the current president of the Clarke County Dental Society.He has worked as a dentist in the Athens area since graduation from dental school.Dr. Morang is experienced in providing everything from basic preventative dental care to cosmetic rehabilitation.He is committed to providing custom, caring dental services to his patients.
Terri graduated from Dekalb Community College in 1980 with a Health Science degree and as aRegistered Dental Hygienist. She has worked in the Dental field for over 40 years as a Dental Hygienist,Clinical Director and Practice Administrator. Volunteering in the Dental Field both locally and abroadhas been a privilege and highlight over the years.
Terri is a native of Atlanta, GA and currently resides in Hart County with her husband, Fred. She has twogrown children. One living in Charlotte, NC and one in Hartwell, GA. She has one granddaughter, EllieClark. Ellie Clark prompts many weekend trips to Charlotte. She enjoys the farm life setting: cats, dogs,gardening and her 4 chickens.
Rachael graduated in 2009 from Gwinnett Technical College as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant. With11 years of experience in Dentistry both clinical and front office, she is very knowledgeable in assistingyou with your dental health.
Rachael calls Monroe home with her husband, Austin, daughter, Ansley and dog son Walker. Outside ofthe office you can find her riding horses, camping, antiquing and going on adventures with her family.
Meet Lisia, our business agent who will greet you as you come through the door! She comes to Dr.Morang with 2 years dental experience both in the front office and in dental assisting.Lisa resides in Madison County with her husband, Mitch and their Chihuahua, Poquito Mocha.
Meet Michelle, one of our dental hygienists. Michelle graduated from Lanier Technical Institute. Shehas been in this practice for 27 years and with Dr. Morang for 6 years. Patients say she has a gentle butthorough approach, treating every patient with the utmost care.
Michelle is a native of Oconee County, where she met and married her high school sweetheart 27 yearsago, Jake. They now reside in Athens with their 3 cats, Liberty, Sunny and Lenny and their dog, Opal.She enjoys camping, hiking, standup paddle boarding, as well as gardening & cooking. She loveschocolate, wine and good times with friends and family. Most weekends you will find her at their cabinin Western North Carolina or hiking with her dog, Opal.
Meet Lindy, our other dental hygienist. Lindy graduated from Macon State College. She has been in this practice for nineteen years and with Dr. Morang for sixyears. Lindy is a very caring person with a big heart. She enjoys patients of all ages.
Lindy was born in North Carolina, but now resides in Madison County with her husband Brian and their two sons Colton and Cody. She also has two step children Austin and Ashley. She enjoys camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She attends Hull Baptist Church.
Meet Amanda, one of our Dental Hygienists. Amanda graduated from Athens Technical College in 2015.She has been practicing for 5 years and with Dr. Morang for three years. Amanda is committed tomaking sure all of her patients feel comfortable in her chair and treating them with the best care.Amanda is a native of Madison County and currently resides in Oglethorpe County with her husband,Will, and son, Liam. She enjoys traveling, shopping, Georgia football and spending time with her family.
Jessica is an expanded duties dental assistant. She started her Dental career in2002 and hasbeen taking excellent care of Dr. Morangs patients since 2015. Her favorite things to do on the job aretalking and getting to know patients, assuring great work and calming those who may be anxious abouttheir treatment.
Mackenzie is an expanded duties dental assistant. She obtained her associates degree in Health Scienceand an Expanded Duty Dental Certificate from Future Dental Assistants of Atlanta. She graduated inJanuary of 2020 and has been assisting along side Dr. Morang since May 2020.Mackenzie enjoys family time and doing almost anything outdoors.
