Dr. William Kapgan grew up in Los Angeles. He attended UCLA and received a degree in physiology. He then went on to dental school at University of Pacific in San Francisco. After dental school, Dr. Kapgan did a general practice residency in Minneapolis, MN then an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in University of Connecticut. After this, Dr. Kapgan completed a 4 year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Kapgan is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Kapgan's priority is patient safety and comfort. He will always take the time fully explain procedures and options that are available.
I would like to personally thank Dr. Kapgan and his his entire Dental Staff for truly making my Dental Experience a Great one!!! He took away all of my Dental Anxieties, and helped me to relax while I was having my Wisdom Teeth surgically removed!!!! I would 'HIGHLY'recommend Dr. Kapgan if you are looking for someone who is Super Knowledgeable, Experienced, Gentle To The Touch, Patient, and someone who truly understand how having Wisdom Teeth Surgically Removed Can be a very scary and uncomfortable feeling. So Dr. Kapgan definitely comes Highly Recommended!!!
OMG! I was so nervous because I had a few bad experiences with Oral Surgeons. Dr. Kapgan is one of the best. He knows what he is doing. He talk me through everything he was doing. He made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. The staff is amazing very kind and professional. All I can is don't deprive your self of the best dental care. I will use him for all my dental needs.
Very professional, warm, and courteous staff! I received my first oral surgery today and Dr. Kapgan made the experience really soothing and erased any anxiety that I was having. Would highly recommend!
Was very pleased to get some old cracked fillings repaired here. Office staff very efficient and considerate, got me in to see the dentist promptly. Dr. Plavnik had great demeanor and was quick, competent and caring. New office and equipment seemed very modern - dentist was able to show me my x-rays and pictures of my teeth from the dentist chair. Having seen some very poor dentists elsewhere my visit here was a breath of fresh air. Convenient location at corner of Terrell Mill and Powers Ferry (though since Marietta added a center median and no U-Turn sign on Terrell Mill it's harder to get into coming from the west, watch out).
I cant say enough positive things about Dr. Plavnik, Dr. Kapgan and theirs staff at the Dental World of Marietta! They are professional, yet personable and really care about my health and happiness. Working with them is always a pleasant experience! They are great about working with my busy schedule and they always follow up with sincerity and thoughtfulness after my procedures. I greatly recommend Dental World of Marietta!
My first experience with this office. I liked the staff, the office, modern equipment . Doctor was very thorough. She found a small problem that needs to be crowned. Will definitely fix this problem in Dr. Plavnik office.

I would put SIX stars if I could. We've been patients of Dr. Kapgan for years and have had good experience. Today was my first visit to Dental World's new facility. OMG, it's soooo beautiful. Dr. Kapgan promptly and painlessly(!) took care of my issue. I am very impressed that Dr. Kapgan called me in the evening to make sure I was doing OK after today's procedure. I am happy we found Dental World and Dr. Kapgan - now our family's dental needs are in good hands. Thank you Dr. Kapgan, you are the best!

I had a wonderful experience in Dr. Kapgan's office. First, he extracted my broken and decayed molar tooth. Then he put in bone graft material. And finally after several months, he inserted the tooth implant. Every time the procedure was pain free and very efficient. Dr. Kapgan and his staff made me feel welcome, safe and comfortable at all times! I've now had the implant for 2 years and it feel like my own tooth -- no issues at all. I have recommended Dr. Kapgan and will continue to recommend him to everyone I know (my mom had two implants down with him and is so happy)!

Never had a complication. He and his wife, Dr. Plavnik are a great team. She has a great eye and hand for dental aesthetics and is also a great dentist. I highly recommend their services. Have a great experience with Dr. Kapgan. He installed 2 implants for me 2 year ago and is currently working on another set. He also had to extract decaying tooth and cut the old bridge to make space for implants. No pain on all of these pretty serious procedures. His office staff is polite and efficient. Would recommend to friends and family.

This was my second time in a 5 year span of getting a tooth extraction. Dr Kapgan and his team were very good and it was an easy procedure for me. He made me feel comfortable and the extraction was definitely painless. Great Dentist!

Had to get one of my wisdom teeth removed due it cracking and causing intense pain. Scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kapgan, everything when fine. I went home & thought I was bleeding more than normal, but the office was closing soon. I gave them a call and he waited 30 minutes past closing (had to drive through traffic) to make sure everything was okay. I really appreciated it.

Very law level of professionalism, old technologies, not appropriate attitude to the patients. i had very bad experience with his implant work. When I came to his office to ask him to correct his mistake he refused even to talk to me.
