I love going to my dentist Dr. Cowan is amazing and knows what he's doing, when ever I go there they are all very nice and great staff!! I will not go to any other dentist!!

I have to agree with Jeff Grass' review below. He must of been new when I first went to him years and years ago, because his attitude has changed DRASTICALLY and he seems very arrogant now, like customers need him, more then he needs customers. After doing cosmetic dental work, which wasn't what I expected (getting front teeth filled in to square them off) He redid and it looked SIGHTLY better but it still wasn't satisfactory and he didn't seem to care as he abruptly pushed his chair back and just left the room and in said in a very snar attitude, the first way looked better-VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! It's not your teeth, but mine. Shouldn't I care what looks better for me then you? Even his dental assistant, said the 2nd way looked much better after he left the room. Lose the arrogance, and care more about your clients concern, then your ego. The only great think about this office, was the front staff was extremely nice, but unfortunately they aren't the ones working on my teeth. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this dentist!!! If you notice most of his reviews are from years and years ago before the arrogance kicked in.

Simply the best!! From the front desk, (Jessica & Hope), to the dental hygienist, (Brittney) to the dentist, (Dr. Cowan)! This office has 100% of my confidence. Definitely recommend.

This is one of the friendliest, and professional Doctor's offices I have ever been too. They know your name and your family and care about you as a patient. The dental work is always extremely well done. They make you feel like a family member when you visit. I have lived all over the country and have had some good dental care, but none even compares to how good Dr. Cowan is. His staff is extremely well trained.

Dr. Cowan is by far the best dentist I have ever seen. I started seeing him for some dental work when I lived in Tampa, and when I recently retired I moved to Dunnellon (about 100 miles north of Tampa). I still make the drive from Dunnellon to Dr. Cowan's office for my appointments. I cannot imagine ever going to another dentist. I had a crown placed today and could not be happier with the end result. His hygienists, front desk professionals, and assistants are all great. I am a patient for life.

Love Dr.Cowan and his staff! They always get me right with little to no wait, and provide great service. Highly recommend this dental office! New great location (16680 N Dale Mabry Hwy), same great people! :) P.S. - Don't listen to this Jeff Grass guy below...Someone needs to get him a Care Bear. He doesn't appear to be getting the "care" he needs in life...

Having neglected my teeth for a few years, I needed a new dentist quick, as I just moved to the Tampa area, and I lost a filling, leaving a large hole in my upper right molar. I was referred to Dr. Cowan, by a good family friend. I just finished my second appointment today, where I got my temporary crown done, my first appointment was xrays, and a thorough cleaning. My experience with the office staff was excellent. They have the covid situation down, took my temp, as I arrived, filled out a simple form, basically saying I didn't have symptoms of covid. During my initial appointment, the office staff did not push, or try to sell me on a lot of unnecessary dental work, but rather laid out a very competent plan, including my new crown, that was the pressing issue, as well as went over all the costs involved, which was very reasonable. They went the extra mile, and extended my crown appointment , with no hassle, so that 8 could secure new dental insurance, to offset my costs. Fast forward to my appointment today. It was for 10:00 am. I was brought back at 9:58am, which is a very important point, as the dentist is stressful, you def don't want to wait an extra half hour to an hour, to be brought back. The staff in the back, the assistants and Dr Cowen were awesome, from start to finish, and worked as a team, one cohesive unit. They told me what to expect, what the stages were in getting my crown accomplished, and how long each stage would take. Each part was accomplished, as explained, and I think done to perfection. Dr Cowen is a machine, and certainly made an unpleasant procedure, no problem. My mouth was numbed properly, so that I didn't experience any pain at all,,,none.....you can certainly tell he is super skilled, and didn't leave me in the chair, for one extra minute...the hole in my mouth, was not small, or minor, his part of the drilling, and making the mold for my temp crown, Imyhink only took about 20 minutes. The assistants finished up in a timely manner, and took great care with me, as I have neck issues, and siting in the chair itself, reclined, was the toughest part for me. I am a busy person, as are most people I'm not a big review guy, but when I returned home, I really wanted to spend a few minutes, to thank them for an excellent job, as I really appreciate everything they did for me. No one asked me to write this review, I don't know anyone personally in the office, I am a 100 percent new patient, and this review is 100 percent accurate. If you are reading this, and need a dentist, you have certainly found the right office. You won't be disappointed, and I hope this helps. I will use Dr Cowen for as long as I am in Tampa, he is an excellent dentist, knows his stuff for sure . Great office.

Front desk staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Dr Cowan is only in it for the money and doesn't care or take into consideration for what the patient wants and asks for. I will never go back here again and already made a formal complaint to m insurance company. Thanks for leaving me in pain and not caring

I have been seeing Dr. Cowan since I was a teen and trust him completely. He and his team always make you feel comfortable and welcome & make sure you understand all options and costs. Dr. Cowan & his hygienists all have a gentle touch. Debbie is amazing and even held my hand through a procedure when I was very nervous. Keagan is a perfectionist and does a masterful job fitting trays and making crowns in the office. Selfishly, I dread the day Dr. C retires! Highly recommend.

Dr Coward is Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde! I did my research and read positive reviews before deciding to go with this office. 1st visit he was extremely polite as he criticized Dr Williams implant that he had to fix. I had a new flipper made it was perfect and purchased a teeth whitening system in preparation for my permanent crown. He won me over with his consultation. I returned for both me and my son cleanings. Fast forward..I returned to have a flipper replaced being I am unable to have the $3000 work completed for my crown. The hygienist making the new flipper seemed like a student and I knew we would have problems but I allowed her to do her job..I return and as I expect the work was amateur. The tooth was wide amd not the size of my original tooth. Let me add this is my FRONT tooth so extremely noticeable! She made it over and I return today. It looked nice and they fixed the wide uneven tooth but it was uncomfortable. I provided feedback which was my bottom tooth was hitting the back of the flipper..she defended and gave every reason why? The 1st flipper made fit perfect why was this any different..Only difference was the person making it..Dr Coward came and evaluated the flipper and too was defensive. He told me they had spent too much time and repeated many times it would not be perfect and he could give me my money back and I could leave!!! He repeated I can give you your money back rudely! He clearly had no interest in customer satisfaction. I responded I didnt want a refund I needed the flipper. He was very clear he had no intentions of fixing the mistakes. Stay clear if you want what you pay for done right bc this Dr is satisfied with giving sub par work...1st sign he was Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde was my last cleaning.. I truly thought It was a dentist filling in. He was not the friendly Dr he protrayed. I honestly thought this isnt the same guy..his entire mood and demeanor was dark... between seeing patience he sits in his office in the dark...weido! If you want comfort and quality and not just appearance DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! He actually had the nerve when he finally stopped arguing and file the tooth down to ask was it still hitting the bottom teeth. Why ask when you have told me if it doesnt you arent doing anything except give me a refund make me mad and kick me out! I saved myself the frustration didn't answer and walked out! POOR SERVICE AT ITS HIGHEST! APPALLED...BEWARE!

I am updating my review. I have been coming here for years now. The doctor has done a good job of picking staff. They are very competent, friendly, and professional. They do not seem to have much turnover either. The atmosphere is relaxed and I am always called by name and treated with respect and kindness. Dr. Cowen is gentle and does things right the first time. Keagan has fitted me twice for a crown. Best attention to a crown fitting I have ever had. I know they will be comfortable, strong, and look good upon completion. Tatiana does my cleanings and they don't hurt and she is pleasant. I miss Ashley but I am satisfied with Tatiana's cleanings. Note: I am not anxious in a dentist chair. I have to tell myself to relax because it is always hard to have people in your space. Origianal review: Friendly and professional. Especially like the hygienist, Ashley!
