Dr. Waschak loves working with children, and his dental specialization reflects that: he has completed an additional four years of education and training to earn diplomas from both the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Orthodontics. This means he has the expertise and experience to care for your childs dental health from their infancy until they become an adult. Our staff is likewise highly trained to help your children feel at ease with a variety of behavior management techniques.
Dr. Waschak received his DDS (that makes him a Doctor of Dental Surgery) with distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry in 2003. He went on to complete his combined residency in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry at the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2006 before opening his practice in Grants Pass. This rigorous program trained him to provide complete dental care for kids, addressing active oral disease as well as occlusal and skeletal abnormalities. Completion of the residency program earned him certificates in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics: Dr. Waschak holds diplomas from both the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Waschak hasnt rested on his laurels, either! He stays involved in the dental community by maintaining active memberships in the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Rogue Valley Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontics, American Board of Orthodontics, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Waschak didnt get his start in dentistry, though! No, his love of solid structure had him start out as an engineer, earning a BS in Engineering with high honors from California State University, Northridge and a MS in Structural Engineering from CSUN as well. After working nearly 9 years as a structural engineer, he decided to switch career paths and encourage Grants Pass kids to have healthy teeth instead! Hes been educating and treating children for over a decade since, and this focus means that he and his staff are kid-friendly and prepared to help your child be comfortable at the dentist. Dr. Waschaks office employs a range of behavior management techniques from telling and showing to general anesthesia. Hes the premier dentist for children in Southern Oregon!
Dr. Waschak isnt always on the job in his white coat, of course when hes not having fun fixing teeth, you can usually find him appreciating all the beauty that Grants Pass and the Oregon outdoors have to offer all from the seat of his mountain bike. He also really enjoys celebrating all those special occasions life has to offer with his large extended family.

Kayla is one of our Dental Assistants and sterile tech. She makes sure all of our instruments/tools are clean and sterilized properly as well as assists Dr. Waschak! She has been with Dr. Waschak for over 3 years, prior to becoming a dental assistant she worked for the school district for 6 years. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her girlfriend and two fur babies. They enjoy trips to the dunes, camping, and time with their friends and family. I believe that you should make your life a masterpiece. Imagine no limitations on what you can be, have or do. What motivates her the most is knowing that she is helping kids be pain free, teaching them how to maintain healthy oral hygiene, and showing them that the dental doesnt have to be a scary place to be!
Elizabeth has been in the dental field for 5 years and recently started working with children and has two small athletic boys of her own. They all enjoy the outdoors, animals and everything that Grants Pass has to offer. Working with a kind and gentle staff means a lot to her and she is looking forward to an exciting future in pediatric dentistry.

Amazing Dentist, team, environment and office! All around 5 Stars! They take the Patient Experience seriously and go out of their way to make it amazing and easy from start to finish! Wouldn't trust my daughter with anyone else, Dr. Waschak is incredible!

Was told that I could not cancel my two sons appts within 48 hrs as I had a work emergency and was out of town, or they'd charge me $100. Absolutely ridiculous. I will be taking their care elsewhere.

The office is very welcoming and comfortable. I came in with my 6 year old son and newborn baby, we were well accommodated. The visit went smoothly and Dr. Waschak was very friendly and informative of my son's treatment plan. We had a great experience overall and would very much recommend his office for anyone seeking pediatric ortho care

Removed three loose teeth, without consent from either me or my son, and then billed us $170 per extraction. The teeth were loose already, and were going to fall out naturally any day. This was medically unnecessary, traumatic to my son (as he didn't know what was happening), and possibly fraudulent. My son was shaken by the experience. When confronted with the bill, they refused to budge on the charge as "it was a procedure that was performed". Avoid this dentist office if you care about your children or your money.

We love dr waschak so much! He's so kind and caring with all three of my kiddos! But more than that he's so knowledgeable and so informed about our youngest's health condition and how it might affect his dental health and walks along side us to accommodate for his diagnosis'. He's done such a great job with our oldest needing braces for her jaw issues! He has been so kind and gentle explaining everything to her so she has less anxiety about it all!

My two year old son needed oral surgery this morning and Dr. Waschak was so kind and caring and made me ( a very very nervous mom) feel so comfortable about my son having surgery. The staff is amazing here, we originally only came to have the surgery done by them but have now fully switched all of our dental needs to Dr. Waschak's practice. Thank you for taking such good care of my little boy.

I was recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Every appointment Dr.Waschak has been to thorough to answer all questions. The environment is calm and relaxing. Before Covid they kept the kids engaged with toys so they were kept busy. They always ensure both my kids feel comfortable with what is going on and don't get irritated or make my kids uncomfortable when they start to get nervous like we experienced elsewhere. Have a really cute welcome package, and coin for a treat at the end! Fun things for kids. But most importantly for parents--theyre available, affordable, and respectful. Daughter had a dental emergency and Dr Waschak answered all questions after hours and he was still so welcoming and friendly! We drive from Medford to come here because we couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Always recommend to friends having new littles.
