I feel like being an orthodontist is the best job in the world. I get to work with people who care about their health and want to be their best. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with patients and helping them achieve their goal of a great smile that will be a powerful asset their entire life. I never get tired of seeing the delight in the eyes of patients when their braces come off and they see their new smile for the first time.

Orthodontic treatment had a profound effect on me as a youth. I became interested in orthodontics when a family friend invited my sister and I to be his patients in his orthodontic specialty training at Northwest University Dental School in Chicago. My orthodontic care was a transforming experience for me and my self-confidence. I was fascinated by all aspects of my treatment and I decided at the age of 12 to make orthodontics my career. My enthusiasm for the profession and what a difference it can make for people motivated me to do my very best in the 11 years of college that were required.

Research and technology in orthodontics is ongoing and progressing rapidly. From advanced 3D imaging to 3D printing and clear aligners, I incorporate the very best into my practice to improve my patients outcomes, make treatment more efficient, and increase their comfort along the way.

We have five boys and two girls, all grown and married, as well as ten grandchildren. With all the varied interests, family reunions are a blast! We like to sing, watch classic movies, cook, eat, and play games together. When Kimella and I have free time, we like to go to square dances and travel to visit family.

My commitment to the Freeport and Monroe communities is just as strong as my commitment to my profession. I am actively involved with the Freeport Rotary Club as President, Boy Scouts of America (past Scoutmaster), and the Church of Jesus Christ.

I have two children: a girl and a boy. I enjoy spending time with them and watching my son play basketball. We also have a goldendoodle named Oliver that is a bundle of fuzzy joy! I enjoy staying active with HITT workouts, CrossFit, playing pickle ball, and riding my bike.

Im the very first person that patients see when they come to Walker Orthodontics. While I have several task to do during the day, I feel my most important role is making sure our patients feel welcome in the office and comfortable knowing they are going to be taken care of. I absolutely love getting to know my patients and working with such a fun group of people. Its a lot of fun to see the transformation that orthodontics can do!

My husband Kevin and I have one daughter who we absolutely adore; she is our whole world. My husband and I love to take vacations where its nice and warm. We have a UTV that gets a lot of use when weather permits. Im very involved in my daughters school, our church, and community functions.

I joined Dr. Walkers office in 2006, where I feel like part of a very special family. Dr. Walker and our staff come together every day with one mission in mind: providing the absolute best care for our patients. I enjoy working with each person individually to offer advice and education about how to care for their braces and teeth throughout their treatment. The best part of my job is seeing all the happy smiles!

My husband and I moved back to area in 2006, just after I graduated from cosmetology school. I was looking for a job and was lucky that Dr. Walker was hiring and chose me to be a part of his team! Since then, my husband and I have had one daughter, Maddyx, who is currently in orthodontic treatment!

Youll meet me in the clinic area, where Ive been assisting Dr. Walker doing a variety of procedures since 2020. I also handle different lab work, including fabricating the retainer youll wear when treatment is finished. I love watching peoples self-esteem develop as they see their appearance change and am eager to see how you become happier and more confident.

I began my dental career in 1987, starting in general dentistry and transitioning to orthodontics when joining Dr. Walkers team in 2018. Ill make sure youre comfortable in the chair and explain what well be doing during each adjustment. While your finished smile is going to be wonderful, Im just as excited to learn about your life and become your friend!
