Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Amy was born and raised in Michigan. Amy has been in San Diego most of her adult life. She has worked in the dental field for 10 years. She is very dedicated to helping our patients in any way possible and she takes pride in her work. In her free time Amy enjoys being with her family, friends, kayaking, and spending time at the beach.
Joseph started in the dental field 7 years ago as a file clerk. After meeting Dr. Cavan, he was inspired to become a Dental Assistant. He was been with Dr. Cavan since the office opened. Patients love Josephs charm and pleasant personality. He is hardworking, great chair-side manner, and he is great with kids! When he is free, he loves to ride his bike and explore San Diego.
Sylvia was born in San Diego, CA. She has been in the dental field for 8 years. She is bilingual and very personable. She attended UEI College in 2006, and graduated as a Dental Assistant. When she is not a work, she enjoys camping, going to the beach, watching movies, spending time with friends. Most of all, she really enjoys being with her family.

Doctor Vivian Cavan's office and staff were super amazing!!! I would recommend this dental clinic for anyone to join this wonderful team! Being from the military and referred off base I didn't know what to think, but as soon as I walked into the office, the front desk staff were so professional and welcoming, the waiting room was extremely clean, the administration team was proficient and organized! Dr. Cavan was so kind hearted, warm, friendly, and welcoming! The hygienist took X-rays and my teeth cleaning went so smoothly! During my procedure Dr. Cavan was so professional and was a complete expert, I didn't feel any pain and she was so gentle! It was literally the best dental experience I've ever had! Thank you Dr. Cavan and staff!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Where to begin? Immediately walking in I was greeted by the most friendly and professional staff. The lobby was clean calming making you feel very relaxed going into your appt. Dr. Cavan was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! She was very excited to see me and was very gentle through my exam and cleaning. She fixed two of my cavities, and gave me the best teeth whitening experience of my life!!! I don't know how she did it or has such an amazing staff in a beautiful office but thank you so much again Dr. Cavan!!! See you next time!

The receptionist are very welcoming and knowledgeable. Dr. Cavan was very gentle and explained the procedures to my daughter to where she was comfortable and willing to have the work performed. Then Dr. Cavan even went as far to call the next day to check in with my daughter to be sure she wasn't experiencing any further pain or discomfort. We are pleased with the outcome.

I've had healthy teeth and been told by previous dentists that my enamel was strong. I moved to chula vista and needed a cleaning and some documents signed for the military. I booked an appt because they were in network and had an availability that worked for me. After an appt that involved minimal cleaning, i was told i needed 6 fillings, wisdom teeth removal (all 4), and 3 quadrants of deep cleaning. I was having ZERO pain, so thought this was fishy. The icing on the cake? She was going to refuse to sign off on my form until I had the work done. I got a second opinion from my previous dentist, even though she wasnt in network. I only had ONE cavity worth filling and had extremely healthy gums. Unless you want to be sell a kidney to pay for teeth that dont need fixing, find another dentist.

I should have wrote this review a few years ago but every time I go to a dentist I remember what a bad experience I had at here office. Money money that's what it's all about. to make a vary long story short every time i needed a crown she would say that she need to do gum shorting and she called it a surgery and would of course charge me over $300 more to do that. after a a couple of times I said let me get a second opinion so I went down the street to another dentist and they said that I had plenty of space for the crown and did not need any gum shorting. I don't know how some people sleep at night!!!

I just wanted to take the time to thank Dr. Vivian Cavan and her staff. Every aspect of her office came with professionalism and genuine concern for the patient. I had a number of questions regarding insurance companies and coverages. Amy, at the front counter, was extremely polite and helpful with providing me with several plans and printouts of what the insurance would cover and my remaining expenses. During my initial visit, Dr. Cavan set up a dental plan to take care of all my dental needs. This plan was flexible and spread out to allow me comfortable payment options. I am completely satisfied with the treatment and the service I have received. I would recommend Dr. Cavan to anyone.

I have been to several dentist and always dreaded the visit. I have had many bad experiences but from my first visit to Dr. Cavan's office my fears have been put to rest. Her and her staff are very accommodating to help you feel comfortable. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Vivian K. Cavan is one of the most knowledgeable and honest dentist I have met. I went to her to get a second opinion regarding my wisdom tooth. I was concerned because the other dentist, prior to Dr. Cavan told me that I need to take out my wisdom tooth. I was concerned because my wisdom tooth is not hurting and I clean/brush it throughly everyday (3 x a day). Dr. Cavan then carefully check my tooth and examined the x-ray. After talking to her and listening to her explanation. I know that she is very knowledgeable and more importantly, "honest" in her work. In addition to her honesty and expertise, Dr. Cavan and her crew are very hospitable. They welcome you to their facility and made sure you are comfortable and taking care of. In fact, one of her assistant (Sylvia) regularly asked how am I doing and offered me some water while waiting for my appointment. P.S. I'm glad I went to Dr. Cavan for a second opinion. Now, I saved some money and PAIN from not getting my wisdom tooth remove.

Absolutely love Dr. Cavan and her staff. I have been going to their office for the last 4 years now and I have not one single complaint. They do great business and they also have a family feel whenever I come for an appointment. Amy, the office manager, is always very helpful and accommodating when it comes to billing. Joey, the dental assistant, is very skilled and knowledgable. If you are ever in the San Diego/Chula Vista area stop by and they will not disappoint.
