Dr. Joseph Mess is a native of Columbus, Ohio and the community of Clintonville, in particular. He attended St. Charles Preparatory High School and completed his bachelor and doctorate degrees at The Ohio State University where he was recognized for his achievements by the Board of Trustees and the American Dental Education Association.
Following dental school, Dr. Mess completed his specialty training at Saint Louis University where he graduated first in his class earning both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Orthodontics. While in St. Louis, he worked as a general dentist and completed a fellowship program at the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Institute at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Dr. Mess has been voted as a Top Dentist by his peers since 2014. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and Great Lakes Society of Orthodontists. He is also a member of many leading dental organizations including the Columbus Dental Society and the American and Ohio Dental Associations. He currently resides in Columbus with his wife and children.
