Dr. Vaughn Brummer grew up in Corrales, New Mexico and moved with his family to South Carolina during his high school years. He graduated with honors from North Augusta High School in 1992 and was awarded a National Merit Scholarship to Baylor University. He graduated from Baylor in 1996 with a Bachelors degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then was accepted into Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and license to practice dentistry in 2001. During his doctoral training, he was a member of the Odontological Honor Society. After receiving his doctorate, Dr. Brummer was accepted into the highly competitive Baylor College of Dentistry Pediatric Residency Program. He completed his residency training in pediatrics in 2003. Also in 2003, Dr. Brummer joined Dr. Randy Travis' pediatric dental practice in Madisonville, Kentucky and together they practiced as Travis & Brummer Pediatric Dentistry. In 2020, Brummer Pediatric Dentistry was announced and continues to proudly serve Madisonville and the Hopkins County area, as well as many surrounding communities. Dr. Brummer is accomplished in all areas of dentistry including interceptive orthodontic diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Brummer is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He keeps up to date with new dental techniques through his affiliations with the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the West Central Kentucky Dental Society. He lectures on various topics in pediatric dentistry to a wide range of audiences, and conducts continuing education seminars at various levels.
Dr. Brummer has also held offices in several dental organizations, most notably he has served as President and Vice President of the West Central Kentucky Dental Society, as well as the Childrens Dental Health Month Chairperson.
Dr. Brummer and his wife, Suzanne, live in Madisonville, Kentucky. They have three children, Aidan, Chase, and Paige. Suzanne works for the dental practice fulfilling office accounting duties. Together the Brummer family enjoys traveling, sporting events, and music. Ask Dr. Brummer to play the guitar or piano for you!

Couldn't ask for a better dentist for my children. All of the staff is friendly and patient with the children. He is very informative and sweet to the kids. Won't take my kids anywhere else!

My little ones have had nothing but great care. Sure, my daughter hates going to the dentist, but they are very professional and try to calm her as much as possible. My son laughs through cleanings. Differences in personalities. As far as I'm concerned, Travis & Brummer are awesome doctors and I wouldn't take my children anywhere else!

loved them at first but theres a specific girl at the front desk whos very rude. and they scheduled an afternoon cleaning for my son today. i left work two hours early and drove an hour to get there. they inform me my child shouldnt be seen in the afteenoon because medixaid patients are taken in the morning then aftee being so rude anout an error they made i was told thier computer didnt have thier new insurance so he still couldnt be seen today because of a computer error. i am out gas, time, pay, and my son still hasnt had a cleaning

They gave my child Valium and still strapped my child down. He is still petrified to this day
