Every patient is different and deserves a unique treatment plan that achieves their best smile: efficiently and comfortably, with stable, beautiful results. I strive to attain perfect results teeth that are straight, healthy, and properly positioned by designing an individual care plan for each person.
I personally check every patients progress at each visit. This ensures I am on top of all aspects of their treatment, down to the smallest detail, as well as affording time for my patient, their family, and me to talk. Open and direct communication keeps us all on track and ensures patients complete treatment on time, with the best smiles!
One of the best things about being an orthodontist, I believe, is the opportunity to spend time with and share in the lives of children and adults. I love watching each person change and grow throughout treatment. As they see the changes in their appearance, they become more confident and outgoing. This is true of my youngest patients and those who are older: each persons self-esteem blossoms and, by the end of treatment, they are transformed!
Dr. Ulla Crouse grew up in Mikkeli, Finland, and obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Kuopio, Finland. She came to the United States in 1996 for her graduate studies at the University of Kentucky. There she completed a Doctorate in Physiology and her Certificate in Orthodontics.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Crouse is a part-time faculty member in the University of Michigans Department of Orthodontics. This position keeps her on top of the latest developments in orthodontic research and enables her to exchange opinions and ideas with colleagues.
Through these organizations, Dr. Crouse has access to conferences, seminars, lectures, and other year-round opportunities to further expand her knowledge. By staying current on technological innovations, new methodologies, and emerging trends, she is able to incorporate those proven safe and effective into patient care.
Dr. Crouse is an active supporter of the VINA Community Dental Center of Livingston County. The VINA clinic provides underserved members of the Livingston County community with affordable access to quality dental care and dental education.
She is also an active member and volunteer with the Finnish Center Association of Michigan. The FCAs mission is to promote and preserve Finnish culture and to support social and educational activities in the state. Additionally, Dr. Crouse supports numerous local school programs.
Beyond that, they are friendly, kind, and welcoming. They share my belief in providing personalized care, in a comfortable and supportive environment, and building trusting relationships with each patient and their family.
While I am new to the Brighton Orthodontics team, Ive worked in dentistry for the past 18 years. During that time, Ive gained a lot of experience in the running of front offices and keeping all the cogs moving. Part of this is thanks to my great organizational skills! I enjoy using my strengths to help all the wonderful people here make a difference in our patients lives.
I treasure our patients and love watching each persons transformation! Ive worked with Dr. Crouse since 2013, assisting her with procedures including applying and removing archwires and bonding and debonding. I also teach our patients about oral hygiene and encourage them to keep their mouth clean during treatment, so their new smile is beautiful and healthy.
Family keeps me on the go when Im not at Brighton Orthodontics. My husband Ryan and I have five kids, plus a rescue pup named Maggie. We always enjoy being outside together, whether were kayaking, camping, swimming at the beach, or hanging out at home and making dinner on the grill.
We are committed to providing the highest quality clinical care and personalized service in a warm and compassionate atmosphere. Our doctor and staff enjoy getting to know each patient and their families, and love creating relationships that last multiple generations.
