Dr. Tyler Garrett and his family are so excited to be living in Flagstaff, AZ. Dr. Garrett and his wonderful wife, Whitney, have three great kids; Sage, Cole, and Branch. Dr. Garrett graduated from the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ in 2013.
Upon earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, he began an 8-year career in the United States Air Force reaching the rank of Major. During his years in the US Air Force, Dr. Garrett and his family were stationed in Georgia, Hawaii, and in North Dakota where he served as the 5th Operational Medicine Readiness Squadrons Dental Flight Commander.
Dr. Garrett has continued his training by attending multiple advanced dental education classes. These include courses and hands on training in oral surgery, same-day digital dentistry, and TMJ/Jaw disorders.
Dr. Garrett believes in giving back to the community. He has participated in multiple community dental events and humanitarian trips. He has been able to provide these services in downtown Phoenix, Tijuana, Mexico, and on the Pacific island of Vanuatu.
A graduate of Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2013. He has spent the past 8 years practicing dentistry in the United States Air Force. Now he is here, in Flagstaff, and thrilled to be joining the Oasis Dental Care family.
He has been married to his beautiful wife, Whitney, for the past 14 years. They have three children ages 10, 6, and 3. They are wonderful kids and are also thrilled to be here. They love being outdoors in the mountains and pines. Whether that is camping, hiking, or driving around to see new places, they are so excited to be a part of this community.
Shelly moved to Flagstaff from the Bay Area a year ago to be closer to her family. Most of her time is spent with her three daughters, husband, and family. Two of her daughters are in college here in Arizona. She enjoys interior design, hiking in Sedona, yoga, and any kind of active workout.
She believes in providing long-term education on prevention, disease, and health management. She has a passion for the industry and loves to help her patients. In her spare time, she likes to hike, mountain bike, and hang with family and friends.
Ronda started with Oasis Dental in January 2021. She has over 25 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She spent the first 10 years of her career working with several Periodontists focusing on treating Periodontal Disease, then shifted her focus to general practices that specialize in cosmetic and complex dentistry.
A Georgia native, she earned her degree from Clayton State College and University. She has advanced training in Comprehensive Dental Hygiene at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and is a certified soft tissue Dental Laser Therapist. She is also a member of the AAOSH-American Academy for Oral Systemic Health.
Ronda has a passion for professional and personal growth and prides herself on being gentle and thorough in her patient care. In her free time, Ronda is running, camping, traveling, and sharing life with her husband, Dan, where they make spending time in nature a priority.
She is currently taking prerequisites for the Dental Hygiene Program at NAU. Cathleen enjoys cooking spicy Mexican dishes & baking sweet sensations. She spends her time helping with her grandparents farm and livestock in Northern Arizona. She also loves sewing, crafting, and exploring great Northern Arizona with her little family. Cathleen is very enthusiastic about the dental field and loves helping her patients achieve and maintain great oral health.
She has been in Flagstaff for over 20 years. She began her journey in the medical field in 2012 as a CNA/Caregiver, then moved on to dentistry in 2019. Maria is the proud mother of 1, her goal in life is to ensure her 10-year-old old son Domingo has the life he deserves. She is also a dog mom to a 5-year-old husky Luna. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
Alex moved to Flagstaff around seven months ago from northern NY. She likes hiking, camping, and any outdoor activities. Alex also enjoys reading books in her free time. She is studying psychology at UMGC and loves helping people in any way she can.

Also, know as 3D X-rays, CT scans improve our ability to diagnose and treat patients by allowing full visualization of anatomical structures. They require substantially less radiation than medical CT scans and are safer. Utilizing this technology, were able to digitally plan and place dental implants with safety and precision.
At our practice we virtually place dental implants on a computer prior to placing them in the patients mouth. We merge the CBCT and oral scanner data to plan out the case in advance. That data is transferred to a custom surgical guide which allows dental implants to be placed to a very high degree of accuracy. This method is also much easier and safer than the traditional free-handed method.
For root canal therapy, we use a rotary file system and a special motor that adapts to control forces in the canals during treatment. This makes the procedure easier, so it can be done in less time, and safer.

We have small, intra-oral cameras in every treatment room. This allows patients to see what we can see! This is great for explaining the need for procedures and building trust. We also use a professional grade camera for more complicated cases that require more explanation an discussion.
We have an intraoral scanner to take digital impressions. This allows us to bypass the traditional messy and not so tasty impressions taken with alginate and PVS materials. This also allows us to get a beautiful and professionally made crown back from the lab faster for you!
When recommending treatment, we want our patients to understand why. We always take the time to explain what is needed, why, all of the options, and the risks of delaying treatment. We make use of pictures, high quality educational videos, and brochures to take home.
