Dr. Viktoria 'Torie' Cox certainly brings a refreshing artistic flare to dentistry. It is apparent that she puts so much love into her practice from the comfort of the waiting room, to the warmth and genuine kindness she shows each and every patient. Dr. Torie truly treats the 'whole person'.
Dr. Torie is a Munster High School graduate. She attended St. Mary's of Notre Dame for undergraduate studies and received her Doctoral Degree in Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2008.
There are several things that set Dr. Torie apart from other dental practitioners in Northwest Indiana. She is the premier 'Green' dentist in the region. The practice uses biodegradeable disposable products whenever possible. They also reduce the amount of waste we throw away by participating in a recycling program through Orthodontic Specialists.
Dr. Torie also takes a 'holistic' approach to dentistry, in that she treats the 'whole person' and understands there is a systemic connection between the mouth and the rest of the body for overall wellness. Dr. Torie offers fluoride free options for patients who do not prefer it. She is also committed to prevention education for patients to benefit oral health and wellness.
When Dr. Torie is not fighting cavities as a dental super hero, she enjoys attending continuing education courses, seeing music shows and antiquing with her husband Tony and playing with her puppy Homer.
Carolyn graduated from Indiana University Northwest Hygiene School in 2005. In her thirteen years practicing hygiene in Northwest Indiana, she has most enjoyed working with a wide variety of patients. She focuses on a 'holistic' approach to hygiene in which she views the mouth as a window to the overall wellness of the whole person. Carolyn is also committed to educating patients about their dental hygiene and encouraging healthy habits. She has introduced the practice to many cutting edge products and loves to contact suppliers for samples of new and innovative products.
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys exercise, running and biking. She keeps herself busy with her family of three children, Seth, Tristen and Payton and she enjoys seeing live music and sampling local microbrews with her husband Chris.
Stormy Garber is Dr. Torie's Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA). She has been with the practice since September 2016. Stormy earned her certificate in Dental Assisting from Everest College and received her EFDA Certification through Dr. Williamson's program in 2011.
Stormy is Dr. Torie's right-hand gal during all of her dental procedures. She loves being a part of the restorative team and working along side Dr. Torie to improve patients' smiles. Stormy also works very hard to keep our office organized, she manages the sterilization and is great at educating interns that come to work with the office.
Jamie is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. She attended Bishop Noll Institute and graduated in 2003 from Purdue University with a Bachelors Degree in English Literature. She returned to The Region to pursue a career in dental practice management, which she has been learning and growing in doing ever since! She has a true passion for helping people and enjoys creating relationships with patients.
Since 2014 Jamie has held the title of President of POWER OM Dental, a local chapter of the American Association of Dental Office Management. She enjoys learning about all things dental and management, and works to educate herself and other eager practice managers to keep updated on the newest ideas, technology, and treatment.
Jamie lives in Dyer with her husband Gavin and their two beautiful children, Jocelyn and Declan. In her free time she enjoys playing outside, reading, attending concerts and spending time with family and friends.

I've been a patient of Dr. Torie since she opened Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe. While the practice has grown over the years, one thing hasn't changed: the shoppe's professionalism and commitment to their patients. Dr. Torie is always extremely thorough and explains everything. I never feel rushed during my appointment with her, and I know I can trust her. Carolyn, one of the hygienists, is a true gem. She is kind, gentle, and always makes me feel at ease. Jamie is a total rockstar and is SO helpful with scheduling and billing. There's no other practice I'd trust as much as Dr. Torie's Dental Shoppe.

Thank you so much to Dr. Torie and her fabulous staff! It's so worth my hour long drive to come see them. I have had many bad experiences with dentists and am so grateful to have found one I trust with a conservative approach. I even had to bring my newborn with to my last appointment and all the staff were SO AMAZING with him! I was relieved that they didn't mind holding him when he was fussy, and even Dr. Torie had fun holding him which warmed my heart! So nice to be able to get something done for myself and actually feel good about going to the dentist. Thank you ladies so much for your fantastic care to all your patients!

Dr. Torie and her entire staff are a wonderful group of people who not only strive for an amazing, positive office experience, but also truly care for their patients. My last exam was great, on time, and positive experience from start to finish. When I had an emergency, her staff was thoughtful and attentive to my needs and came to a solution immediately. Dr. Torrie's is the best. My 2 and 4 year old love going to the dentist because they are so fun and make them feel comfortable. I've had a lot of work done as well, She was able to fill a large cavity that I was sure would need a crown and given me advice on how to take car of my teeth better that no other dentist educated me on. Her staff is so nice and goes out of their way to make sure we're well taken care of. I started going, but now my kids, husband, parents, and my sister's family all go too!

Dr. Torrie's is the best. My 2 and 4 year old love going to the dentist because they are so fun and make them feel comfortable. I've been seeing Dr. Torie for close to 10 years and was thrilled when I found out she opened her own practice closer to me in Schererville. I was driving over a half hour to see her before in Crown Point, worth it though because she's such a good dentist. Awesome staff as well, highly recommend!!!
