In 1999, Dr. Tom Holt graduated from the Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska; and then moved to Coos Bay, taking over the well-respected practice of Dr. John Muenchrath. Dr. Holt immediately became a leader in the local dental community, serving two terms as both President of the Southwestern Oregon Dental Society and as trustee to the Oregon Dental Association. Dr. Holt is involved in community programs such as Ready to Smile and Neighborhood Dentist, which foster partnerships between dental professionals, schools, non-profits, and local government agencies to provide increased care for children throughout Coos County.
Dr. Tom Holt genuinely cares about his patients, which is obvious from the very first visit. Dr. Holt takes the time to get to know and understand his patients, letting them explain their past experiences, their current needs, and their future expectations. He also takes the time to ensure that his patients truly understand their options when it comes to achieving their dental health goals as well as their functional and cosmetic goals.
Dr. Tom Holt grew up in Las Vegas. Needless to say, he has fallen in love with the natural beauty, mild climate, and adventure of the Southern Oregon Coast. He even likes the rain! He and his wife have three beautiful children who share in his passion for adventure and exploration. Together they surf, cycle, and quest for the perfect toasted marshmallow. Dr. Holt also enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, and participating in triathlons. He is involved in theater, having performed in Bandon Playhouse productions ofCamelot,A Midsummer Nights Dream,andOklahoma!

I used to be scared of the dentist... Not anymore because of Dr. Holt and his amazing team. Best in town. Dr. Holt is a kind, caring, honest, hardworking individual. He does great work as well! If you want to go to someone who REALLY CARES, look no further.

Love my hygienist and all the work she does. Takes excellent care of my mouth/teeth. Careful and patient. Not thrilled about the front desk individual. Seems rude and pushy could be a lot nicer or have better attitude as she only has to deal with someone 5 minutes max I would assume. Would be nice if the dentist was able to do exam after my cleanings but he never seems to be around so I have to schedule specific appointments just for that. I don't understand why and the front desk was no help in answering that question and seemed extremely bothered by my question and responded poorly and louder than necessary. Felt like I was being yelled/shouted at as if I had done something wrong. I do look forward to seeing the dentist as he always does a wonderful job as well, I just wish there was someone else working the front desk

I never had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Holt! Had my teeth cleaned by a wonderful hygienist- very professional, gentle and efficient! I canceled all my future appointments with Dr. Holt as his receptionist was so rude and absolutely not who should be at the frontline of any business! She was horrible and demeaning! It is sad that I had to go out of network to find the whole package in dental care! How dare she!! Why is she still in that position????

Dr holt is my all time favorite dentist! so kind, just awesome!! my anxiety is not nearly as bad having him as my dentist for 6 + yrs now. his office gal liz on the other hand is one of the rudest ppl I've ever had to talk to. it makes me feel so uncomfortable, I don't even wanna call my own dentist!! reading the reviews, I'm obviously not the only one who has has this experience. I wish he would take a look at his reviews, & maybe find someone more appropriate for that position!!.

I would gladly give Holt 6 stars the guy is great as well as all staff in back. However LIZ is quite possibly one of the rudest people I have had the displeasure of speaking with. I can only assume she is related to Holt or she would have lost her job by now. Every single interaction with this woman has been her being a nasty person for no other reason than to just do it. I don't need to describe her if you go here you know who I am talking about. If your a new patient you will discover very quickly who she is. Just look for the person that talks down to you as if your garbage.

Dr.Holt He is the kindest most professional dentest I have ever encountered in my 42 years of life. He put my husband (who is a big baby ) at ease. I highly recommend Dr. HOLT. You will not find anyone as kind and gentle in the area. I assume his kindness and compassion is why this lady in front still has a job... The lady I am referring to sits behind the desk just behind the front counter

Awesome service from the dentist and the staff other than the front desk gal by the name of Lizz. Very rude and unprofessional. Every time I have to speak with her she has a very demeanding and aggressive attitude. I work in Healthcare and understand the pressures and demand it brings. Her behavior makes a 5 star go to a 3 souly because her attitude.

The girl at front desk named Liz is very very rude, I think the office would be much better off without her. I worked in medical field and I don't remember it being ok to be rude to patients.

This is an amazing Dentistry there is plenty of magazines and books, and the kids get a little toy once there done. Now it has been a little difficult in the past but over all I'm very impressed.

I have a large family and accommodating them can be difficult. I have tried to get all of my children's appointments on the same day for my own personal ease, but was told that would be too difficult. Today I was asked to not bring all of my children as they take up too much space in the lobby. Only seeing two at a time requires multiple times of the waiting room being full of the rest of us, and others will be there as well since there is obviously room for more appointments. When I replied what else can I do I was told to use a babysitter. So, now not only do I have to cramp more than one day I need to arrange for and pay for a babysitter... Had a nice conversation after posting the above. Dr. Holt has promised to do his best to get them all in on one day.

Nagging toothache, called Dr. Holt, received immediate appointment and competent care from him and Rick. He gave me conservative advice as to how to fix it without leaping to expensive procedures and the pain was gone in a day or two. This office has taken care of me every since Dr. Holt arrived here and I have never been disappointed.

Very comfortable. He waa gentle ans caring about pulling my tooth. Definitly knew what he was doinng and cared as well. I would recommend him for someone if any age, including children .
