Dr. David Todds office of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and facial structures. Our practice provides a variety of services for both adults and children. Dr. Todd has specialized training in implant procedures, oral pathology, oral infections, exodontia (extractions), managing impacted teeth, bone and soft tissue grafting and anesthesia techniques. Dr. Todd has served patients in Chautauqua County for more than 25 years.
Our office aims to create the best patient experience possible, and has years of expertise, experience and professional service. Different oral procedures require different types of anesthesia, and we provide local anesthesia, oral sedation, intravenous sedation (state of deep relaxation), and general anesthesia (sleep). Several choices of anesthesia are available to eliminate apprehension and to provide greater patient comfort. Our staff is well trained and experienced in providing care for our patients. We have four assistants with anesthesia training and two registered nurses.
Dr. David Todd received his undergraduate Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemical Engineering while studying at Purdue University. He is a dental school graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, as well as a medical school graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine.
Dr. Todd also received his residency training in oral and maxillofacial (jaw) surgery at the University of Connecticut before becoming board-certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
He has served as an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he also served as co-chair of section IV. He has also served on the Parameter of Care Committee and Subcommittee of Anesthesia, and as chairman on the Committee for Anesthesia.
In addition to his roles in national organizations, he has served on the Board of New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has served as its president. Dr. Todd is the founder and the leader of the local SPEAR Study Club.
Married with four children, Dr. Todd is a resident of the Jamestown, NY area. His practice is located on Southwestern Drive, in Lakewood, NY. Dr. Todd enjoys sailing and boating on Chautauqua Lake and enjoys the programming at Chautauqua Institution.
Lori is certified in ACLS, PALS and AAOMS Anesthesia Assisting, and is a valuable part of the staff at Dr. Todds office. As implant coordinator, Lori also facilitates all aspects of implant treatment for our patients and referring offices. She has extensive experience and knowledge in implant dentistry and advises on all steps of the implant process.
Mary E. Brooks is a nurse anesthetist, and provides general anesthesia services to our patients as needed. She began working with Dr. Todds practice in 1999. She has enjoyed working with Dr. Todd and his staff to provide a pleasant and safe general anesthesia experience for his patients. She is a careful and caring practitioner.
A registered nurse since 1976, Mary began her nursing career upon graduating from Jamestown Community College with an associate degree in nursing and completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992. After working ICU, surgery, and teaching practical nursing locally, Mary returned to school to receive her Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia at the University of Buffalo in 1998.
A board certified nurse anesthetist, she has enjoyed practicing anesthesia in several local settings, WCA, Olean General Hospital, Brooks Memorial Hospital, and Westfield Memorial Hospital. She is licensed in New York State.

Dr. Todd's office is always polite and professional. I understood clearly what the procedure would entail and what my care instructions were. Stacey also followed up with a call the next day. This is my second implant through Dr. Todd's office. Obviously you can see that I have complete faith in their care.

So kind and accommodating. I was a bit nervous, and they were able to give me a mild relaxant to help calm me. The procedure for extraction and implant was Quick, efficient and not terribly uncomfortable. In and out in just over an hour.

I had a tooth with long curved roots which needed to be extracted. It was a difficult extraction because my tooth was obviously determined to stay right there in my jaw! Was that a problem for DrTodd? ABSOLUTELY NOT. With his usual confident demeanor, he worked expertly to remove that tooth with no problem. I did not have one moment of discomfort or pain.. I am at home following my postoperative instructions. I am SO PLEASED that I had such an easy time with that tooth extraction! Kudos to Dr. Todd for such an expert job!

Felt compelled to leave a positive note years later to show how one good medical experience can positively impact a person. I had an absolutely terrible fear of teeth, nightmares all the time, etc, obviously dreaded my wisdom teeth removal. This office was so caring (they even put me out while they prepped so I didn't have to sit and worry) and this surgery went so well with so few issues in recovery, that now my tooth-related fears and nightmares are mostly gone. I feel lucky to have had Dr. Todd and his team as my wisdom teeth surgeons. Thanks y'all!!

Dr. Todd and his staff did a phenomenal job with my wisdom teeth removal. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a welcoming staff who kindly checked me in and got the ball rolling. The wait time in the lobby was minimal, the procedure went quickly and perfectly. The recovery was amazing, such minimal discomfort and almost no swelling. I felt comfortable going home immediately after this procedure. Dr. Todd and his staff were the most professional, caring, kind and knowledgeable staff I had been to. This experience was wonderful and I will recommend this facility until I am blue in the face.

I definitely recommend this oral surgeon! I have been scared to get my wisdom teeth out for years and I am so glad I went to Dr. Todd and his crew for this surgery. The staff was so kind and caring, they made me feel very comfortable there. It was a very smooth process and the surgery was less than an hour. I got my wisdom teeth out Friday, and I can say I have very minimal pain. The worst part is probably not being able to eat haha!! I definitely recommend Dr. Todd to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth removed!!

Passionate and professional care all the way around. Been here three times now and more visits to come to complete implant process. You can tell that the entire staff truly cares and takes pride in their work. Would highly reccomend to anyone and excellent to have this level of care close to home!

My son's girlfriend recommended Dr. Todd for his wisdom teeth extraction and what a great suggestion it was! Dr. Todd and his entire staff were very professional, attentive and kind. They went over the post surgery checklist thoroughly and answered all my questions with a smile. They joked with me and my son while he was still "goofy" from the anesthesia and were genuinely concerned about his well being all the way to helping him into the car. They even called later in the day to make sure my son was doing okay. I would highly recommend Dr. Todd and his staff to anyone in need of oral surgery.

I was super anxious about my appointment for wisdom teeth removal, the entire staff at this office makes you feel comfortable and assures that you are in great hands! i been to 2 dentists so far aspen in lakewood which sucks and dr menoff. they sed my teeth r bad and my gums and none wil giv me invisalign i want or not even braces. can u help?
