Aurora Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is dedicated to providing a consistent and comforting dental home for children. We believe in patient education and cavity prevention at an early age with the goal to develop and maintain a lifelong healthy smile.
Aurora Smiles Pediatric Dentistry strives to maintain a warm, community pediatric dental practice with its foundation firmly based in modern evidence-based dentistry for all children and young adults. Our approach is designed to guide your children in a proper, dental-friendly direction for a lifetime of oral health.
Dr. Toby, as he is known to child patients and their parents, is a board-certified pediatric dentist who practiced as an associate for six years within a group practice in Orchard Park NY. He is also a pediatric dental practitioner with the Seneca Nation of Indians in the Allegany and Cattaraugus territories.
Dr. Toby was born and raised in Camden, a small town in Central New York. He attended SUNY Geneseo where he received his BS in Biology, and where he met his future wife Autumn, a Buffalo native. They settled in Buffalo where Dr. Toby completed his DDS degree at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, with a residency at Buffalo General Hospital and pediatric dental training at Women and Childrens Hospital of Buffalo.
Dr. Helen Dusel and her husband, Andy, are the proud parents of three fun and energetic children and one lovable fur baby! Dr. Helen loves spending quality time with her children in the outdoors, going for hikes, and exploring mother nature.
Dr. Helen graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. She then completed her pediatric dental residency with the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Helen is also a Board Diplomate in Pediatric Dentistry, demonstrating highest level of knowledge in the field of pediatric dentistry. Dr. Helen is affiliated with Oshei Childrens Hospital in Buffalo, NY.

I was very nervous for my son, who is generally apprehensive about a lot of things, to go to the dentist for the first time. The staff and doctor were absolutely amazing and my son did wonderful! We can't wait to go back for his next appointment!! Highly recommend!!

We were referred to Dr Toby from a different dentist a couple years ago to address a cavity that my then 5 year old had. She (and I) was instantly won over by the inviting atmosphere, the staff, and Dr Toby. We had such a wonderful experience that I transferred all of my 3 littler ones there. After her visit, she was given tokens for being a good patient and carried them everywhere telling everyone the story of her visit. She was especially taken with the decor (wall stickers of various Disney characters) and always gives Baymax a tap on her way to a room. When my 2 other littles had their first appointment, their names were written on paper stars and tacked to a board in front of the entrance. That made them feel really special with excited cries of "that's ME!" They're always excited about appointments now and as soon as they're done, they ask when they can come back. The hygienist makes them feel really comfortable and Dr Toby explains everything he does before he does it. He talks directly to them instead of the parent which I love because it helps keep them calm. My kids can ask questions, they get to see the tools and how they work, and they love choosing flavors and smells for various procedures (they have a lot more options than the average dentist). The only bummer is that by the time I knew about this wonderful little place my oldest daughter had already aged out so she still thinks dentist visits are boring and tedious. Lol

This office is exceptional. The staff was kind, and attentive to detail. The moment we walked in the door I felt like my daughter was being made to feel special, and not just another patient. You can tell they are experts in this field. Toddlers can be very unpredictable, and the staff was willing to go with the flow and remain calm all while completely the task of the exam. Highly recommended!

Dr. Toby Corcoran has been caring for my children's dental needs for the better half of 5 years now. He does so well with children (mine, currently the ages of 8 and 10). He has preformed dental check ups as well as repairs, including fillings, caps, and repairing the mistakes of another pediatric dentist, that my children saw when Dr. Corcoran has left Western New York Dental Group, in Orchard Park. Needless to say, we sought out Dr. Corcoran's current practice and moved our business back to him. His secretary staff was very pleasant as well as the rest of his staff.

Dr. Toby and his staff are AMAZING!! We switched from another practice due to some issues and Dr. Toby took care of my daughter right away. I am so beyond happy with the way he treats my daughters and how comfortable he makes them! I highly recommend!

The best dentist you can get if you need work done for ur teeth. Makes you feel comfortable, and explains everything in terms you understand. His office staff. Really great as well. Works to get you in fast and helps get you transportion. Thank you Dr Tobbey and ur amazing staff. Mel

I had been dreading the first dentist visit with my toddler, but needn't have worried! It was such a pleasant experience for the whole family. Dr. Toby was engaging, confident, and respectful of my son. Jennifer was warm, gentle during the cleaning and quick with her work. Melanie was accommodating to our scheduling needs and understanding when a nap caused us to push back the appt a couple hours (so glad they had an opening!) I wholeheartedly recommend this practice and will be bringing my kids here until they outgrow it.

My 4 year old daughter had 3 appointments and some pretty serious work done. They were so kind and made a positive atmosphere to alleviate her fears. The Dentist was very efficient, realistic and knowledgable. My daughter wasn't afraid to go back and was actually excited. Highly recommend.

When you are so impressed with a place you leave a review before you even leave. They did an amazing job !! Dr. Toby and his entire staff were wonderful with my 7 and 5 year old. They were kind, encouraging, thoughtful, and exceeded my expectations. I hope that more parents have the opportunity to have such a positive dental experience for their children!! Dental work can be scary but with this I feel like my children will have a way better perspective!!
