Dr. Tisha C. Rekhi, DDS

7935 216th St SW, Edmonds, WA 98026

Every day, I see how dentistry can improve a persons life. By restoring oral health and creating a beautiful smile, dentists change a persons self-esteem and boost their confidence. After treatment, patients smile more often and without worry about their appearance, feeling happier about themselves.

Dentistry is a great profession. Working with a patient to help them achieve their goals, I am along for the ride. Together, we find the care approach that works for their needs. While there are basic procedures, each patient and each tooth presents unique challenges. I constantly have to think, strategize, and assess what is the right technique for that person.

Serving a diverse population gives me insight and better understanding of many cultures and how each views the importance of dental care. Its a great feeling to build trust with a patient and see them transform from someone who neglects their teeth and oral health to someone who cherishes their smile and works hard to preserve it.

My team is my family. They are an amazing group of hardworking professionals dedicated to making each patients experience safe, comfortable, and fun. Sometimes a patient is fearful: our team ensures that person is listened to, respected, and supported from the minute they arrive to when they leave. Providing exceptional care is a group effort and I am fortunate to have the best team around! Most of our team members have worked together for at least 5 years if not 10 or more. The chemistry built over the course of time and the ease at which we deliver high quality care for you is unsurpassed.

My Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) was awarded by theUniversity of Missouri at Kansas City. That education provided an excellent foundational understanding of dentistry. However, this is a constantly evolving field and I must stay on top of those changes in order to offer the best care to patients.

I participate in lectures and hands-on continuing education, far surpassing the annual requirements. I also participate in local dental society meetings and am an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.

I grew up in Seattle and Kenmore, WA and moved back to the area as soon as I graduated from dental school. My family and I now live in my hometown of Kenmore. My wife and I married in October 2013. We have been blessed with two wonderful sons. Gagan was born in March 2015 and Preet was welcomed to our family in August 2017. We also share a basenji/terrier mix rescue dog, Grover, with my parents.

When Im not working Im with my wife and boys. Family time is essential to me, whether were boating, in the garden, or taking care of projects at the office or home. We also love to travel and look forward to road trips around the Pacific Northwest as our sons grow.

I have many passions relating to my career, and my own personal goals, but the best passion is my family. The boys havebecome the focal point in my life: its been an amazing journey to become a father and grows better and better with each passing day.

Some of my greatest joy comes from being able to help patients who are fearful of the dentist or embarrassed about their smile, and often times both. Working together, we overcome what is holding them back and allow them to live life to the fullest. In dentistry and in life, I believe in looking to the future and making the most of what one has.

As a teenager, I underwent extensive orthodontic treatment and jaw surgery to correct severely crowded and misaligned teeth. This experience had such an impact on all parts of my life that I decided I wanted to help others realize how life-changing a healthy smile can be. Ive been practicing since 2004; dentistry has allowed me to achieve self-confidence and that has opened doors and made it possible to pursue opportunities I might otherwise not have.

I love interacting with people. Our patients become part of my extended family and its a privilege to be part of so many lives. I love seeing the excitement and joy in a patient as they hit major milestones, whether thats starting Kindergarten, graduating from college, getting married, or welcoming a new child. I share in each patients happiness.

Our team members are like family. We genuinely care about each other and our patients. Each is compassionate, gentle, and truly works to help every patient have their best experience possible. They make our patients laugh and make coming to the dentist a fun and enjoyable thing!

I hold a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from theUniversity of Western Ontario, in Canada. Since graduation, Ive constantly pursued continuing dental education. Im always looking for educational opportunities that allow me to provide patients with the most up-to-date and comprehensive care.

I grew up in Windsor in Ontario, Canada. I moved to Kenmore, WA, a couple years ago when I married my wonderful husband, Dr. Princy Rekhi. Seattle is the perfect place to pursue many of my interests, as I enjoy biking, hiking, and kayaking.

Dr. Rekhi and I have 2young sons, Gagan and Preet, both who arejust a ball of energy and whose smiles makeevery day perfect. They are the love of our lives and keepus busy and smiling 24/7. When Im not in the office, Im with the boys. I enjoy exploring the world with themand seeing things through theirperspective. We enjoy traveling as a family, both nationally and internationally, especially exploring new cities and countries.

I am passionate about healthy eating and healthy living. Im always interested in learning about the latest in holistic and naturopathic medicine. I love getting recipes from patients and exchanging healthcare tips with them. We often learn from each other.
