Timothy P. Bashford, DDS has been a practicing dentist in the Chicagoland area for more than 35 years. Born and raised in Iowa, Dr. Bashford became a resident of Southern California at the age of 13, when his family moved to Los Angeles. After completing high school as well as his undergraduate studies in California, he returned to the Midwest to attend dental school at Northwestern University.
Dr. Bashford has dynamic experience in the dental field. For 20 years, he served as a Solo Practitioner, building and managing his own practice on the Northside of Chicago. During this time, he also served as a Dental Consultant for Delta Dental of Illinois, working in the Department of Professional Review. Dr. Bashford has continued his career as a Solo Practitioner, expanding his practice to the Northwest suburbs.
Dr. Bashford has remained on the cutting-edge of dentistry by incorporating new modalities and technologies into his repertoire. A pioneer in the treatment of dental sleep medicine, temporomandibular and craniofacial pain, these specialties have become his expertise. He has co-authored articles on the topics of sleep disordered breathing and sleep medicine, which have been featured in publications such as Disease-a-Month for primary care physicians. He has worked closely with Dr. Bryan Keropian in implementing alternative treatments for sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing. Dr. Bashford remains true to his core values by creating positive outcomes and optimal results for his patients.
