Customer service is the thing of the past. First I want to give a huge shout out the the wonderful women who work in this dental office. They are the only good thing about it. They will literally do anything to help you and I absolutely love them! I have been a patient at this dentist office for over 5 years now and I never had any issues with Dr. Barnes before today. Last night I had a crown pop off while I was eating and packing as we are moving out of the state in two days. I was able to save it. I waited until this morning to call the emergency number for the doctor. You see I believe that teeth falling out should be considered an emergency. Dr. Barnes did not think that this was an emergency. I explained to him that my tooth fell out and we are moving and asked if he could see me as soon as possible. He then proceeded to tell me that he does not appreciate being told what to do especially when he is called at 7am for a non dental emergency. I never once told him what to do. I simply asked if he could. When he told me that he wasn't going to be in the office until Monday (the 31st) and only because a "special" patient who has been going there for 35 years has an emergency, so he could see me after that. I once again explained that we were moving to a different state and we were leaving on the 31st. He continued to talk down to me and belittle me. He even went as far as to tell me that I could shop around for a different dentist but they would take me to the cleaners and at least his office had loyalty to me. He even told me that there was no guarantee that he could put the crown back on so to "go ahead and get the crocodile tears out of the way before I go to the office". Never again will I ever recommend Dr. Timothy Barnes to another living soul. He made it quite clear that unless you have been going to him for years he isn't going to treat you with respect. If you are a Doctor and you have an emergency line you CANNOT get mad at people when they use it! His behavior was and is completely inexcusable.
