A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dr. Sackos grew up in the Southwest and moved to Texas to complete her undergraduate and post-graduate education. She is a graduate of the University of Houston, which she attended while on a full-ride NCAA Division I athletic scholarship for soccer. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Biology. Dr. Sackos then continued her education and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UT Health School of Dentistry in San Antonio, graduating with high honors. While in dental school, Dr. Sackos was awarded the prestigious Award for Clinical Excellence in Dentistry, The Academy of General Dentistry Senior Dental Student award, The Southwest Prosthodontic Society Dental Student award, as well as induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Sackos then pursued a General Practice Residency at UAB Hospital where she received advanced dental training and education in oral surgery, dental implants, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry on patients with medically complex conditions.
Dr. Sackos passion for dentistry is rooted in her love for creating beautiful smiles and fostering meaningful relationships with her patients. She strives to provide excellent dentistry and educate each of her patients on the importance of oral health and the care they receive.
As a member of the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, Birmingham District Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Sackos prioritizes continuing education and providing the best, state-of-the-art dental treatment options for her patients.
Dr. Sackos and her husband, Greg, have lived in Birmingham, Alabama for three years and have two cats. When not in the office, Dr. Sackos enjoys traveling with her husband, running the trails at Oak Mountain State Park, and playing disc golf.

It's be a while since I've been in a medical office of any kind where I've experienced and witnessed such care and kindness towards patients. The office was clean and welcoming. I went in for a second opinion and left with a solution. Answer to prayer for me. Dr. Dunn and staff seem to love what they do!
