We strive to be the premier oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in the Puget Sound area. Through respect, integrity, ambition, and goodwill, we serve as a positive and caring foundation of excellence for our patients, friends, colleagues, and community.

Each of our oral and maxillofacial surgeons are members of the American Dental Association (ADA) and numerous local and national organizations. Our doctors take every precaution to ensure our patients feel safe and informed about their treatment and the options available.

Our staff of CRNAs work in collaboration with our oral surgeons to provide a variety of anesthesia and sedation options to help patients feel more at ease during treatment, as well as to manage discomfort during any type of surgical procedure.

Each member of our team at Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery focuses on providing every patient with attentive, individualized care. Our front desk staff is well-versed in financial and insurance policies, scheduling, and can help you find the right way to afford the care you need. Kitsap Oral, Maxillofacial & Dental Implant Surgery has served patients in Kitsap County for over 30 years. We have offices in Silverdale, Poulsbo, and Port Orchard, WA, and welcome patients of all ages to experience exceptional care from a group of professionals you can trust.

Dr. Sukhdeep Dhaliwal grew up in Surrey, British Columbia, and was inspired to become an oral surgeon after undergoing surgery to correct a skeletal malocclusion when he was 22. He was fascinated by the techniques used throughout his personal surgical journey and now practices these techniques and more for patients with a variety of oral and maxillofacial conditions.

Looking for a practice that strived to provide exceptional patient care, he interviewed with Dr. Curran and Dr. Greenawalt prior to finishing his residency. Dr. Dhaliwal appreciated their skill set, experience, and honest approach to patient care, and knew that this practice would be an excellent fit. He enjoys practicing alongside colleagues who he can collaborate with and continuously learn from.

Dr. Dhaliwal enjoys helping patients overcome their dental anxieties by offering numerous anesthesia and sedation options. The most rewarding aspect of his profession is exceeding the expectations of his patients while making a positive impact on their lives.

Dr. Dhaliwal is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA), a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Dental Association (ADA), former President of Kitsap County Dental Society, and current President of Kitsap County Medical Society.

Dr. Paul Greenawalt is from Twin Cities, Minnesota. He became an oral surgeon because he enjoys taking care of people and working with his hands. Oral surgery poses challenges that he can overcome through a combination of precision and technical expertise.

While serving active duty in the Navy, Dr. Greenawalt also worked at this practice for almost a year. After he left the Navy, he joined this practice as an associate and then became a full-time partner. When considering a practice to join, Dr. Greenawalt looked for a group practice with a strong focus on implant dentistry. He wanted to work alongside specialists interested in continuing education, both to expand upon their knowledge and to share information through lectures and presentations. Dr. Greenawalt approaches each day with enthusiasm and positivity because he loves what he does.

Dr. Greenawalt can almost always find a way to relate to patients and their families on a personal level. Helping patients feel like theyre a person, not just a case, reduces anxiety and nervousness. Pre and post-operative instructions are tailored to every patient to coordinate with their lifestyle and overall health needs. He finds it rewarding to take something that people might be afraid of or avoid, and turn it into a worthwhile and positive experience that is better than they expected.

Dr. Greenawalt is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology (NDBA). He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA), the Washington State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (WSSOMS), the Kitsap County Dental Society, and is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA).

Dr. Thomas Curran is from Syracuse, New York, and was inspired to pursue healthcare by his mom, a registered nurse. He became interested in oral surgery while serving as a general dentist in the Navy. He enjoys the more challenging surgical procedures and being able to provide greater service to individuals and communities. During their travels as a Navy family, he and his wife decided that the West Puget Sound area would be the best place to raise their three children. An oral surgeon friend invited him to join a new practice in Kitsap County in 1993 and he jumped at the opportunity. He resigned his commission after serving 12 years in the Navy, and his family moved from Florida to Silverdale, Washington.

When looking for a practice to join, Dr. Curran wanted a positive work environment that focuses on patient needs. He believes in earning his patients trusts and wanted to be the practice that everyone refers to as the first choice for oral and maxillofacial surgery care. This practice delivers an exceptional level of patient care and continues to excel at the hands of the other doctors here. Dr. Curran specifically enjoys orthognathic surgery and the collaborative effort of dental implant cases.

Patients can expect to be listened to and treated with respect. Dr. Curran and his team are careful during evaluation. He answers any questions and communicates with other healthcare professionals as needed to provide the exact type of care each patient needs. His philosophy is to treat patients the way he would want to be cared for.

Dr. Curran earned a bachelors in biology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, in 1977 and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The State University of New York Dental School in Buffalo in 1981. He completed a general dentistry residency at the Navy Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, in 1982, and an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA, in 1989.

Dr. Curran is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS). He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Washington State Dental Association (WDSA), Kitsap County Dental Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA).

Outside of work, Dr. Curran loves spending time with his wife, Lani. Together, they enjoy traveling and attending church. He enjoys reading of all sorts, including novels, history, theology, and biographies. Dr. Curran is part of a local aviation club and loves flying airplanes. He also enjoys bicycling and riding every other day, including the occasional longer treks like the Seattle to Portland Tour.
